Chapter One
Geon looked down at the body of his adopted aunt, Dorothy. The woman lay in a peaceful pose. He had never seen a dead body before, and Dorothy looked as if she were merely asleep, having one of her little naps that she enjoyed. Soon she would rise, and head out to the gardens with the maze, the fruit trees, and the small but noisy animal enclosure. Geon tried to stifle tears that burned his eyes at the memory of so many days spent contentedly with his eccentric aunt. He clasped her cold hand in his warm one, and blinked away the sadness. Dorothy had told him once that death was just another journey everyone eventually went on, and that there should be no reason to be upset when her time came. He wished that he could believe her, and squeezed her pale hand gently. The moment that he touched her, Geons physical form began to change. First, his fingers took on a yellow pallor, speckled with liver spots. Then his nails became longerpainted burgundy, just like his aunts. Geon grimaced,
Page 2

yet the stronger his feelings grew, the easier it became to transform. He didnt want to look like Dorothy. He placed her hand back down gently, and shifted back on his seat near the side of the bed. Dorothy had never liked to see Geon use his ability to shape-shift. The only time she had ever raised her voice in anger was when she witnessed his change. It was a thing that he tried to control, but was never truly successful with it. He had been able to mimic a few of the animals she kept, and on one occasion, he was able to look like her, but only with a great deal of concentration and expended energy. Geons thoughts were broken when Dorothys nephew, Robert entered the room from an adjoining door. Robert stilled when he saw the grieving man. The last vestiges of Dorothys features slowly melted away with Geons nervous intake of breath. I thought I told you to stay out of here, the deceptively low warning voice that Robert used, meant that he was trying to restrain himself. This was the first stage before inevitably, some random thing would tip him over, and he would
Page 3

explode in a rage. Geon remained silent. He had seen enough of Roberts violent temper to last a lifetime, and he still felt the dull ache in his shoulders, from the previous occasion that Robert had disciplined him. Get back to your room, animal, Roberts voice had risen in volume, and he approached the bed slowly. Dont make me use the tool on you. Geon whipped his head up at the mention of the sonic device that Robert used to keep him in order. The device made a piercing sound that would floor Geon, and leave him in immense pain. Robert almost always wore small earplugs, and he regularly carried the tool, but as Geon took in Roberts black mourning attire, a possibility sprang to mind. There was a chance that Robert may have left the device back in his room, with his everyday clothing. Are you listening to me? Robert growled ominously at the lack of response. For heavens sake, youre twenty years old, and youre acting like a spoilt child. Roberts face grew crimson, and a lock of his blonde hair fell from behind his ear, distracting him for a moment.
Page 4

I just wanted to say goodbye to auntie. I wasnt doing anything wrong, Geon muttered, and fingered the little silver disc that dangled from his neck. He could feel the change coming; the tingling sensation that alerted him to a transformation. He willed himself to not alter his form in front of Robert. Dorothy had been the only human that he was able to copy, but now, as he backed away slightly, Geon felt something new. He could feel his hair contract against his scalp: he nervously held a length in his fingers, and his panic grew stronger as the brown gave way to blond. The hair grew shorter, to match Roberts, and Geon gulped, silently begging his body to stop. After a second, the original color returned and his hair hung down once more. Geon sighed with relief. This was no time to discover a new skill. Shes my aunt, not yours you have no right to be in her room. You should be out in the menagerie with the other animals, not here, Robert spat, getting even closer to Geon. I am not an animal, Geon whispered, more to Dorothy, than to Robert and then he bent
Page 5

down and cradled his aunt in his arms, shaking quietly. Take your hands off her. Geon looked up, with opaque blue eyes that opened wide with fear. Dorothys face replaced his; her plump visage transposed onto his face. Do you have no respect for the dead? Roberts voice was full of disbelief. Geon looked down at himself, for a moment, and the image of the old woman disappeared, instead dark brown fur sprouted all over. That too vanished, as Geon shook himself, he gasped with pain at the confused transformation. Im not leaving her with you, he said as he swept Dorothy against his chest. In a swift movement, he dashed from the room, and Roberts howls of outraged anger rang out as he fled. As Geon ran down the dark corridor, swaying beams of torchlight swept the long hallway behind him, but he carried on, directed his gaze forward, and concentrated on getting away. He spared a quick glance down at the body of Dorothy, as she lay slumped in his arms, still and
Page 6

silent. He feared what would happen to him now that she was really gone. He had been her pet her companion, and without her, Robert would take over as his new owner. The very thought of that happening made his steps faster, and he ran on in the shadows. Robert had come to the house almost three years ago, and had enthralled his aunt with his playboy attitude, and youthful good looks. Geon had watched hopelessly as the rogue had taken over more and more of Dorothys affairs, insinuating himself deeper, until she had come to depend on her nephew for all her needs. Robert had been careful to keep anyone else away, and he had replaced most of the staff, including Mr. Atkins, who had been Dorothys butler and a friend to them both for as long as Geon could remember. It was Atkins who had tried to protect Geon at first, by hiding his secret, until Robert had discovered Geons true nature, and had proceeded to exploit that too. Geon rounded a corner, and faced the entrance to the guest suite. The last time he had been there, Robert had dragged him bodily into the room where an associate had waited for him. He
Page 7

had spent hours trapped with the two men, used and debased for their enjoyment. Even when that terrible event had happened, Geon knew that they wouldnt risk permanently damaging him, because Dorothy would ask too many questions. But now that she was gone, nothing would stand in Roberts way. Geon took a steadying breath and entered the first room. The large ornate windows looked out onto the gardens below. He lumbered to the balcony, closed his eyes, and leapt. It was a long fall from the third storey room, but Geon tried to be gentle; he landed on the front lawn as softly as his form would allow, and grunted as he pulled Dorothy to a nearby apple tree, laying her beneath the bare branches. When Dorothy had been diagnosed with cervical cancer, she had told him that she wanted to die surrounded by her animal friends; creatures that she had dedicated her life to. But now there was no time to take her to the private menagerie, but she could still be out in the open, in the natural world that she loved. Shouts could be heard from the house, angry commanding voices, but Geon ignored them for
Page 8

a moment, and wept, shaking out his rage with noisy cries and howls. Dorothy had been good to him, had raised him and treated him well. She hadnt deserved any of this. Geon carefully removed the thin shawl that covered her shoulders, and tied it around his bare waist, but then he faltered, and slipped it over her form instead her favorite paisley shawl now adorned her as a shroud. Geon was naked in the cool evening air, but it didnt matter to him. He shook himself briskly, and soft brown fur sprouted instantly all over his body. He crouched down to all fours and padded away; the silver disc that hung from his neck tinkled as he moved.

Chapter Two
Stephan swept his hand through his short afro hair, and silently cursed his neighbors. He hadnt managed to get a wink of sleep last night, thanks mainly to the loud party next door. He gathered up the empty pizza box from last evenings meal, and stomped down the exterior stairs to the narrow alley below. He had been awake since three in the morning his neighbors drunken guests had made so much noise, that sleep had proved elusive. Stephan had resorted to drinking a hot cocoa laced with a generous splash of rum, and that had relaxed him enough to get a little rest, but not as much as he needed. Stephan pulled his fluffy blue robe around him, and tried not to wince as each step on the metal staircase juddered and rattled with his movements. It was another mild morning, in what had been an unseasonably warm winter; only the single string of fairy lights blinking away in his kitchen window betrayed the fact that it was now December, and Christmas was only three days away.
Page 10

A dark movement followed by a clatter made Stephan spin in a circle as he approached the rubbish bins. He stood still for a moment, listening for more commotion, but when none followed, Stephan deposited his refuse. He looked up in surprise as a shadow fell over him; a naked young man stood on the other side of the bins. A bulky sack conveniently hid the lower half from view, but Stephan could still see the line of brown hair that led down to the strangers crotch. He lifted his gaze slowly, and willed himself not to stare. That must have been some party his neighbors had thrown, if the guests had ended up like that. Got any food? the stranger asked politely, and took a step forward. Youre looking for food? Stephans breath caught in his throat, and his voice came out as a squeak. I think Ive got something inside. Stephan gestured up to his flat, and stepped further away. The man took another step forward, and this time nothing could hide the fact that he was most definitely naked. Stephan ran up the rattling staircase with haste, until he stepped inside his kitchen through the
Page 11

back door. He darted to the fridge, and surveyed the meager contents; there were cold noodles, orange juice, milk, a few squares of chocolate and a sole tomato that squished in his hands as he grabbed it. He had meant to do some grocery shopping for Christmas, but had been put off by the panicking shoppers in town. It was just his luck to have a man around, with only scraps to feed him with. Stephan briefly thought of how his flatmate, Danny would have been appalled at this situation. Danny always stocked their home with good food and drink a perk of working in a staff restaurant. He was a good friend, and Stephan had once hoped that one day they would be closer, but it seemed as if Dannys extended family in Wales, took up all of his energies he was always talking on the phone to them, conversing in loud Welsh for hours on end. Danny was with them now, hundreds of miles away from this intriguing situation. Stephan clasped the food items to his chest, and then fought to not drop everything, as the stranger stood before him once more.
Page 12

Sweet Pet

How did you get in? Stephans voice was a surprised yelp. I followed you, the stranger replied, with that, he pulled out a chair, and sat at the kitchen table. Have you got any cereal? he asked hopefully, and looked disappointed when Stephan shook his head. Stephan deposited the food and drink, and then turned to the door one of Dannys coats hung there. Its probably too big, but mate, you must be cold. He stayed at a respectful distance whilst he handed him the coat. The stranger shrugged it on, and sighed slowly. Warm, he purred the word, and the sound was low and long. So how did you end up out there? Did you get carried away at the party? Stephan asked, as he leant against the kitchen sink. The man looked up from his food, and slurped a long coil of noodles into his mouth with a pop. I got lost, he spoke around a mouthful of food.
Page 13

Sweet Pet

Are you okay? Stephan asked, only then realizing that the man had demolished all the food before him. I am fine. Thank you for the food and the coat. I wont bother you any further. He rose and drew the bulky coat around his slim frame. Why didnt you go back next-door? Im sure someone will be able to find your clothes. My clothes are not next door. I did not attend the party. I am not who you think I am, he intoned patiently. So who are you? Stephan asked warily, eyeing the door that led outside. My name is Geon. And you were just hanging around in the alley? Yes, Geon said with a smile. This must be awkward for you. Are you going to rob me, or do something horrible? Stephan asked slowly. I hate violence, Geon replied with a bright smile.
Page 14

Sweet Pet

Good, because I hate it too, Stephan breathed out a sigh. The names Stephan. Are you sure youll be okay? If you have any more food to spare, Ill gladly accept it. Stephan looked to the cupboards, to the Christmas cake hidden inside that he had been saving its tempting aroma seemed to call to him. Stephan wasnt a fan of the season, and having no family to speak of, Christmas was often a solitary affair. Danny had asked him to go back to Wales with him, but he had refused, when he thought of being a stranger in the middle of Dannys happy family. I smell sugar, and cinnamon, molasses and almonds. Geon interrupted his thoughts, tilted his head, and smiled. So how long have you been homeless? Stephan asked. Because I think theres a shelter in town, Im sure they can help you out mate. Stephan reached up into the cupboard, and pulled out the cake. My friend, Danny made this, he said it was a boozy wonder.

Page 15

Sweet Pet

My aunty never let me drink alcohol, but Ill give it a try. Is she who you usually stay with? Stephan asked, and Geon looked away, before he lifted the sweet moist cake to his lips. The sound Geon made when he bit into a slice of Christmas cake caught Stephans attention. The loud murmur of satisfaction echoed around the room, and Geon seemed lost in sensation. You see? Youre fine with a little booze. Stephan held up his small bottle of rum, and waved it in front of Geon. Lets have a toast, eh? He poured a measure into a glass, and handed the bottle to Geon. To chance meetings! Stephan lifted his glass, and then shot out his hand, as the young man placed the bottle to his lips, and swallowed a large gulp Stephan was too slow to stop him, and he winced in sympathy, as Geon screwed up his face. Blargh! he cried out the single utterance, and fell, face down onto the kitchen table the crockery rattled with the impact, and then all was silent. Stephan rolled his eyes, and then reached over to feel for a pulse in Geons neck. The quick
Page 16

fluttering beneath his fingers made Stephans features alter and change into a scowl. A gentle snore emanated from the prone man, and his scowl turned into a smile he was harmless. Geon was still asleep when Stephan came back to the kitchen, after he had showered and dressed. He took his time to inspect the man; Geons straight brown hair covered his face, and his long fingers were thin. He was a slim man, could probably eat as much as he wanted and not get any bigger, unlike Danny, who was a fan of good food, and as round as a barrel. Stephan went to the lounge and flicked on the television, then quickly turned it off again, when the endless parade of Christmas advertisements showed no sign of stopping. He hated to admit it, but Dannys cake and the rum had affected him too; he had drunk it on an almost-empty stomach, after a sleepless night, and he suddenly felt exhausted. Stephan wasnt a big drinker, the occasional beer whilst watching the cricket was all he usually had. He closed his eyes, lay back on the large sofa, and enjoyed the silence, until he too dozed off.
Page 17

Chapter Three
Stephan opened his eyes some time later. He took in the sight of the ceiling, decorated with a few garlands of tinsel. His eyes swept over the scattering of Christmas cards pinned to the wall, and as his gaze moved lower, he gawped in amazement at a brown bear curled up at his feet. Stephans breath froze in his lungs, and he forced himself to pant silently. The creature sat sleeping at the far end of the couch, and its weight made the springs groan and dip down low. He drew his feet up, bent his knees to his chest, and inched backwards, frantically darting his head around to spot a means of escape. The living-room windows were behind the bear, and the door out of the room seemed miles away. When Stephan glanced back from the door, the bear was awake; big green eyes blinked sleepily at him. And then the creature did the damnedest thing it spoke. Did I wake you? Stephan jumped up with a loud yelp, and the
Page 18

bear did the same thing before it froze. It held out a hand, and shook it the fur disappeared instantly, and a human hand was revealed. Im so sorry. Geon shook once more and the furry bulk vanished, leaving smooth pale skin behind. He smiled down at himself for a moment, and then looked back up to Stephan, as the frightened man backed away further, eyes wide with disbelief. Stay away from me, Stephan whispered with undisguised fright. I wont hurt you. Geon took a step forwards, but Stephan held up a warning hand, and he halted. Who are you? I already told you, Geon replied. Not your name. I mean, who are you? How can you do what you just did? Stephan jabbed a finger at Geon nervously. Im gifted. Gifted? Stephans big brown eyes widened even further. Im really sorry if I caused a stir, but I dont
Page 19

have anywhere else. Its so warm and cozy in here. You need to...go, Stephan stammered. Go away, get out. Yes, youre right. Ill leave. Geon lowered his eyes sadly. Youre still naked. You cant go out like that. Stephan reached for Dannys coat. Ill be fine, Geon mumbled. Here, keep the coat. Why are you doing this? Geon quizzed Stephan. I cant just chuck you out without any clothes on. Are you scared Ill catch a cold? Geon asked in a singsong voice. You dont know what Im scared of, Stephans reply was hard and flat. Youre scared of me. Stephan took a step back, and said nothing. He crossed his arms over his chest, and looked at the wall instead.
Page 20

Sweet Pet

Merry Christmas, Stephan, Geons voice was tinged with sadness. He pulled on the coat, which really was too big for him, and raised a hand in goodbye. Stephan watched Geon walk through the front door. He closed it shortly after, the weather had started to change, and he was suddenly freezing cold.

Page 21

Sweet Pet

Chapter Four
It was going to snow. Stephan felt the change. He could always sense the arrival of snowy weather, even though it had been years since he had last seen London covered in a blanket of white. He attempted to go to the shops once more, but the jostling crowds in the High street unnerved him. He ambled away from the shoppers, and walked across the bridge, over the train line that ran through the centre of town. The events of the previous day raced across his mind, bombarding him with images of the man, who had become a bear, and then changed back. A train thundered beneath him, and he watched it snake away into the distance. A brown fluffy cat crept into Stephans field of vision. The animal stalked along the edge of the bridge, precariously balanced on short legs. Stephan stepped away, and then he looked closer at the feline.
Page 22

Sweet Pet

Youre not fooling anyone, mate, he addressed the cat with a wry smile. The cat meowed in response, and Stephan hesitantly stroked the small animal. You cant blame me for freaking out can you? Stephan spoke to the cat, as it nuzzled his hand. Look Im sorry for my reaction, Geon. Do you realize how amazing you are? He lowered his voice as he continued. Look at you youre a bloody cat, he sighed dejectedly. Youre a cat. No Im not, Geons voice sounded out behind Stephan, and he turned with surprise, still holding the cat in his hands. Geon stood with hands deep in the pockets of the oversized coat, and he smiled hesitantly at Stephan. Stephan looked at the cat in his hand, and then back up to Geon, with his mouth open. Whos your friend? Geon nodded to the cat. I thought it was you. Stephan held the cat up, and grinned. It is a she, and no, I cant change into a cat.

Page 23

Sweet Pet

Really? Stephan placed the cat down on the ground, and she scampered away. I have only two forms. Ive been able to change to look like other animals on a few occasions, but never a cat. What about people? What about them? Geon tilted his face, eyeing Stephan steadily. Can you look like other people? Can you look like me? Stephan breathed. His cautious words seemed to make an impact on the other man, as Geon held up his hands defensively. You wouldnt want that. But you can, cant you? Stephans voice was insistent. No. I have only ever looked like one other person, and shes gone now. She? You looked like a woman? My auntie, the softness with which Geon spoke, made Stephan mentally kick himself; just because he had no family to speak of, didnt mean that others were just as alone as he.
Page 24

Sweet Pet

Oh, Im sorry, he mumbled, and Geon looked up, with a new spark in his eyes. This is awkward isnt it? Geons tone was a mixture of relief and embarrassment. Just a bit. Shall we start again? My names Stephan. Pleased to meet you. Stephan held out his hand to Geon. The pleasures all mine. The two men laughed out loud and shook hands warmly. You really thought that I was a cat? Well, it had the brown fur, and it seemed very friendly, Stephan replied with a shrug. Im sure she was. Back at my apartment, you were a Stephan choked on the word, A bear, you were a bear. Im a human being, Stephan. Im a human being with a special talent. I always thought I was pretty talented, but obviously Ive been fooling myself, Stephan spoke to himself , the words a quiet mutter.
Page 25

Sweet Pet

You are very pretty, Geon spoke gently. And Im sure your talents are no less spectacular. Stephan felt the blood rush to his face at the compliment. Lets go home.

Page 26

Chapter Five
Stephan bought fish and chips on the way back to his apartment. Geon began eating his meal as they left the shop. By the time they got back to Stephans home, he had started to press the other man to share his own portion of food. Stephan batted away Geons fingers, and ate another mouthful. Are you really still hungry? Stephan relented with a sigh, and handed the remainder of his fish and chips to Geon. Sorry, but I have quite an appetite. Maybe I could have some more of the cake and booze? No way. Im not having you passed out on the sofa again, looking like a Looking like a bear? Its okay to say it. Geon lowered his voice. You dont have to be scared Stephan. I wont bite. Stephan stared at Geon as he put down his half-eaten fish and chips on the kitchen table. Geons mouth was still glossy from the food, and
Page 27

Sweet Pet

he looked invitingly delicious. Stephan crossed the distance between them. He hesitantly reached out a finger to Geons chest, and gave it a quick prod before he stepped away. Youre not a bear now. Glad you noticed, Geon said with a smirk. What do you look like usually? Geon answered him, by removing the large coat in a single shrug. Stephan looked at the garment as it lay around Geons bare feet, and then he looked up, followed the sleek lines of Geons legs, the powerful looking muscles of his thighs, the rigid cock that pointed right at him. Stephan gulped at the sight. He returned his hands to Geons cool skin, stroked up and down the other mans chest, and over the peaked points of his nipples. Geon gasped quietly, and arched up to Stephans exploring fingers with a murmur of delight. The sound seemed to echo against Stephans own frame, and he could feel himself begin to harden. This is all kinds of wrong, he murmured. This shouldnt be happening.
Page 28

Sweet Pet

Just tell me how you feel. Geon nuzzled the dark brown skin of Stephans neck, with hot breath, and he felt the other man stiffen with resistance before he finally spoke. Good, so good, Stephan whispered, surprised at the hoarseness in his throat. What does it feel like when you change I mean, do you feel the fur coming out? Does it hurt? Stephan asked with curiosity, and Geon chuckled lightly. He stroked a gentle path over Stephans backside, on the skin just above his thick leather belt. Its ticklish; makes me want to rub myself all over, Geon growled, and then ground his hips against Stephan. My bedrooms upstairs, he whispered. Stephan climbed the stairs, not daring to look over his shoulder as he moved. He didnt want to question what was real, and what was not. As the door closed behind them, Stephan stepped out of his T-shirt and jeans. The warmth that had gathered now slipped away from him, and he was left feeling exposed and totally vulnerable. Geons arms were around him in moments, squeezing, and kneading the
Page 29

Sweet Pet

long muscles of his arms and his back. Each press of flesh released a soft moan of surrender, and Geon claimed that too. He crushed his lips on Stephans own, parted the hungry mouth beneath, and sucked on the hesitant tongue inside. Stephan felt the room tip as he fell backwards onto his small bed. He exhaled in a whoosh of forced breath as Geon landed on top of him, with those amazing green eyes open, drinking in the sight of him. All too soon the comforting weight disappeared as Geon lifted himself up on his knees and elbows. He bent his head and nipped at a spot on Stephans throat, then lower to his collarbone. Tiny flickers of not-quite-pain sparked wherever Geon bit and Stephan could almost imagine the little red marks that would be left in his wake. When Geon reached his purple-tinged cock, Stephan held himself rigidly, not daring to move. But Geon did not bite; he just made a low noise in his throat that reverberated against Stephans balls. He swallowed him completely in a slow, wet gulp. When Geon withdrew, the empty dampness made Stephan want to howl with frustration. He felt his hands move to Geons
Page 30

hair, but his new lover batted his hand away, and kept out of reach. Tell me what you want, Stephan, he purred. A thousand different words battled on Stephans tongue, and he mouthed soundlessly until a single expression escaped into the air. Please, he gasped, arching off the bed. Please, Geon. He was shameless with desire; it had been longer than he wanted to admit since someone had done anything close to this with him. He looked up, and the evil smile on Geons face made him want to snarl. Geon lowered his head once more, and sucked Stephans dick in a noisy slurp. Geons tongue was longer and more agile than any that Stephan had encountered before; it seemed to wrap itself around the length of his hardness, and pull on the core of his being, until he felt himself disappear into the depths of Geons throat. Stephan jerked violently as he came with a muttered curse. Geon continued sucking on Stephans flesh, drawing out the long gushes of his orgasm with force. Geons scorching dick branded him as the talented man thrust against his groin in time to his slowing heartbeat. Stephans
Page 31

hands were shaking, but they curled around Geons hardness, pressing and stroking. Each touch burned as Geon hung his head down on Stephans shoulder. Sweat snaked over Geons face, and dropped to Stephans chest with a hiss. Geon was burning up, igniting the dark man beneath him as he blazed like an inferno. Geon tensed, gripped Stephan tightly, and detonated explosively against him, with each thick ribbon of come, a fiery jet of delight.

Page 32

Chapter Six
Stephan and Geon slept spooned together, and it was only the cool wet feeling against his ear that made Stephan awaken with a frown. Geon had changed again, and a furry brown paw clasped him around his chest, with what felt like a thick tongue lying against his ears. Stephan lifted the paw carefully away, aware of the heavy soft feel of the limb. The movement made Geon awaken, and his green eyes blinked open. Any regrets, Stephan? No way. Stephan reached behind to Geons now smooth neck, and felt a little metal disc that lay around his throat. Whats that? My tag just in case I get lost, you can return me to my owners. Thats funny, Stephan chuckled despite the bitterness in Geons voice. He turned around quickly to face the man. Youre not joking are you? Geon looked away at his words. Take it off, get rid of it.
Page 33

Sweet Pet

Auntie said I was supposed to wear it. Was she like you? Stephan tried to picture a whole family of bears living together, secretly disguised as humans. She was a kind lady, Geon said wistfully. And she tagged you like a pet? Thats what I was. Thats ridiculous she knew what you could do, and she treated you like an animal? Anger threatened to well up within Stephan, and he bit back some more caustic comments. Auntie always treated all of her animals well, but none of the others could do what I do. Then why did she give you a tag? She didnt want to do it at first, but Robert said it was for the best. He didnt want me to go away, he murmured. Whos Robert? My cousin, Geon reluctantly whispered. Can he do what you can? Robert is nothing like me. He was always shouting at me and after Auntie got sick,
Page 34

Sweet Pet

he started taking over. It wasnt a nice place anymore. I couldnt stay there. Is that why you were outside scavenging for food? Ive always had a big appetite. Was it just you and your Auntie before? Stephan asked a little sadly. We had a butler, Mr. Atkins, he was nice too, but when Robert came, he never let him near Auntie. He kept us all separated. Even when she was dying, I couldnt see her. Stephan turned the little silver disc over. I think Robert may want you back mate. This isnt an ordinary tag; looks like some kind of a device, he said slowly, and squinted at the disc. Could be a tracking piece, but the circuitry is too fancy for that. Theres more than one thing going on Geon scrambled off the bed before Stephan finished speaking, and for a few seconds, his fur reappeared. He looked around quickly, breathing heavily. Ive put you in danger, he looked wildly
Page 35

Sweet Pet

about, with panic. But the panic seemed to pass, and after a deep slow breath, he regained his composure, and reverted back to a human form. Geon tugged at the disc, but it refused to come off. Here, let me try. Stephan examined the tag, and once again noted the deceptively complicated circuitry visible at the back. Ive got some tools downstairs. I think one of them can get this off without hurting you. Thank you, Geon whispered. If hes injured you, you could always go to the police, Stephan said earnestly. And once they found out about me, do you think theyd let me go? Geon sat back down on the bed. Theyd chop me up, see what made me different. Id never let that happen. Stephan dropped a gentle kiss to Geons forehead. You wouldnt? Surprise made Geon lean back, and he gave Stephan an assessing look. What can I say, its not everyday I find a gorgeous naked man in the alley. Last one I
Page 36

found, I had to throw him back he was too puny. Thank you. Geon smiled shyly. Can we eat now? Im very hungry. Okay, but lets get washed up first.

Page 37

Chapter Seven
Stephan dragged himself to the bathroom, and started the shower. He pushed himself beneath the hot spray, and sagged boneless against the tiled walls. Geon appeared outside and ran a hand over the fogged glass. Want to join me? Stephan asked as the hot water pounded his flesh. It was still no match for Geons heat. I can wash myself, Geon replied, and with that, he raised his arm, and licked a slow wet line across his skin. Stephan stared in wonder as Geon cleaned himself. It was as sensual as a dance, and certainly interesting to see how he could contort himself in order to reach several inaccessible spots. He was definitely a gifted man. Stephans hands wandered down to his cock, and he stroked the still sensitive skin there, fingering his balls, whilst Geon lapped over his flesh. Where do you come from? Stephan whispered with awe making his voice barely

audible. Geon continued to clean himself, and carried on as if he hadnt heard, but then he slowed his licking. Auntie said she found me in a crate at Southampton docks. She went there to collect her shipment of specimens from Iceland, but they had gone astray. She had found me instead; a baby in a box that she raised as her own. She collected rare breeds of birds, and a few other creatures, but I was her special pet he faltered for a moment. I was her sweet pet, he purred, and the smile of remembered affection lit up his face like the sun. Stephan listened in wonderment as Geon recounted his origins. He grunted as he felt himself grow impossibly hard once more, felt his face flush from the voyeuristic nature. Geon bent over and licked the length of his own cock, raising his eyes to meet Stephan as he did so. Stephan imagined his own mouth sucking on Geon as he thrust into him relentlessly. Stephan gripped himself, jerking; he came splattering over the tiles with a strangled cry. Geon looked up suddenly at something

unseen, and a moment later, the front door slammed shut with a bang. Stephan, you up there mate? A voice from below called up to the men. Stephan exhaled in relief when he realized that it was his flat mate Danny the flat mate who was supposed to be in Wales with his very large family. Stay here. Stephan wrapped a towel around his waist and padded out of the room.

Chapter Eight
Danny slung his heavy backpack down on his bed, and stretched noisily. With only two days to Christmas, the travel situation from Cardiff to London had been terrible. He had been really happy to see his parents, aunts and uncles, but he had been distracted too. His uncle, Roy had taken him aside and spoken to him. Whoever you left in London, go back to them Danny, thats where your heart is. He had taken his uncles advice, and left on the next train out. Now, back home, Danny nervously looked about his room. Everything had changed; the room and the apartment were the same, but somehow, with the admission he had made to himself, everything was now brand new. Stephan open Dannys bedroom door a fraction, and then slipped in. Dannys gaze took in the bruised lips, the slow drips of water that snaked over Stephans belly, and then his gaze was drawn lower to where the big white towel

circled his friends dark hips. Danny licked his lips and forced himself to look back to Stephans face. Stephan, you Dannys mouth refused to move further. I thought you wouldnt be back for another week. Are you okay? Stephan drew his fingers through his damp hair. Danny nodded and backed away to the bed; just the sight of his flat mate looking the way he did was too much for the flustered Welshman. I left something behind, he croaked, and wondered where all the air in the room had suddenly gone. And you came all this way to find it? Stephans face was a mixture of concern and amusement something that Danny loved about him. Things never seemed to throw Stephan for a loop; he was the calmest person he knew. Danny took a breath, and tried to copy the example before him. Its important, Dannys voice still didnt sound right.
Page 42

Sweet Pet

Give me a second, and Ill help you look. Stephan hitched up the towel, and drew it tighter around him, but he held himself still as Dannys hand traced a rivulet of water over the skin on Stephans shoulder. Dont bother. Ive found it now, Danny breathed. The kiss was gentle but insistent, and Danny smiled to himself as he felt Stephan respond. All this time and he hadnt dared to think that his flat-mate would ever be into someone like him. Danny deepened the kiss, pressing firmly against his friend, and he tasted the faint trace of alcohol and spices that was welcomingly warm against his tongue. Stephan tasted of Christmas, of cinnamon, cherries and rum, sweet, bitter and heady all in one go. He pushed the towel away from Stephans hips, and it pooled on the floor in a damp heap. A soft knock on the door made Stephan jerk away. Danny missed the wet heat immediately. What was that? he asked softly, and then he registered the anxious look on Stephans face. Danny I need to tell you something. I met
Page 43

someone his voice trailed off, and Danny stepped back, and crossed his arms defensively. You couldnt have told me before? I feel a bit foolish now, his lilting Welsh accent was tinged with embarrassment. Im sorry, mate. Geon walked in slowly, and stood just inside the doorway. Danny glanced in his direction, and then found something interesting to look at on the floor. This new man was the complete opposite of him, he was slim, with long glossy hair and sparkling green eyes. No wonder that Stephan had pounced on the stranger. Ill make a start on dinner shall I? Danny scampered downstairs to the kitchen. *** Once in the kitchen, Danny flicked on the radio. Soon the apartment was full of cheerful Christmas music, but it was a sore match for his mood. Where the hell has all the food gone?
Page 44

Danny lifted his head out of the refrigerator, and scowled with annoyance. Sorry, Ill pop down the shops. Stephan, who had dressed himself, pulled on his jacket and picked his wallet. Geon grabbed his coat, but Danny stopped him when he saw it. Why are you wearing my coat? he asked with a threatening tone. I was naked, Geon replied, and shrugged his shoulders. Danny stepped back with surprise, and looked from one man to the other. You want to tell me exactly whats going on? Its a long story, Stephan sighed Well, it seems that Ive got lots of time to hear it. Danny leant back against the kitchen sink, and looked at the two men. Im going to order a curry Im famished. Danny flicked open his mobile and punched the speed-dial. Can I have some too? I love spicy food. Geon was oblivious to the look of disapproval that Danny gave him, but he changed the order,

and clicked the phone shut with an annoyed snap. Stephan glanced from one man to the other, and started his tale. When he was done, Danny had slumped onto a chair, laughing. He wiped his eyes, and looked up at his friend. So youre trying to tell me, he snorted, That this skinny runt is really some kind of werewolf ? Im not a werewolf, Geon cut in quickly. I just change my appearance, thats all. And Im not skinny. And when you met him he was naked? Thats right, Stephan nodded with a smile. Stephan, I dont know whats going on but this is the stupidest thing Ive ever heard. If you can change your appearance, then do it now. The doorbell chimed, and Danny stood, still chuckling to himself. Great, the foods here. Least I can eat whilst being entertained. He moved out of the room. When Danny returned, he walked stiffly, and he shot Geon a look that made the other man

step back. Robert slid into the room behind, and shoved Danny roughly inside. He surveyed the room absently, and then his gaze settled on Geon, and a wide knowing smirk broke out on his face. So this is where youve got to, Pet. I was worried about you. He turned to the other men in the room, addressing them. I do hope he hasnt been any trouble to you, Robert spoke politely as he addressed Danny and Stephan. It was only the small stun gun that he held in his grip that betrayed that he was not there for a friendly chat. I bet hes eaten you out of house and home already. Ill give you something to cover it shall I? Robert reached into his inside pocket, and pulled out his checkbook. Im staying here, Robert, Geon whispered hesitantly, and Robert smiled indulgently, ignoring him. I dont have the time for this, Pet. You will come with me right now. He made a beckoning motion with the stun gun, and Geon took a step backwards to Stephan. Auntie said ...
Page 47

My aunt Dorothy is dead. All of her possessions belong to me now, including you. He fixed Geon with a steady stare. Leave these good people, and come back with me before I lose my temper. Leave him alone. Stephan pulled Geon to him, and stepped in front of his lover. Get out before I call the police. Stephan was aware of Geon tensing behind him, at the mention of the police. Hes dangerous. You dont know what this shifter is capable of. Robert paused for a moment before continuing. I suppose you dont know what I can do either. He darted forward and impacted with Stephan. A sharp crackle and spark of the stun gun left Stephan convulsing painfully on the floor. Danny rushed forward, but Robert held up the weapon once more, and he halted. What have you done to him? Danny hissed, but Robert gave a dismissive snort. Hell be fine, he replied and turned to Geon. The shifter whimpered and knelt by Stephan, with shaking hands.
Page 48

A growl began a warning murmur that turned into a roar. He hunched over Stephan, and lifted his head, with a howl. Danny stepped away at the noise, and then scooted back further, as he watched Geon transform. The alteration from human to animal made him forget to breathe, and his mind boggled at the sight of the change. Short tufts of dark fur erupted all over, and the coat on Geons back ripped from the alteration of the body beneath. Finally Geon stood, and strode towards Robert, arms raised, claws bared, but as he neared the shorter man, Robert held up another small device. A sharp piercing sound made everyone cover their ears. Geon was affected more than the others, and he tumbled backwards, noisily crashing against the table. The animal aspects all disappeared, and Geon was left groaning from the impact. Robert held the stun gun against Geons neck, and dragged him out of the room. Danny stared at them as they left. His panicked gasps drowned out the sound of Christmas carols that played sweetly on the radio.

Chapter Nine
Stephan opened his eyes to the feel of cold water on his face. He knocked Dannys hand away gently, and struggled to stand. His whole body ached, and his teeth felt on edge. Wheres Geon? he asked, but Danny looked at him, and shook his head. I saw him, saw what he turned into. Thats not natural mate. Danny was bobbing on his toes with nervous fright. Hes in trouble. Stephan rubbed the bridge of his nose, and shook his head as if trying to dislodge the effects of the stun gun. And so will we be, if we go after those crazy guys, Danny hissed. I cant just stand here and let god knows what happen to him. Stephan, hes an animal. I mean he was huge, with claws and teeth and...Ive never seen anything like it. Dannys eyes took on a haunted glaze.
Page 50

I dont care. Geon wouldnt hurt a fly; he said he hated violence. Stephan dusted himself down and reached for his jacket. No, I wont let you. You cant stop me. Stephan launched himself forward, but Danny caught his arm, and jerked him backwards messily until they ended up in a heap on the floor, wrestling with each other. As nice as this is, I would rather knock you out, than let you go after those two, Danny grunted out the words, as he pinned Stephans arm behind his back. I care about you, Stephan. It doesnt matter that...that you dont give a toss about me, I just want you safe. He stroked a finger down Stephans cheek, and released his grip on his friends arms. I care about you too, Danny, I always have, he said warmly. But if you want to keep me safe, come with me, because I am going to find Geon. Stephan set his face to a determined stare, and Danny shuffled away. How do you know where hell be? His tag, it had an address on it. Its not too
Page 51

far from here. I think its a big property on the edge of Epping Forest. Maybe hes best off there, Danny ventured slowly. You heard the way Robert talked to him. He said Geon belonged to him, like he was some kind of possession. Stephan felt anger spark within him at the thought of Geon at Roberts mercy. Im not letting you go on your own, Danny explained, as he pulled on a thick jumper. Come on, lets do this. Stephan smiled at his friend, and hoped that they were doing the right thing.

Chapter Ten
The night was bitterly cold; made more intense because of the mild weather that had preceded it. It took the two men several hours to locate the address that Stephan had seen on Geons tag. Now, they crouched lower on the lawn, and peeked over the top of the bush they hid behind. In the grand house ahead, a Christmas party was in full swing. Fairy lights twinkled in a colorful blaze, and a tall pine tree was festooned with garlands of tinsel. People arrived in chaufferdriven cars, and the sound of merriment carried on the freezing air. The men circled the house from the outside, looking through windows as they quietly moved. In one large room, a sea of blue balloons decorated the ceiling, and copious amounts of food and drink were laid out. As they reached the corner of the house, another room could be seen; candlelight gave the room an eerie glow, and it looked out of place among the festive feel of the rest of the house. The tiny flickers of light inside caught

Stephans eye, and he cautiously peered at the window. Geon darted up, slamming his hands loudly against the glass. His face was tinged with color a purple bruise covered his right eye and cheek. The change in appearance, coupled with a look of terror, made Geon seem more animallike than ever before. Stephan fell back with shock, and Danny caught him, before he hit the ground. It took Geon a moment to realize that the men on the other side of the glass were his friends, and he exhaled visibly. What are you doing? Robert will kill you both if he sees, Geon hissed, though the thick glass muffled his voice. Let us in, Geon, Stephan grunted, and tugged ineffectively at the window, but the shifter backed away. Go away! Only if you come with us. Stand back, well have to smash the glass. Stephan and Danny both picked up small stones from beneath the window, and took aim. Geon frantically waved his hands at the men to stop. Youll set off the alarms; every copper in
Page 54

London will be here in moments. Geon sighed, and looked over his shoulder for a moment, and then pressed his hand to the glass, speaking softly. Just go. I dont want to see you get hurteither of you. The window opens from inside doesnt it? Stephan asked, ignoring Geons last remark I cant, Stephan. The next one is coming. I can hear him down the hall. Whos coming? The next friend of Roberts. I dont want you to see what happens. Ive heard enough, Danny said through gritted teeth. Stephan, were getting your boy out of there. No, he said he wouldnt hurt me any more if I did this for a few of his friends, Geon pleaded. Hes pimping you out Geon, cant you see? Stephan looked ready to smash the glass with his bare hands. Im not stupid. I know whats going on, but it beats the alternative where we all end up dead. He crossed his arms and glowered at the men.
Page 55

There are three of us, Danny spoke up, his breath puffing out visibly in the cold air. Three of us, one of him; Robert doesnt stand a chance. He looked at Geon slowly, and then smiled. Come on mate, Stephan isnt going to leave without you, and Im bloody freezing out here. The door to the room suddenly opened, and a man stood in the box of light. He took one look at the scene, and ran back out. Geon hesitated for a moment before wrenching the window open with difficulty. We havent got long. We cant go back to your place; Robert knows where you live, but maybe Atkins, aunties old butler might let me in. Danny smiled, and both men stretched out a hand to Geon. Stephan hugged his lover, and then held up a small pair of pliers. He carefully removed the silver tag from Geons neck, and then placed the device on the ground. The little disc lay on the lawn, beeping softly as the men ran into the dark.

Chapter Eleven
The front door to Mr. Atkins apartment opened a millimeter. A pale middle-aged man peeked out. When he spotted Geon, the door flew open, and the three men were propelled inside. Pet? Sweet Pet is that you? The older man held Geons face in his hands, before he pulled him into a friendly embrace. I thought you were dead; thought Robert had finished you off, he sniffled. Atkins turned away for a moment to compose himself. Its so good to see you. Have you eaten? Ive got some of your favorite in the kitchen. Geon spared the other men an uncomfortable glance, and followed the retired butler to the back of his modest apartment. Mr. Atkins, may I introduce my friends, Stephan and Danny. They helped me to get away from Robert, his voice faltered on the name. Atkins pulled a big box of cereal down from the cupboard, and placed it on the table. He
Page 57

reached over to ruffle Geons hair, and then smiled at the men. I cannot thank you enough. Please wont you stay? I can cook something for you. Geon of course can enjoy his favorite breakfast cereal, but Ive got other suitable fare in the fridge. Atkins grinned as Geon opened the packet of cereal and started eating straight from the box. Danny smiled nervously at Stephan, before whispering to him. Are we in some kind of alternate universe? Because this is the strangest family Christmas Ive ever seen. Stephan ignored the comment, and turned to Atkins. Geon says you used to be his Aunties butler. We really need your help with dealing with Robert. We need to stop him exploiting Geon. That parasite tracked him down before, and Im sure it wont be long until he turns up here. We have to be ready when he comes. Geon swallowed a handful of brightly colored cereal, and grasped onto Stephans hand. Atkins sat down, whilst observing the exchange with a wry smile.

Robert was always of a questionable character; not like Lady Dorothy at all. Now hes trying to gain respectability at any cost, he said sadly. I hear he plans to become active in politics. I fear that will be just another way to misuse his power. He looked with shining eyes at Geon for a moment before continuing. When Robert found out what Pet could do, everything simply fell apart. My ladys health had deteriorated so much, but when I learnt that he was the only family member able to attend to her affairs...I tried to hide Pet, but he was always a curious thing, werent you? he smiled sadly at Geon as he spoke. Robert was using Pet...Geon to entertain his guests. Stephan volunteered the information reluctantly, and watched as the implication of his words sunk in. Pet, Im so sorry. Atkins wiped his eyes with sadness that made his face sag. Will you stop calling him Pet, Stephan snapped. Hes not an animal. Hes got a bloody name. I do apologise, Geon, Atkins sighed. Force

of habit Im afraid, and you know what they say about old dog and new tricks. If only we had something to hold over Robert, Danny spoke to himself. If people knew what a monster that guy is, he wouldnt be able to touch us, Dannys voice slowed as he spoke, and he peered over to Geon. If you can look like anyone you want, why not change into someone more important than Robert, and threaten him? I cant change into just anyone, Geon whispered. You changed before. You can do it again. I am not a circus act. I only look like this or some kind of crazy bear, Geons voice raised in volume as he spoke. I dont think youre being truthful Geon, Atkins interrupted. You copied three of the other animals we kept when you were younger. And I saw you mimic Lady Dorothy on her Sixtieth birthday. She was quite moved by your performance if I remember correctly; she cried for hours. No, I dont want to do that again. Aunties

dead. Im not going to look like a dead person. Dont make me, Geon sobbed. Im sorry, Atkins said gently. I would never force you. The older man put his arms around Geon and kissed his hair. He made shushing noises, until the shifter began to quiet. I almost copied Robert, Geon whispered, and looked up hesitantly. A few days ago, I started to change. I had to make it stop; I didnt want to be like him. How can that be? Atkins looked at him with wide eyes. I dont know. I was upset, and the change just started. Can you do it again? he asked carefully. No, it was horrible. I felt his rage. It wasnt my feelings. I hate violence. When I changed to look like auntie, I never felt what she was feeling. Geon looked at the faces of the men around him. Im scared. If you could look like that parasite again, we could do something. Danny turned to Stephan for support. We could take some compromising
Page 61

photos, and wed have him. At Stephans silence, he continued. Its the best bet we have to keep Robert away from us, Dannys voice was resigned. Cant we just give it a try? Cant you see how upset he is? Atkins said harshly. He stood and stepped away, but Stephan held out a hand and stopped the butler from walking out of the room. What do you think Robert will do to Geon once hes had his fun? Hes got no other protection, and if he suddenly disappeared, who would even know? He needs to do this one thing in order for him to be free forever. Stephan gripped the man for a moment, a silent plea for Atkins to reconsider. Youre right, its just that for Geon to transform into anything but his natural form, well it takes a lot out of him. When he copied a few of the other animals as a child, he passed out from the exertion. When he was twelve, he tried to change to look like one of the Shetland ponies we had. Geon almost died from the effort, and Lady Dorothy was enraged that he had even tried. Even with another human being, it would make a great strain on his heart. Youve seen
Page 62

how much he eats he needs the extra energy to sustain his altered state. Atkins petted Geon once more, who had started on his second box of crunchy colored cereal. If it will keep Robert away from me, then I can do it. Geon addressed the butler soberly, but then reached into the box, and smiled with sudden delight, as he pulled out the toy surprise. Well then, if youre certain, then may I suggest something ? Atkins paused and looked at the men slyly. My Lady and I had an understanding; she was the dearest friend I could have asked for. She never showed disapproval for my...special activities. But she was aware that I sometimes enjoyed a little ... Atkins looked nervously around him for a moment. Atkins liked to be spanked, Geon stated, twirling the little toy in his hand, and then he looked up at the astonished faces before continuing. Well he said before; I was a very curious creature. I found out years ago, and it was nice to see him have some fun. Ive got a few bits you could use as props, Atkins mumbled the words with thinly disguised embarrassment.
Page 63

Spanking? Stephans eyes grew wide. You dirty old man! Danny laughed out loud. Get your goodies down here, and lets get snapping. He slapped Geon on the back. This is going to be good.

Chapter Twelve
Geon sat on a chair in the middle of the living room. Stephan knelt beside him, and held him around the waist. If things get rough, remind me who I am. Say my name, and it should bring me back, Geon whispered, and Stephan nodded. Geon closed his eyes, and breathed out slowly. He pictured Robert in his mind; saw blond hair, and a stern expression. He pictured him raising his hand, just before he struck down, and Geon flinched where he sat. Roberts fingers were covered with faint hairs, slightly darker than his skin. His fingernails were short and trimmed carefully, with a thin crescent of white that showed above his fingertips. With eyes still closed, Geon deepened his trance. The image of Robert was unmoving before him, and he looked even closer at the man. He felt a rush of intense feeling, and shied away from it. He felt Roberts emotions, as if they were his own. He felt shame, rage, and frustration. Robert hated Geon. He
Page 65

Sweet Pet

was afraid of him too. Geon grew confused at this feeling. Why would Robert be so afraid? Geon, wake up, Stephans voice cut through the emotional fog that surrounded him, and he jerked back to attentiveness. When Geon opened his eyes, they were pale blue. The three other men stared openly at the shifter. Im ready, his voice was steady and low; different from his usual tone. Geon bent over a table and turned so that he was still facing the camera. Danny closed his mouth with an audible snap, and took a photograph. Im never going to get used to that, he muttered. Stephan, I think we have to turn the heat up. Stephan smoothed the leather mask in his hands, and hesitantly placed it over his head. He picked up an evil looking flogger, and glared at Atkins. I hope this stuff is clean. He took an experimental swat at Geons bare backside, and the shifter grunted.
Page 66

Sweet Pet

That one was priceless; you look like the dark destroyer Stephan, Danny snickered, adjusting the camera. Who knew blackmail was so much fun? Do you mind, this is serious, Stephan complained, and posed, holding the flogger close to Geons altered face. Geon flinched and jerked away. I cant do this with you, Stephan, not after youve been so good to me. Geon held his arms crossed over his bare chest. Lets swap places then, Danny said, and stepped forward. He handed the camera to Stephan, who gratefully took it. Danny stripped off his jumper and flexed his arms. He was aware that all eyes in the room had turned to him. His chest was full and broad, covered with fine wispy brown hair, and his strong belly looked made for stroking. He basked unashamedly for a moment, and then slowly crooked a finger to Geon. Wordlessly, the shifter knelt at his knees, and pressed his face to Dannys thighs. Stephan slipped the mask from his face, took a photograph, and tried to remember how to
Page 67

breathe. Danny and Geon looked amazing together a natural pairing. Theres a good boy, Danny crooned, fisting his hands in Geons blonde hair. So pretty, his voice cracked a little. Unfasten me, he whispered, and three mouths dropped at the obviously practiced command. After a moments hesitation, Geons fingers expertly unzipped Dannys jeans and lowered the denim down until it bunched around his knees. Another three photos were taken, and the sound of the flash was deafening in the tense atmosphere of the room. Geon lowered the dark boxer shorts that Danny wore his thick cock jutted straight at the shifter, and he raised his hands to grasp hold of the hard length. He was caught short, when Danny grabbed his hair once more. Greedy, his voice had lowered, and his lips curled into a self-satisfied smirk. Is your appetite for this as big as your appetite for food? he teased, but Geon nodded his head as much as Dannys grip would allow. Stephan had completely forgotten the photographs, could barely believe what he was witnessing. He flushed with the knowledge
Page 68

that he was incredibly hard from watching this scene, and then he gasped when he realized that he wanted to join them. Stephan looked over to Atkins; the older man stood frozen, with a serving tray held flat against his crotch, hiding the erection that he no doubt had himself. The atmosphere in the room was saturated with sex. Are you sure you want to do this? Stephans voice wavered. Do you need us to remind you who you are? My name is Geon. I am twenty years old. I live in London. My favorite color is red. Geon hovered a bare inch from Dannys aching dick, seemingly mesmerized by the sight, even as he spoke. Geon glanced at Stephan, and pressed his lips to Danny. Everyone groaned out loud Stephan, Danny and Atkins all sounded out their desire in one moment, and the echoes drew the men closer around Geon to watch. Danny shut his eyes, and arched his neck as he was devoured by Geon. His halting breath became more erratic as Stephan stepped even closer, and held his friend from behind, wrapping his dark brown arms around Dannys pale furry flesh. He angled the camera down, and snapped
Page 69

an image of Dannys thick cock half-in, half-out of what appeared to be Roberts slick mouth. He knew that Geon was beneath the disguise, knew that his talented tongue would be squeezing every last drop of come that Danny had, and even then he would just keep on going. The camera was handed to Atkins, who took it with shaking hands, as Danny and Stephan turned to each other. The men kissed frantically, and then Stephan swallowed Dannys climaxing cries, as he came with a thunderous roar.

Chapter Thirteen
The men stood around Atkins dilapidated color printer, as they waited for the first set of prints to emerge. Stephan glanced over at his friend, and shook his head in wonder. How long have we lived together Danny, and I never knew anything about you? he quizzed. We could have been having a lot of fun if Id known. This is just the tip of the iceberg mate. You should see some of the stuff Ive got under my mattress, he said with a conspiratorial tone. All I can say is thank god for digital cameras; no one but we will see the results of this debauchery. Atkins picked up the first photograph, and fanned himself melodramatically, but as he did so, a series of deafening bangs sounded out. Atkins opened the front door, and Robert pushed his way into the hallway. The three men stood concealed behind the door to the lounge, listening.
Page 71

Sweet Pet

I think you know why Im here, Roberts voice was a bare growl in the hallway. Geon does not wish to go with you, Atkins spoke with an authoritative voice. That troublesome dog is my responsibility, Robert spat. Ive come to take him home. Your reputation is a bigger responsibility, and one that is likely to be in ruins if any of your political allies see this. Atkins held up a still tacky printout of the sex scene. Robert grabbed the photograph from him, and spluttered audibly. What is this? he spat and jabbed at the image. No one will believe this fiction, he snarled with growing anger. Can you take that chance? What will your future voters think of you on your knees, servicing this fine young man, whilst your old butler looks on? Atkins enjoyed another glimpse of the photograph and smiled; the three men certainly looked magnificent together. What do you want? Robert ground out the words.
Page 72

Sweet Pet

Leave Geon alone. You have your inheritance, and your name...for now. Dont be greedy, sir. You dare lecture me on being greedy? Do you know how much I sacrificed for Aunt Dorothy? You kept her loved ones away, Atkins voice cracked a little. I never even got a chance to say goodbye. She indulged you far too much; you were a domestic, nothing more, and as for that little freak, he belongs with me. Send him out, I know hes here. This photograph will be sent to the papers. Dont be a fool, Atkins. If you carry on with this, Ill tell everyone about Geon. Ill sit in luxury knowing that hes being sliced up and examined like a specimen. Robert met Atkins shocked gaze, and smiled knowingly. Atkins turned at the creaking sound as the door to the lounge opened. Geon stood in the entrance, with Stephan and Danny on either side.

Page 73

Sweet Pet

Im never going back to you, Geon stated, and squeezed Stephans hand once. Well see about that, Robert sneered, and held out his sonic device. A high-pitched sound rang out. Geon stumbled, but righted himself, and took a step forwards. This is impossible, Robert gasped. His eyes widened as he registered Geons defiance. He increased the power, and this time the noise was a screeching whine. The mirror that hung on the hallway wall began to rattle with the frequency, and it reflected the changing form of Geon as he took step after painful step onwards. Robert shook his head in denial, and then crouched in fear as Geon towered over him. The shifter knocked the device from Roberts hand, and it clattered to the floor, silent at last. Dont hurt me, Robert pleaded, with desperation making his voice weak. Geon stood shakily over him, shuddering with pain, puffing out his breaths with effort. Ive found something more powerful than
Page 74

your device, he rasped, and pointed back to the three men. You cant touch me any more. When he turned back to Robert, he was shuffling backwards on the floor. Stay away from me, Pet. You...you just...stay away, he stammered. Robert tugged the front door open. He stood roughly, and tumbled outside into the cold London night. After a glance behind him, he ran into the darkness. Geon collapsed once he lost sight of the man. Stephan and Danny were at his side in moments. Are you alright? Stephan hesitantly stroked a calming hand over Geons face. Im fantastic, he breathed out, with a grin.

Chapter Fourteen
Atkins shut the front door gently. When he returned to the lounge, the two friends were helping Geon to the sofa, but he waved off their efforts, and sat on the floor instead, his form altering to human once more. Geon tell me, how did you ? Atkins pointed to the hallway. How did you manage that? The noise wasnt as loud as usual. Maybe he ran out of batteries, Danny said with laughter in his voice. Or maybe something else changed, Stephan spoke softly, and fingered his neck. My tag, Geon whispered, and mimicked the movement, touching his throat. My tag amplified the sound? he asked, and Stephan shrugged. Thats why he told me to always wear it. So what you said about us Stephan turned away as he spoke.

I meant it, Geon stated with determination. I meant every word. Well, I doubt well have any further trouble, Atkins cut in. He sat in an armchair close to his little Christmas tree. He poured himself a cup of tea; his trembling hands that made the cup clatter on the saucer, was the only thing that betrayed his mood. Does it take a lot of effort to look the way you do now? Stephan asked Geon carefully, and noted how his lover hesitated before answering with a swift nod. Then why not just go natural? You can be yourself with us; your real self, I mean. Geon looked up with shimmering eyes, and quickly stood. Thank you, he sighed. He glanced out of the window; snow fell softly outside and stuck to the glass in big white flakes. Geon shivered slightly and then the shiver became a jerk. A shower of soft white fur layered itself all over his body, and he howled with pleasure as he reverted to his winter form, a little like a fluffy Polar bear. Stephan and Danny looked on in wonder, and they shared a smile between them.

Id like to propose a toast to Dorothy, god rest her soul. Atkins lifted the flask to the men, offering a little spirit to them. Geon sniffed at the flask, and Atkins held it out of his reach. None for you Pet, you know how alcohol affects you, he said in a playful voice. I thought he had never drunk booze before? Stephan laughed. Oh, one Christmas he got into the cooking sherry. We had what looked like a drunken reindeer in the kitchen for several hours before he finally passed out. Dont believe everything this one tells you hes a naughty boy. Atkins passed the flask to Danny, who took a big gulp. Stephan held his arms open, and Geon slumped on top of him; a muffled grunt of expelled air sounded out, as Stephan adjusted himself beneath the shifter. Merry Christmas to you all, Geon growled, and snuggled in closer, his eyes drooping with sleep. And a happy new year to you too.

Lakesinger Rockmanson is a very talented watermage and the biggest brat of his clan. But an out of season storm keeps the pair stuck in Darkskys cave with unexpected results.

Here is a short excerpt from Swordbrothers 1: Outlaw and the Brat by Auburnimp and Michael Barnette He blinked as he recalled the firm flesh of Lakesingers butt. A fine, very fuckable butt. One he had no intention of keeping, despite the lure of the mans youthful beauty. A very find ass indeed. Hell bring a good price on the open market in the City. A better price than Id get from any clan. Grinning, he headed for the pool. If he was going to sell him, he should get a good look at what was under those leathers and furs besides a perfect butt. Youll be able to drive a harder bargain that way, he told himself. Clan or City, beauty is worth more than an ugly darbear of a man like me. When he reached the cave he found Lakesinger sitting in the bathing pool which was giving off steam. The boy blushed when he saw him and ducked his head.

I hope you dont mind me heating the water, but I really hate cold baths. They never get you really clean the way hot water does. He stared at the slender body, the lean lines of the young mage from the sweep of his shoulders to the expanse of his nicely defined chest down to the rippling abs. His eyes swept along the sleek thighs, but soon lifted, coming to rest on the smooth shape of the cock nestled in the spun sunlight of his pubic hair. He swallowed, forced himself to stop staring, to focus on the bright blush coloring Lakesingers cheeks. But it was no good. His blood hammered in his veins, pulsed in the hardening flesh between his thighs. Thought deserted him and he crossed the room, mind focused on one thing and one thing only: the beauty of that sleek body. Dark virtually pounced on Lakesinger as he dropped to his knees by the pool and captured the perfect slim body in his arms. Dark set his mouth to the younger mages in a demanding kiss. The boy went completely still beneath him for a moment or two then, to his surprise, wet arms snaked round his neck and the kiss was returned

with an equal amount of demand and even more passion. Part of him commanded that he stop, but the louder part wanted to pick the young mage up, carry him to bed and show him why being a swordbrother was a desirable state of being. Instead he shoved the watermage into the bath hed made for himself and stood there gazing at him, taking in the young masculine body and the upthrust cock that proved what hed done hadnt gone unnoticed by Lakesinger. He wanted, needed. Instead of taking Dark turned away. Thats something else for you to think on, boy, he growled and stalked for the exit. There was a soft groan behind him and a murmured, Oh gods. Darksky smirked, but the satisfied expression quickly faded. Hed kissed the brat. What had he been thinking? He had no intention of keeping the boy, none. And yet... the feel of the watermages lips on his lingered, as did the throbbing ache of his arousal.

Book Excerpts

Here is a short excerpt from Plague Dance by Michael Barnette A torrent poured forth from the darkened sky, the pounding drops intermingled with the chattering sounds of hail against the windows. Bursts of lightning shattered the night, bright as explosions in an embattled city. Deshawn Roberts stared out at the fury of nature, wondering who else might be out there witnessing the storm. Wondering if he might be the only one left after the outbreak of Ebola tore through the country leaving millions dead. Millions that included almost everyone else on the base where hed been stationed. Other than himself he didnt know who else might have survived the pandemic that had swept the US the entire world and left more people dead than living. The barracks where hed lived with the rest of his platoon was empty, the rest of the men hed liked, and those hed tolerated were dead. Their mortal remains lay in the mass grave hed managed

to dig with a backhoe from a construction site, a subdivision that would never be finished. There was no one left to do the work, and no one alive to buy the half finished houses anyway. Of the hundreds of people whod lived at the base, he was the only one left. Him alone with the echoing silence. Hed never understood that term, echoing silence until he experienced the utter quiet of a place so devoid of life that seeing a bird made his heart fill with joy. He braced his forearms against the window sill, stared out at the raging storm. Lonely. He craved the sound of a human voice. The camaraderie of other soldiers, of men he knew, missed, wished he could talk to one last time. Share a beer and off color jokes, stare at the TV and hear laughter and angry words exchanged. To hear any voice break the plague of silence that ate at him day after day the way the plague of the body had eaten away at the people he knew until all that remained was the dust of the grave.

Book Excerpts

Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust. The words mocked him. Taunted him with the promise of a release from loneliness he was unable to take. A few others had survived, a couple men from a different platoon, one of the officers from his own command group. But theyd gone to find their families and no one had tried to prevent it. Not after captain Ferrel had killed himself in the bedroom of his home, surrounded by his Ebola murdered family. There wasnt much point in saying anything to them about duty or remaining to guard the base. Not after the government collapsed. Thats what the media had begun to call it in the last few struggling days of the United States. The Collapse. The end of civilization as everyone knew it. Even then the reports of warlords rising to power were coming in. Men women too carving out a niche in the plague shattered land. He wondered if any of the men hed known reached their homes. Wondered if theyd found anyone alive if they had. Deshawn sighed, gaze riveted on the wild night, the storm torn riot beyond the glass and came to a decision.

Book Excerpts

At first light he would load up a Humvee with supplies and head out. There wasnt any reason to remain at the base, no one left to care what he did or whether he remained loyal to his oath as a soldier. With no government he had no one left to be loyal to, so his oath meant less than the rain hammering the base. Sooner or later other survivors would show up. Survivors he might not want to meet. People like the warlord types the last few newscasts hed seen reported about. Hed heard a few radio broadcasts after that, the station running on a generator for a few days. The last discjockey left for hundreds of miles talking himself hoarse, passing on any information he received, broadcasting rumors about the self-proclaimed King of the Lone Star Empire. A king who the rumors said was some former military guy named Roderik whod raised an army and sent them rampaging around the countryside capturing the few people alive. People he forced to work for him, women he turned into servants fit only to cook and clean, the prettiest ones forced into lives of slave prostitution.

Book Excerpts

Then the station went silent. Either out of fuel for the generator or silenced by one of the warlords. Deshawn didnt know and hed probably never find out. In the long run it hardly mattered. The world had gone from a thriving global economy, from civilized high-tech and instant communication across the globe to a barbaric age of savagery in the span of less than a month. There were some really bad customers out there, prowling the post-Collapse landscape. People he had no desire to meet. Nor any desire to join in their egomaniacal quest for power. Rain, rain go away, he murmured to himself before turning from the hammering of hail and rain to try and get some sleep. Deshawn climbed out of his bunk the next morning, loaded up the Humvee and rolled out into the new world created by the Hand of Fate at a wink from Old Man Death.
