All graduates attending convocation should wear white dress, black shoes and a convocation gown, which will be given to all the registered graduates on payment of a refundable deposit.

Graduates attending convocation

All graduates attending convocation have to register on or before 19-08-2011 positively. Only registered graduates are permitted to attend the convocation in person. In view of large number of graduates, it is impossible to accommodate late registrations. Please do not put yourself in an embarrassing situation. Send a mail to dean, Academic Affairs (dean_acad@nitw.ac.in) with the following details in the form of doc attachment (please do not send in docx format). In the subject of the mail clearly mention In Person Registration for Eighth Convocation. Graduating degree and specialization: Roll Number: Graduating Year:

Name (as it appears in the uploaded list of graduates): Identity Proof, which will be produced at the time of reporting (Please note that the same will have to be produced in original on 26.8.2011) Permanent Postal Address (in Case of non-reporting on 26-08-2011, degree certificate will be sent to this address by registered post): For reporting on 26.08.2011, all the graduates have to produce in original, provisional degree certificate and the NITW identity card (any other government issued identity card with photograph like passport, driving license or pancard are also acceptable). In the absence any of these documents, it will not be possible to allow the graduates for the convocation. Please do not expect any individual email. List of registered candidates will be put up in the website by 22.08.2011.

Graduates unable to attend convocation

Graduates who are not able to attend the convocation in person on 27-08-2011 are requested to note that the degree certificates cannot be issued to any other person including parents. All the graduates, who are unable to attend the convocation in person, are to register for the convocation in absentia by sending the following details in the form of signed and scanned attachment to the mail to dean, academic affairs (dean_acad@nitw.ac.in). In the subject of the mail clearly mention In Absentia Registration for Eighth Convocation Graduating degree and specialization: Roll Number: Graduating Year:

Name (as it appears in the uploaded list of graduates):

Permanent Postal Address (Degree certificate will be sent to this address by registered post):

Signature of the Graduate Address Slip (Write the address clearly the same slip will be affixed on the cover for dispatching the degree certificate)

Please note that the graduates, who are not able to attend the convocation and have not registered for in absentia before 19.08.2011, will have to personally come to the Institute on any working day after August 2011 for collecting the degree certificates.

Graduates are requested not to send mails repeatedly and not to call Dean AA for enquiries.
