INTRODUCTION

The floor is the horizontal bottom surface of an architectural space, the "place you walk on". Also, in
colloquial language, the different levels of a building are called floors. Sometimes the term floor is
mistakenly used instead ofslab, which is the horizontal structural element of a floor.

Inarchitecture, the different levels are calledfloors and the materials that make up the upper surface
of each floor are called pavements, including those of the areas outside the building. Both the word
plant and floor arehomonyms.

1. OBJECTIVES

The objective of this work is to know the main terms and symbols used in the floor levels for the
case of buildings, whether housing, multi-family, condominiums, schools, hospitals, etc.

2. THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

For housing constructions, buildings, hospitals, schools, shopping centers, etc.

The following symbology is used to identify floor levels:

N.L.A.E. High elevator bed level

N.L.B.E. Elevator low bed level

N.L.B.V. Low window bed level

N.L.A.V. High window bed level

 The following symbology is used for floor levels:

 The symbology N.T.P. is written on an architectural plan. +/-0.00 , in which it

should be noted how many centimeters above or below (depending on the type of
construction) the sidewalk our N.T.P. is located.

3. CONCLUSIONS
 Levels are referenced to the actual ground level as per topographic survey.
 The N.T.P. includes finishes.
 FALSE FLOOR LEVEL: The false floor is a simple concrete slab that supports and
distributes the loads that will be applied on the floor of the house.
 FALSE CEILING LEVEL: False ceilings, ceiling tiles or ceilings are constructive elements
located at a certain distance from the slab orceiling itself.
