INTRODUCE:
The group was formed via the EpCop Mooc discussion in August 2011 with discussion with Ian , Junita and Carole at an Blackboard/Collaborate session for a other resources to use plus ways to chat with others, a resource for participants during the EpCop Mooc course and much more as you will see. It has been operating as information centre for participants over August and Sept 2011 so when participants came on line they can send and receive messages that can be viewed by themselves and other members of the EpCop Mooc. So the EpCop Nooc Skypers group members can have a discussion online with other Epcop Mooc Skypers to help each other in any area, share files and discuss issues. Like the situation where as Simon and Ian shared each others computers. A number of factors come into the situation of learning such as Unsure of what Skype is? Ian Hall is paying $10 a month to Skype (only the owner/organizer or learner of the group pays the $10) Advice: Have a go!! Join the group .. Question to ask: What is the future of this EpCop Mooc Skypers group? Discussion done

To one of the members of EpCop MOcc Skypers - Adrienne Kajewskis question : Is this like a drop in centre? My answer is YES and much more. Participants can send message to the message area where it can be read by everyone. Another way to help in training and learning for life. Check below pages for what is available on: Utilities with right click on names, Skype in groups and Facebook and creating a group on Skype.

COMMENTS AND GREAT RESOURCES FROM EpCop Mooc Skypers

Simon Pankhurst : life has a habit of doing that when we start something enjoyable Jenni Parker: If you are new to Skype you may find this 5 min introduction video useful http://youtu.be/j8mPdJvb9L4 copied straight from my student group Comments from participants such as: Adrienne Kajewski : Love the idea that we can chat almost anytime. Thanks Ian and Simon and Jenni. Always learn something new every time. As Adrienne Kajewski stated <<< I can see real teaching/learning benefits for Online Learning Communities if these conversation threads can be preserved for a time As Ian said let us have a get together so that you can share your experience and ask questions about Skype and it's uses... Thanks for the great sharing. . Adrienne Kajewski: I need a tick icon TICK!. Another skill under my belt....now just to practice SENDING files this way. Ian Hall : Thanks Simon for the sharing of each other computer on Skype. Skype has many additional applications for users. I can individually call users on the group system I just left clicked and called you INCREDIBLE. thanks Simon Ian Hall:The web site GCF Learn Free with lessons, interactives, extras and videos on Skype at: http://www.gcflearnfree.org/skype Carole McCulloch: thanks Jan, she was a wealth of information - there certainly is a leaning towards the eps in the cloud, I'm just looking at another one at: http://www.myshowcase.org/home.aspx Ian Hall: Skype in the classroom is a free global community that invites teachers to collaborate on classroom projects where they might use Skype, and share skills and inspiration around specific teaching needs. Teachers all over the world are using Skype to make learning more exciting and memorable. It's easy to see why: Skype offers an immediate way to help students discover new cultures, languages and ideas, all without leaving the classroom. One of the most inspiring examples weve come across is teacher Kara Cornejos global weather project, which started here on Skype in the classroom: http://education.skype.com/about

Ian Hall: Facebook/Skype: How do I call and instant message my Facebook friends with Skype 5.5 for Windows? With Skype 5.5 for Windows you can send instant messages to your Facebook friends and call them from a new Facebook contacts list. Before you call or send an instant message to your Facebook friends. Support at: https://support.skype.com/enus/category/FACEBOOK/ Ian Hall: Skype Click to Call: Call numbers instantly, anywhere on the web, with just one click. http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/get-skype/on-your-computer/click-to-call Ian Hall: https://developer.skype.com/ for developers. Get plugged into Skype. At Skype Developer, you'll find everything you need to build Skype into your own hardware and software. Ian Hall: Blog for developers at http://blogs.skype.com/developer/2011/06/bringing_video_to_the_next_wav.html Carole McCulloch: Ian I think that we might see this group continuing after the MOOC for 2011, good place to debrief and plan ahead, good on you for developing it Carole McCulloch: copied from a comment in the NING: we're on the right track for scaffolding the MOOCers for the 'adjourning' phase of our community. I'm looking into the set of tools sent by Ian Hall for something that will provide a method of gaining recognition for completion of the MOOC. I'm also going to ask questions of the Change 11 MOOC design team for their advice on this -this week's orientation week for this new MOOC really inspired me to think through even more methods of scaffolding e.g. video walk through and daily communications these would be my contributions to continuous improvement of this MOOC and help to design an even more exciting adventure in 2012
