III. GENERAL AND BEHAVIORAL OBSERVATIONS

Anhelí is a girl of wheat test, hair with some waves and medium long, slanted eyes,
semi-thick build, appropriate size for her age. No evidence of any physical or
sensory problems on observation. Attended the evaluation in proper hygienic
conditions, with proper attire for the season.

The examinee during the two sessions was very friendly and smiling to engage in
dialogue with the examiner. In the first session she showed some apathy in the
development of the Digits and Concepts tasks because she was coming from a
week in which she had not done very well at school; she showed great ability for
the task that involved attention-concentration and Visual Memory, on the other
hand she showed boredom (yawning) in the Similarities part; in this first stage there
were periods of rest where the child started to play to distract herself from the
work.n - concentration and Visual Memory, on the other hand she showed boredom
(yawning) in the part of Similarities; in this first stage there were periods of rest
where the child started to play to distract herself from the intellectual work done.
As for the second session, there were no major inconveniences because it was
carried out optimally; there was a positive attitude for all the tasks that were
performed. At the end of the two sessions, the girl said goodbye with a cordial kiss
on the cheek.

IV. RESULTS

Anhelí in the development of the tasks involved in the evaluation of her

performance reached an overall level of NORMAL AVERAGE (C.I.). 94); among the
evaluated indexes, we have that in Verbal Comprehension (C.I. 97), Perceptual
Reasoning (C.I. 100), Working Memory (C.I. 91) and Processing Speed (I.Q. 99)
achieved a performance of NORMAL AVERAGE. On the other hand, at 95%
confidence it is observed that the actual overall performance of the evaluee would
be within the C.I. scores. from 88 (LOW NORMAL) to 100 (AVERAGE NORMAL); on
the other hand the actual C.I. The most attainable performance possible for
Processing Speed (90 to 109), Perceptual Reasoning (91 to 108) and Verbal
Comprehension (90 to 106) would be within the AVERAGE category, while for
Working Memory the actual attainable performance (I.Q. 83 to 101) would fall
within the LOW AVERAGE to AVERAGE diagnostic categories.

In relation to the tasks evaluated within the test, it is found that the examinee
shows AVERAGE ability with a high tendency in the reproduction of models,
manipulation of objects, location of objects in space, analysis and synthesis; visual
perception of abstract stimuli, quick memory, visual memory; attention and
concentration, immediate memory, auditory sequenceVisual perception of abstract

baja en la Selección y verbalización de relaciones entre dos conceptos que no
parecen similares a un aspecto; Retención de información, Memoria Inmediata;
Análisis de características para la obtención de conceptos; Manejo de
informacióAVERAGE with a low tendency in the following skills: Information
Management, Conceptual Ability, Word Formation, Meaning Management; Visual
Search Speed, Visual Immediate Memory, Visual Attention; Use of experiences
learned at home or school to give logical answers; Locating features through clues
to arrive at the searched concept.

V. CONCLUSIONS

• The examinee obtained an overall performance of 94 with the diagnostic

category of AVERAGE; in the evaluated indexes of Perceptual Reasoning,
Processing Speed, Verbal Comprehension and Working Memory she achieved
I.Q. scores of 100, 99, 97, 91 respectively with a similar performance of
AVERAGE.

• At 95% confidence level, it was found that the real C.I. Anhelí's total (88 to 100)
would fall between the LOW AVERAGE to AVERAGE diagnostic categories.

• At 95% confidence, it can be observed that the actual performance of Anhelí in

the indexes of Processing Speed (90 to 109), Perceptual Reasoning (91 to 108)
and Verbal Comprehension (90 to 106) would be within the AVERAGE. On the
other hand, in the Working Memory factor, the real C.I. would range from 83 to
101 with LOW AVERAGE to AVERAGE performance.

• Shows an AVERAGE Ability with a high tendency in the activities of Cubes, Clues,
Letters and Numbers, Matrices, Comprehension, Incomplete Figures, Animals,
Arithmetic.

• The evaluated student shows AVERAGE Ability with low tendency in Similarities,
Digits, Concepts, Vocabulary, Symbol Search, Information and Riddles.

VI. RECOMMENDATIONS

• Encourage the child to develop her intellectual skills to consolidate her

AVERAGE performance as carelessness would increase the possibility of the
examinee dropping to a LOW AVERAGE level.

• Stimulate the area of Perceptual Reasoning and Processing Speed with tasks
such as Special Object Orientation, Visual Perception, Logical Thinking,
Attention - Concentration and Visual Memory to have a greater probability that
the child will reach a HIGH AVERAGE development.

• Encourage the girl to practice techniques that promote memory work in order
to continue sustaining her AVERAGE performance, since a neglect in this index
would increase the chances that the category obtained would drop to LOW
AVERAGE.
