About Diploma in Applied Siddha Sciences (DASS)

Siddha sciences originated from the knowledge of enlightened Masters who knew everything about energy and herbs. This system had given equal importance for cosmic energy and herb and integrated both to form an amazing system called Siddha. They taught the world that our body is not only a mineral made structure but there is energy in it that gives us life and vitality. Siddha Medicines use not only herbs but minerals also. This system even teaches the way to convert poison to medicine. Siddha system has such a vast knowledge that can help the humanity in every aspects of life. But nowadays this practice has reduced only to herbal system due to the intervention of time, society and politics. Herbal part of Siddha itself is great and is giving results that no other remedial system is able to produce but that energy related knowledge is essential for giving a completely transformative treatment. SASIs attempt is to restore the complete Siddha system by integrating the energy and herbal parts together once again. Through Diploma in Applied Siddha Sciences, we aim to create Siddha practitioners who can give not only herbal medicine, but also the energy that the herb had while it was a growing plant. A DASS graduate will receive spiritual training to develop high sensitivity to energy, highly developed inner vision, and intuition powers which are a key factor to become a good Siddha practitioner. The DASS student will learn the complete remedial and diagnostic system of Siddha, including knowledge of human anatomy, the nervous system, and all Siddha practices. With all their abilities and knowledge, graduates will be able to prescribe the perfect herbal formulation for the patient. Patients diagnosed by a DASS holder will use as their course of treatment both herbal medicine and practices to increase and maintain vitality. Our focus is not only in making a practitioner who only focuses on herbal part but also in making a complete spiritualist that a true Siddha should be. This concept is now lacking in Ayurveda or other system. They have become just a method than a complete remedial system. DASS is a 3 year diploma course in which theory part will be delivered online and practical part will be delivered through direct workshops. This way of training is set to help students from any part of the world.

Course overview
Course content: Applied Energy and Herbal Science in Siddha Practices Aim: To create Siddha Practitioners who can sense medicine, energy and disease and provide a patient with a complete wellness solution that rejuvenates body, mind and spirit based on deep understanding in Siddha Science Duration: 3 years (6 semesters, each having 6 months duration) consisting of both online classes and direct workshop Credits: The diploma will carry total credit points of 240 Medium of instruction: English Teaching mode: Theory classes: Online distance education mode Practical classes: Direct workshop, 180 hours on the 3rd year of the course Intermediate certification DASS students can opt for intermediate certification system system through which they can start treatment using basic Siddha concepts. Details are given in the later part of this brochure.

DASS comprises of various modules that aims to heal and rejuvenate body, mind and spirit. A true Siddhar is a spiritual practitioner who can understand, heal and rejuvenate all aspects of a human being. Through DASS, we aim to train you in the true Siddhar way.

*Note: Students can choose any one from optional -1 and optional 2 subjects as part of DASS. If

Intermediate Certification System

After you complete one and a half years of DASS course, you are eligible for an Intermediate certification. Though this scheme, you will be able to do your practice in certain areas of Siddha system and start to do basic Siddha treatment. This will help you to start early practice using basis Siddha diagnostic methods, varmam and energy healing. Those who want to opt for intermediate certificate system will have to attend a short practical training for that particular certification. While you do the final year DASS practical sessions, you need not attend the trainings that had been covered in intermediate certification system.

Note: Following is an overview of the 3 year course. If the student fails to complete the course (Theory, practical or both) in 3 years, he can extend the course for maximum of 2 more years by paying only administrative charges for the additional year. Thus you can take up to 5 years to complete the entire course.

Practical:

Location for practical training:

Direct workshop (including Energy and Herbal part) of 180 hours duration in the 3rd year of the course Timings will be intimated 6 months in advance Student has a choice to attend the following energy level practical trainings whenever Pranashakty organizes it at any time before the 3rd year a) Jothi Body of Light Retreat Level 1 and 2 b) Inner Power or Inner Beauty Retreats c) Advanced Retreat If you prefer to extend the training, the practical sessions can be done with next batch of students 3rd year practical training will be conducted in Malaysia or India. Complete details will be intimated 6 months in advance. Special request for conducting workshops in other countries will be considered depending on the feasibility at that point of time. If you prefer to extend the course, you can attend the practical training with the next batch of students.

Details about theoretical training

Training materials: Training materials will be provided as electronic documents that can be accessed by the student at any time. Examinations: All examinations will be conducted online Course will have a continuous evaluation process with examinations after each module and semester Time of examination will be intimated 6 months in advance Examination charges for first attempt are included in course fee If a student fails to score the minimum points or fails to attend any examinations, he/she can do a second attempt with additional examination charges of $10 USD per subject Total 3 attempts are allowed for theory examinations Additional examinations fee is applicable only for semester wise examinations. Student need not pay examination fee for additional attempts for module wise examinations

Examinations:

There are no examinations for practical sessions. SASI will assess the performance directly during the training session Expenses for practical sessions are covered in course fee Student has to bare the expenses for his/her own food, travel and accommodation. If a student fails to attend any practical training sessions, he/she can attend during the next session with additional retreat charge of $100 USD per session Only one re-attempt is allowed for practical training

Fee Structure
Overview
Total course fee: $3600 (USD) Discount: 10% ($360 USD) only if the total course fee is paid at the time of joining) Installment mode: For those who prefer to extend the course timings Total course fee can be paid in 6 equal installments of $600 USD each at the beginning of each semester. Each installment has to be paid at the beginning of each semester of the course. Discount is not applicable for installment mode of payment. Course can be extended to 2 more years by paying only the administration charges of $200 USD per year

Special discount for Pranashakty students

Pranashakty students are eligible for a discount of $1000 USD over the entire course fee and free Inner Power level 1 or Inner beauty Level 1 training (these are part of DASS course) if the student satisfies the following conditions a) Discount is applicable only to those who have completed Advanced Retreat on or before 31st December 2010. b) The student must enroll for the DASS course on or before 31st December 2010 by paying the course fee (complete fee or first installment) or by paying initial deposit of $100 USD. Course fee is non refundable under any circumstances unless SASI cancels the course.

Course completion requirements

Diploma in Applied Siddha Sciences will be awarded to the students who satisfy all of the following requirements: a) b) c) d) The student must have completed all theoretical online trainings The student must have scored the minimum required score in all theory examinations The student must have attended all practical trainings The student must have completed all the course fee payments including additional examination and retreat charges if applicable.
