Addendum regarding modification of Qualification and Maximum Age limit for various posts
Reference to our advertisement in various newspapers dated 26/7/2011 and 18/08/2011 for recruitment of various Posts in the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Punjab and thereafter advertisement dated 25/8/2011 and 27/8/11 in leading news papers for the written test and subsequently an advertisement dated 01.09.2011 for the postponement of written test due to technical reasons. 2. Qualification: Candidates are hereby informed that the qualification for the following posts has been amended/ modified as per detail given below:Sr. Post Qualification No. 1. Medical Officer MBBS from a recognized university or institution or any equivalent (MBBS) degree recognized by the Medical Council of India 2. Medical Officer A Post Graduate degree or any equivalent degree in requisite (Specialist) specialty recognized by the Medical Council of India. (Provided, if adequate number of posts graduate degree candidates are not available in any particular specialty, then a person holding 2 year diploma duly recognized by Medical Council of India may be considered). 3. Age Relaxation: Candidates, who are working under various projects of Health & Family Welfare Department, Punjab and were overage as per conditions given in our previous advertisement, can now apply for the various categories of posts as now a relaxation in age for such candidates has been granted (as available to regular employees for the state) up to the number of years of service rendered by them under various projects i.e. NRHM, PHSC and any other wing of Health & Family Department, Punjab, subject to condition that the said candidate must not exceed the maximum age limit of 45 years as on 1st Jan 2011. 4. Candidates for the post of Ophthalmic Officer, the upper age relaxation is up-to 45 years. 5. Online Application: Fresh candidates and employees of the various wings of the Health Department as mentioned in Para-3 above can now apply online for the following posts: 1. Food Inspector 17. Statistical Assistant 18. System Analyst 19. Programmer 20. Medical Officer (Dental) 6. Those candidates who have applied earlier in respect of above said advertisements need not to apply again as their candidature shall be considered. 7. For Medical Officer (Specialists), specialty wise tentative numbers of posts are as under: "Anesthesia-81, BTO-6, ENT-5, Gynae-73, Medicine-64, OPTHO-13, ORTHO-21, Pathologist-21, Pediatrics-139, Radiologist-38, Psychiatry-31, Skin-7, Surgery-60, TB & Chest10, SPM-5" 10. All other terms and conditions will remain same for the posts mentioned at para no. 5.
