20. A verse to wash
I WASH in the dew and valleys (17) in the brightness of your fire, my lord. I
place your blessed form between my eyes. I cleanse myself of all my enemies and their
spells[formáli]. I wash myself of the power and anger of powerful men. The world will
be favorable to me, with friends and good deeds. The land[phron] will be delightful to
me (n.t.: full of) goods[fé] and acquisitions. Everything will be successful: whatever I
need to do, talk about, think about. This I ask you lord king of glory[dyrdarkonungur],
so that everyone who sees me today will have to give me good looks and will be
delighted with me, as the blessed DONCELLA MARION (n.t: Virgin Mary) was with
her, dear son when she found him on the banks of the Jordan River.

21. Prayer-Coraza(byrnie)
Hear me, Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit [andi], one Father, molder of
all things, ruling in Glory with all the Saints. Be Thou a breastplate and shield for my
soul [sál], my life and my body [líkama] both within and without, for sight and hearing,
taste, smell and touch; for flesh and blood, veins and muscles, cartilage and bone,
entrails, and of my whole body movements and connections. Indeed, through your name,
Lord, may all my joints and members receive life and spirit, to move, and to be
strengthened and become one. Protect me, my lord, on the left and on the right, forwards
and backwards, when I stoop and when I rise, in bad weather, in waters great and small,
in the sea, in the high waves, in the confusing darkness, when I walk, when I stand, in
dreams and awake, in silence and when I speak, and in all the labors of my body. Protect
me, my lord, days and nights; help me, Almighty God in Holy Trinity- ADONAIJ

go on all fours, and from all crawling beasts.
Protect me, my lord, from all evil, from fire and the blast of thunder,[reidar

of the earth, and from all dangerous phases of the moon, from the most dangerous
poison [af eitre fiolkinga], from all looks of envious eyes, from evil words and works
and dangerous situations, from worms, from all demons of darkness and darkness, from
all demons of darkness and darkness, from all evil words and works and dangerous

all the looks of envious eyes, from evil words and works and dangerous situations, from

the enemy, who wants to hide me from all good things, here and before death, and in
death, and in the other world after death, Thou God Lord, who livest and commandest in
perfect and Holy Trinity, one God forever and ever, Amen.

23. To be able to count playing cards, the ones below (23)

1: 739 King : 6 :5
4: Jack : 8 :
Queen 10.2

24 . The 109th Psalm of David (24)

God be not silent concerning my prayer, for they have opened their filthy mouths
against me and spoken against me with a false tongue.
And they speak maliciously against me everywhere and strive against me without
cause.
Because I love them, they are against me, but I pray. They will give me evil in
exchange for good and hate in exchange for love.
Set a man who does not fear a god over him, and the enemy (25) will always be
at his right hand.
When his case goes to trial, he will be convicted and his prayer will become a
sin. (26)
May your days be few and may someone else take over your position.
Be his children fatherless and his wife a widow.
Let your children wander without purpose and beg for alms for souls and go as
poor men who are ruined.
Let usurers suck up all you have, and strangers take all your wealth.
And let there be none to show him kindness and none to be pitied by his
fatherless children.
May his descendants be uprooted and his name be erased from the next
generation. Let the wiles of their fathers be remembered and shown before the face of
the Lord, and the sins of the mother never forgotten.
May the Lord never forgive them and may their memory be erased from the face
of the earth.
For he had no mercy in any undertaking, and persecuted those poor and needy,
and even sent those sunk in misery to Hel [ kill them].
As he desired to curse, so let him have it, and as he received blessing, so let him
be separate from it.
And as he clothed himself with the curse, as a garment, let him then go to his
bowels like water and his bones resemble butter.
Be to him as a garment in which he dresses, and as a belt to which he is fastened
all the time, tight. May all this happen to all my enemies and to anyone who speaks
maliciously against my soul (27). But You, Lord, be with me for Your name's sake, for
Your mercy is my consolation, answer me, for I am poor and helpless - my heart is torn
in two within me.
I am gone from here like a fading shadow (28), and cast out like a plague of
locusts.
My knees are weak from fasting and my flesh is pale and fatless. And I must
have become a disgrace to them; when they saw me, they clapped their hands. Show me
help, my Lord God, and help me according to your mercy.
Let them know that this is Your hand, and that You, Lord, have acted faithfully
(credibly, faithfully). They will curse but You will bless; if they rise up against me, let
them fall in sorrow and Your servant in rejoicing.
Be my enemies at once clothed in disgrace, and be covered with grief as with a
kirtle.
Greatly, I want to thank the Lord with my mouth, and praise Him in the crowd.
For He will be on the side of the poor, so that He will turn Him away from those
who want to go through the judgment of His life. (29)

25 . Washing verse
I wash myself in the dew and in the bath of the day (30), and in the brightness of
your fire, my lord. I wash away all the power of my enemies, and of the greed of
dangerous men and of all those who have evil intentions toward me (31). Let
covetousness run, and let contention be stayed, so that I may be greeted kindly and
smiling looks in my eyes, and the greatest good deeds be in my mouth.
May God observe me, as well as good men, as well as other men, with eyes that
bestow nothing but blessing- It is the helmet of terror (32) that I wear between my
brows- May the world and the earth be kind to me. Let my enemies be as delighted with
me as the child who drinks milk from his mother's breast, and as St. Mary was delighted
with her son when she saw him for three days and found him on high* among his
teachers.
Let their anger march and their quarrel be stopped, let their breasts be cooled and
the base of their hearts be melted before the power and art of the great one who gives
form - Jhesu Christi. Let his wrath depart from me, as the sun sinks into the sea. May
God deliver their (their) wrath and hatred from me, just as he delivered Susanna from
great disgrace and Daniel from the pit of the ferocious beasts, Moses from the power of
the heathen people.
Read this as you wash and look three times into the bowl of your hands(34) (n.t.:
the bowl formed by your hands when you pick up water).
26 For the wrath of powerful men
I wash away all my enemies, and the power and wrath of mighty men, so that
they will congratulate me with good thanks and look at me with smiling eyes. My eyes
project love and I can settle the disputes of life, I can settle cases concerning the most
powerful men. God will watch me, every man will look at me with eyes that bear good
fortune - I wear the helmet of terror between my eyebrows -. May the world and the
earth be as kind as friends.
Read this three times into the bowl of your hands while you have water in them,
and also read the Pater Noster each time.

27 Toplay a joke on someone, so that they can't hold their food (n.t: they won't fill their
stomach) all day.
Engrave these runes on cheese or fish and feed it to the one you want to laugh at
and whatever he eats will be of no use to him.

28 . An antidote to the previous enchantment.

If he does not get well on his own, then give him warm milk and bleached and
dried albumen by applying it to his skin; this can also be done with cattle and so no one
is harmed.
29 .to prevent a person from entering your home.
If you do not want a man to come to your dwelling, engrave this rune on rowan
wood when the sun is at its highest point and see three times with the sun[riett saelis]
and three times against the sun [ranga-saelis] around your farm and hold the rowan stick
on which the rune has been engraved, and hold sharp hawthorn grass [thistle] (37) and
leave them above your door together.

30 . To kill someone else's animal

One would have to write these runes on a leaf and throw it into the footprint of
another horse; then the animal will die, if it has offended you without cause. Disguises
the rune in the
footprint .
31 . Against shooting a troll (38)
If any kind of shot is coming your way, then read this verse at once:
BUMEN SITTIMUS CALECTIMUS ME TASUS ELI. ELOIU SIEBAHOT ELEM VE
A O NAJ.

32 . To put someone to sleep

If you want to put someone to sleep, engrave these runes on alder(39) wood and
leave them under his head (n.t.: pillow), and he will surely sleep until you remove the
wood from there.

33 Tofind a thief
In case of theft you would have to engrave these runes on the base of an ash
plate, put water on it, and add millefolium (40) in the water [and say] : "This I ask
according to the nature of the herb and the great power of the runes, that the
shadow[skuggi] (41) of the one who has taken it may appear in the water.

34 To bewitch a woman and win her love.

If you want to bewitch a woman so that she will not go with anyone except you,
make a hole in the ground in a place where she will pass, and pour some spear-etin blood
[ iotun geira blot] (43) and draw a circle of water around her, as well as her name and
these runes: [ and three times Molldthurs(45) inverted and runes Madhr, bldh , naudh ,
komla and gapalldur (46) and then read this incantation: (47) I look at you and you give
me lust and love with all your heart[hugur], you may not sit anywhere, you may not be
anywhere in your house, this I forbid from Ódhinn and all those who know how to read
(48) " Runes of woman": that you may not be anywhere in the world nor prosper, unless
you love me with all your heart . This you will feel in your bones as if they were burning
you, and in your flesh half as badly. You will meet with ruin unless you love me - you
will freeze on your feet and never meet with honor or happiness. You sit as if burned,
with your hair rotting; torn are your clothes-unless you want to be with me with your
free will.
35 Todetect a thief
Engrave these on a man's leg bone and then he will come and spit on you who
has robbed you.

36 Tofind a thief
Engrave these on an oak wand (50) and place it under the grass above a grave
and let it lie there:

hi ilia hyd ill a

hyd 2 . N hi - hid .' ......................................................... hyd
man denies.................................................................. sauruga dpfij arrives sauruga
37 Away to achieve success in a legal case.

If you want to succeed in a legal case, read this verse three times right side up
and three times upside down: VIENAT MICHI MISTERACIONIS TUE VIVAM QUIA
LEX TUA MEDI TASIO MEA EST (51)
The other way around: EST MEA TASIO MEDI TUA LEX QUIA VIVAM TUE
MISTERACIONIS MICHI VENIAT.

38 . For the protection of your horse

Read this verse on your horse when you go to unsafe places; so nothing will
harm it: COGNOVI DOMINE CUIA ECUITAS JUDIJSIA TUA ET VIRI TATES TUE
HUMIHASTE MIE. (52)

39 . Against troll shooting

If any kind of shot comes flying at you, read this line from a spread: BUMEN
SITTIMUS CALECTIMUS ME TASUS ELI ELOE SIEBAHAT ELEM VE A O NAJ.
(53)

40 . To detect a thief
Against theft take Frigg's weed (54) and leave it in water so that it remains for
three nights at a stretch. Then come back and you will be able to see who has stolen
something from you.
41 . Against anger
To paralyze all anger make this rune on your forehead with your left index
finger, and say: It is the yelkmo of terror that I carry between my eyes - anger runs away,
conflict stopped. Let every mother be content with me as Mary was content with her
blessed son when she met him on the rock of victory, (55) in the name of the Father and
of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit:

And read:
Forget, Odhinn, Evil (56) everything will bewitch you!
God Himself, with skillful Love between the two of us!

42 Against hate
If someone promotes hatred against you, persecute yourself with these words:
Climbing, tetra :
Grammaton+:
Alpha + Et +: O + Ageos +: Agios +: Otheos +:adonaij
43 . To make a woman keep quiet
If you do not want [a woman] to say what you did [with her], then take this rune,
Homa, (59), and put it in her drink, and then she will not be able to find out anything.
And you should wear this rune on the side of your chest.

And say : Help in all this, or gods: Thórr, Ódhinn, Frigg, Freia, Satan,
Beelzebub and all those gods that dwell in the Valhöll. In your most powerful name:
Ódhinn!

44 Todetect a thief
If you want to know, by magical knowledge, who robbed you, then take some
thorn bush(60) and carry it in such a way that you will never be separated. Then take a
small copper pin, together with a copper hammer, and make the following rune on the
light that crosses the house from which the thing was stolen; then stick the needle in the
right eye (61), and say at the same time: IN BUSCAN LUCANUS
the rune:

and say : FORTUM ATUM EST

Write this rune on the light beam with chalk ( n. transl.: on the ground), and the
hammer would have to be projected by the handle when the sun is strongest and (would
have to ) be made of material that has never been used, unsealed copper or bronze. (63)
45 Another way to catch a thief
If someone wants another way to learn who robbed them, then they would have
to make this rune at the base of a bowl with a wooden handled knife. Make the blood
flow from your big toe and from your right finger and let the blood drip around the rune.
Then take pure water, with millefolium, which is spread. The water would have to be
collected on the night of the midsummar after midnight, and would have to be caught
with gloves, so that nothing splashes the hands. The herb would have to be hunted with
blood, as well as these three runes:

And then ask about the matter to the glorious power of ola grass and its endless work,
which the gods send as help, Raphael, their most powerful servant, and he will show
himself here in his most powerful name, Thórr, Frigg, Beelzebub, Ódhinn.
Read three Our Fathers afterwards.

46 Runesfart
Write these runes with your own blood on white sheepskin; take the blood from
your thumb and say: I write you eight runes áss, nine runes naudh, thirteen runes thurs
(64) - which will plague your belly with bad shit and gas, and all that will fill your belly
with great fart. May it loosen you from your state and burn your bowels; may your
farting never stop, night or day. Thou shalt be as weak as the enemy Loki, who was
bound by all the gods: In thy mightiest name Lord, God, Spirit (65) Shaper, Ödhinn,
Thórr, Savior, Frey, Freya, Oper, Satan, Beelzebub , helpers, mighty god, watching with
the companies of Oteos, Mors, Notke, Vitals.

47 How can one get a helmet to hide oneself?
If you want to make a helmet to hide yourself, (66) get a chicken egg, and pour
blood from your big toe on top of it. Then the egg goes under the bird (n. trad: again),
and let him sit on top of it. Then, take the chicken and burn it in oak wood. Then put the
burnt chicken in a string bag and carry it on top of your head....
