Basic Information and General Requirement All interested candidates are expected to have a personal e-mail address which must not be shared with others for the purpose of this application. (If you wish to get an e-mail account free, please visit any of these sites: www.yahoo.com, www.hotmail.com, www.gmail.com or any other site that provided e-mail services.) The Postgraduate School, UI requires all applicants to have one telephone line to which text messages (SMS) could be sent. All applicants are expected to be able to browse and check their e-mails from time to time. Please READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS. Carefully read the prospectus to verify that the programme you are seeking admission into, is available and you have the basic qualifications required for admission into the programme. Step 1

Steps in the Application Process Activity Candidates are to download the PG school Prospectus and read through carefully to determine availability of the programme which they intend to apply for and whether they meet the admission criteria (You are expected to have done this by now) Having satisfied step 1, each candidate would be requested to supply Names, Country of Origin, e-mail Address, phone number, country code and country located. A mail containing an application number and a password would be sent to the supplied e-mail address and the candidate would be requested to retrieve and supply these to confirm the

e-mail Address. (It is very important that each candidate supplies a valid and accessible e-mail address) 3 Each candidate will then be required to select the programme he/she intends to apply for. An Invoice will be issued to the candidate which is to be printed out and used for payment at any of the designated banks. (Foreigners would be expected to send a bank cheque of the specified amount made payable to The Postgraduate School, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. The name, address, and Unique Application Number of the applicant should be written at the back of the bank cheque, Also send along the invoice issued by the web site on the payment.) Each candidate will be notified of the confirmation of payment via e-mail after which, the candidate returns to continue the application procedure. After completion of all data entry, the candidate will be able to review data entered and make necessary adjustment to any of the data fields except the selected programme, E-mail and Country of Origin All through, the candidate could chat directly with the Information Officer of the PG school if any difficulty or confusion arises Having satisfied Step 4, each candidate is expected to print out the following: (i) 1 copy of Application Form (ii) 3 copies of Referee forms (iii) 1 copy of Eligibility form, and (iv) 1 copy of Transcript label. The signed Application and Eligibility forms must be sent, along with photocopies of all documents requested, to The DR/Secretary PG School, UI by surface mail in secured A4 sized envelope (Not to Admission Office). (a photocopy of the following documents are to be sent as it applies to you: First Degree Certificate, HND Certificate, O/A Level Certificate, Masters Certificate, NYSC Certificate and Proposal [Ph.D Applicants only] and any other relevant documents in support of qualifications claimed) A copy of the referee forms must be sent to each of the 3 referees who should be asked to return them, on completion, directly to The DR/Secretary PG School, UI. The Transcript Label must be attached to each request for transcript (UI graduates do not need to submit Transcript). Each candidate shall receive e-mail and/or text messages from the PG School on their admission status. The candidates are free to log on the PG School web site to check on their admission status and if need be, chat with the Information Officer.

Step 1

Steps in the Registration Process Activity Each student would use his Application Number and the password that was used during the application for admission process to login and start registration. For renewal students, they must have fully completed the previous session registration and can login with their Matric number instead of Application number. The student would be issued an Invoice. This would list the tuition and other fees to be paid by the student. It is to be printed out by each student and used for payment at any

branch of the specified banks. (Foreigners would be expected to send a bank cheque of the specified amount made payable to The Postgraduate School, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. The name, address, and Matriculation Number of the applicant should be written at the back of the bank cheque, Also send along the invoice issued by the web site on the payment.) 3 Each student will be notified of the confirmation of payment via e-mail after which, the candidate returns to continue the registration procedure. This includes course registration where applicable and others. After completion of all data entry, the candidate will be able to review data entered and make necessary adjustment to some of the data fields With Step 3 completed, each student is expected to print out the following: (i) 4 copies of Registration Form, (ii) 4 copies of Course Registration Form if offering courses for the session (iii) 3 copies of Student Financial Clearance Form (to be printed after payments have been verified by PG School). The signed forms are then taken to the department and faculty for necessary processing. The signed and processed forms must be dropped at the General Office of the PG School and addressed to The DR/Secretary PG School, UI secured A4 sized envelope (Not to Records Office). N/B: You cannot print any form until a Matric number is assigned to you by the MIS/PG School. Each student shall receive e-mail messages from the PG School on their registration status. The candidates are free to log on the PG School web site to check on their registration status and if need be, chat with the Information Officer. When their form are fully processed and signed at the Postgraduate School, the student is notified via e-mail. The student would go to the records office to collect their copies of the signed and processed forms. If the student is interested in Bed Space Allocation in the Hall, then the next few steps apply 7 If the Student is interested in Hall Accommodation, he will log on to PG School Web Site (after payment of registration related fees have been confirmed and Matric number and hall of residence allocated), print out 3 copies of the Accommodation Request form, and drop a copy with the Hall Administration. If he is allocated to a room and issued an "Authority to Pay" slip, the student would log onto PG School Web site to process payment for the allocation. He would be issued an Invoice. This would list the Accommodation fee that applies to the Hall and the type of room allocated. It is to be printed out by each student and used for payment at any branch of the specified banks. (Foreigners would be expected to send a bank cheque of the specified amount made payable to The Postgraduate School, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. The name, address, and Matriculation Number of the applicant should be written at the back of the bank cheque, Also send along the invoice issued by the web site on the payment.)

After the payment is confirmed by the bank, the student will fill out the requested data online and then print out 3 copies of the Hall Biodata form and 3 copies of Student Financial Clearance Form. He will submit 2 copies of the Accommodation Request form, along with 3 copies of Accommodation Clearance form, drop them at the General Office of the PG School and addressed to The DR/Secretary PG School, UI secured A4 sized envelope. He will use the remaining copy to collect his bed space allocation pending the time he is financially cleared When their forms are fully processed and signed at the Postgraduate School, the student is notified via e-mail. The student would go to the records office to collect their copies of the signed and processed Accommodation related forms.
