Diveagar is a place situated in Konkan coast of Maharashtra. It is approximately 5 km. from Shrivardhan. Diveagar is just like any other village situated on the konkan coast, but the mo st important attraction of this village is discovery of Ganesh Idol made of pure Gold. The other attraction of this village is Beach, a 6 kms. long strength with white sand and clear water surrounded by Suru Tree and Belu Trees which are very unco mmonly seen in this Coast. Diveagar is just like any other small sleepy Konkan village, beautiful beach, tr aditional homes surrounded by Coconut, Banana, Supari Garden and simple people a refreshing weekend.

1.Shriwardhan t is the land of Peshwas. It's the birthplace of Peshwa Balaji Vishwanath was th e founder of the Peshwa dynasty The temple in the town - Shri Laxminarayan Temple - is the main temple of Peshwa s. The idol in the temple is quite old and said to be of Hoyasal style. There stands house of the Peshwas narrating the story of their royal existence, which was built by Third Peshwa (Balaji Bajirao) in 1750. Shriwardhan is also famous for a forts and golden beach. The beach here is aweso me and the best thing about it the impregnable silence. And if one relishes sea-food, there is no scarcity of delicacies to sample here. Shriwardhan is about 6kms from Diveagar 2.Harihareshwar Harihareshwar is considered one of the holiest places in India.It is called the Kashi of South India because of a Shivling. The town is surrounded by four hills named after Lords Harihareshwar, Harshinach al, Bramhadri and Pushpadri. The river Savitri enters the sea from the town of Harihareshwar. Towards the nor th is the temple of Harihareshwar, said to have been blessed by Lord Vishnu, hen ce Harihareshwar is often referred to as Devghar or house of God. The temple was re-constructed by First Bajirao Peshawa in 1723. Harihareshwar is a also popular beach resort with two unspoiled and pristine bea ches, one to the north and the other to the south of the temple. Harihareshwar i s 25km away from Diveagar 3.Murud-Janjira

Murud-Janjira is the local name for a fort situated at the coastal village of Mu rud, in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. It is famous for being the only fort along India's western coast that remained u ndefeated despite Maratha, Dutch and English East India Company attacks. Shivaji Maharaj made six unsuccessful attempts to conquer this fort. Later Sambh aji Raje and even the Peshwas tried to conquer Mehroob, but in vain. The fort Janjira, thus remained unconquered and labeled as impregnable. Murud is more popular today as a picturesque beach resort. One can spend time here gleefully lapping amidst the waves and the lush coconut and palm trees, not forgetting the tranquility of the setting sun. Padmadurg - a fort built by Shivaji Maharaj is to north -west of Janjira. Though not as big as Janjira, still Padmadurga is also a sea fort that can be vi sited and enjoyed. Murud / Janjira is thus standing proudly ready to accept challenges even today. 4.Tale - Kuda Caves The Kuda caves are also worth your visit but are slightly off the road. Tale is a small town located at the base of Talegad fort. There are ancient Leni inside th e fort, but you will have to make a trek up to the fort to see the leni. The Kuda Leni located near Tale is definitely a place worth your visit. Caves ca rved out of mountain in King Shilahar s time are still intact. Vehicles can go up to Kuda caves. The view around the caves is breathtaking.
