Installing and Running the XML NBI

About This Chapter


This chapter describes how to install, start, and stop the XML NBI. The following table lists the contents of this chapter. 6.1 Installing the XML NBI


The installation of the XML NBI is integrated in the installation of the N2000 BMS server. The XML NBI includes: NBI module (frame) NBI module (XML) NBI server During the installation, you must select the NorthBound Interface Module (FRAME), NorthBound Interface Module (XML), and XML NorthBound Bound Server components. Figure 6-1 shows the components that must be selected during the installation. Figure 6-1 Selecting installation components

6.2 Starting and Stopping the XML NBI


6.2.1 For Windows OS
For Windows OS, you can start and stop the process of the XML NBI on the N2000 BMS SysMonitor. Step 1 Choose Programs > iManager N2000 > N2000 System Monitor from the Start menu, or double click the Figure 6-2 Login icon to display the Login dialog box, as shown in Figure 6-2.

Step 2 Click to display the Server Setting dialog box. Step 3 Click Add, configure the IP address and server name of the N2000 BMS server, and then click OK. Step 4 Click OK to close the Server Setting dialog box. Step 5 In the Server Name drop-down list, select the server. Step 6 In the User Name and Password text boxes, enter the user name and password. Step 7 Click Login to log in to the N2000 BMS SysMonitor. Step 8 In the SysMonitor window, click the Process tab. Step 9 Select the NorthBound Interface Module (XML) process, right-click and choose Start Process, as shown in Figure 6-3.

The normal running of the XML NBI depends on the bmsnbiDm and NE processes. Step 10 Select the NorthBound Interface Module (XML) process, right-click and choose Stop Process. ----End

6.2.2 For Solaris OS


For Solaris OS, you can start and stop the process of the XML NBI on the N2000 BMS SysMonitor. Step 1 In the terminal window, run the following commands to display the Login dialog box. #cd /opt/n2000/client #./sysmonitor.sh Step 2 Click to display the Server Setting dialog box. Step 3 Click Add, configure the IP address and server name of the N2000 BMS server, and then click OK. Step 4 Click OK to close the Server Setting dialog box. Step 5 In the Server Name drop-down list, select the server. Step 6 In the User Name and Password text boxes, enter the user name and password. Step 7 Click Login to log in to the N2000 BMS SysMonitor.

Step 8 In the SysMonitor window, click the Process tab. Step 9 Select the NorthBound Interface Module (XML) Process, right-click and choose Start Process. Step 10 Select the NorthBound Interface Module (XML) Process, right-click and choose Stop Process. ----End
