TODAY Welcome! This morning, Pastor Steve concludes our sermon series called The New Testament Challenge, reading the New Testament in 90 days while hearing a sermon on each book. This evening we celebrate the Lords Supper. Wine is placed in the center & middle of the tray and grape juice on the outside ring. Our benevolent offering is for Love Inc. 11:00 AM Sunday School & Small Groups for All Ages 12:00 PM Fellowship Luncheon Fall Cookout 5:30 PM Evening Service 7:00 PM Deacon Training Class THIS WEEK Wednesday Midweek Ministries @ 7 PM HCS (nursery provided) Thursday LOVE Inc Bible Study @ 7 PM Hillcrest CRC Friday Tsunami Report @ 7 PM Sam & Hope Masons Home ANNOUNCEMENTS Pastor leaves for Vacation This Friday Pastor Steve and his family will be out-of-state visiting Jonathan from Friday, October 14th to Friday, October 21st. On Sunday, October 16th, Pastor Mick Knierim will preach in the morning and evening services. Nursery Workers & SS Helpers Much Needed! Presently, Cedar Church is quite short-handed for female nursery volunteers during morning worship, Sunday School & evening worship. Some of our volunteers are serving twice a month or more, due to our shortage. Additionally, we need several Sunday School helpers to assist us with our growing childrens Sunday School program. Please sign up to volunteer through our Connection Card, or see Angie Dykema (nursery) or Ted Himebook (Sunday School). OPC Japan Tsunami Report On Friday evening, October 14th at 7 PM, Vivian Garen will give a presentation on her relief work in Japan at the home of Sam & Hope Mason. More details to come!

ANNOUNCEMENTS New Members Cedar Session is pleased to announce we will publicly receive Jameson & Jane Schrier and their family on October 23rd as members of Cedar Church by letter of transfer from Harvest OPC. Soli Deo Gloria! Interested in Church Membership at Cedar? Pastor Steve will hold a membership seminar after our monthly fellowship luncheon on Sunday, November 13th, from 1:00 3:30 PM for anyone interested in learning more about church membership at Cedar. Please register through our Connection Cards, or speak to Pastor Steve. Presbytery Work Day - The presbytery is planning a work day at Grace OPC in Lansing, MI on Saturday morning, October 22, to assist them with building repairs. Save the date! If you are interested in serving in this way, please contact Tony Blair (tmblair@gmail.com or 245-2315 or 516-2351). Kent County Jail Ministry On Sunday, October 30th, Cedar Church will host our 5th Sunday chapel service at the Kent County Jail from 12:45 PM - 2:15 PM. Please keep this ministry in your prayers. The Lamont Community Church cordially invites you to witness the installation of Rev. Rodney Thole as our new Pastor. The service will be on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 7pm at our church located at 14000 48th Ave. Refreshments will be served following the installation. Love INC Love INC has many volunteer and donation opportunities. Zion Christian School Auction will be on Saturday, October 29, 4:30 p.m. Contact Melissa Postma, 616.878.9472, to make a donation or for more information. If you need any assistance, please ask one of our greeters for help. SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE Cedar Church strives to enjoy God through Spirit-empowered and Christ-centered worship. The Bible is sincerely loved, and we hope that you will find it opened up to you in a fresh and faithful manner each Sunday. A NURSERY is available near the entrance of the gymnasium, but children are always welcome in the worship service. COFFEE BREAK After the morning worship, please join us in the foyer for coffee and refreshments. KIDS BREAK After morning worship, all kids (pre-school thru 6th grade) are invited to remain in the gymnasium for snacks and fun songs with Mr. & Mrs. Himebook. SUNDAY SCHOOL - From 11 AM-12 PM, Cedar Church offers classes for all ages. Visitors are especially welcome to join us!
