Dear Editor in Chief,

A scholar asked: “I heard that a moderate general said words: ‘clear, erect, build’ is
their strategy against sectarian violence and war on terror in Iraq. Can you give specific
ways on how guns and ammunition be cleared using better ways than before?” The A.I.
answered: “The moderate and balanced military men and policemen should give now
more emphasis on how to clear civilian or people with guns and ammunitions using the
latest technology on sensing hidden weapons or ammunitions and detecting entering
weapons and ammunitions on “cleared” war zones of weapons. And more emphasis to do
fast and practical solutions on how to catch on the act those people carrying guns and
ammunitions on “hot places” or places prone to have sympathizers to the extremists.
Perhaps some wild suggestion could trigger some practical solutions to solve or to fix the
problem. The key is that most extremist carries weapons-long arms, hand carry anti-tank
missile, Improvised Explosive Devises or IEDs made from salvaged bombs with its
triggering devices such as cell phone, timer, wires, primer, etc. Most of those weapons or
ammunitions have metal-iron or bronze and have standard shape that could be analyzed
by programs as weapons. Sometimes the weapons are hidden in plastics with little oil or
some grease. So, perhaps there could be many way to search for the key: a) trained dogs
on sniffing and searching for key materials like plastics with grease or oil could be
feasible. b) Pass an ordinance that in every house in the war zone a small smart sensor
equipped with camera and security seal should be installed worth perhaps $20-$50. And
the smart sensor could perhaps psychologically pressure the people inside the house to
fear something that they are being watched. This is to discourage the civilian who are
being intimated to become supporters of the extremists. The small smart sensor is just a
compressed cell phone with camera that could shot picture every man entering the door
and a program could analyzed if the man has uniform same as the terrorists or has gun.
The program is simple- anything that is connected to the man that is pointed could be
suspected as weapon even an umbrella or a rod attached to him. Then the powerful
microphone would be switched to gather tune of voice that is not registered on the family
data. Then the device could automatically send signals to the mother base for alert or the
house will now be a prime target for further surveillance with sophisticated instrument to
detect and to verify terrorists there. The device has self destruction mechanism so that it
could not be used as part of an IED. Perhaps just a rumor that every house has device that
it could sense any weapon could demoralize the enemies. Any attempt on the civilian part
to destroy or damage the device, the person could be a prime suspect as extremist and he
could be penalized or be suspected as sympathizer; or the people inside the house should
pay the destroyed instrument-another consumable as economic stimuli. c) Pass a law that
a gun could be exchanged for food or money. Or scholarship and the likes could
encourage people to surrender guns or weapons. d) Pass a law that who ever give a tip on
locating weapon and material for IED and there is a successful apprehension will be
given some reward according to its value- the more sophisticated and greater the quantity,
the greater the reward. Principle: a) Any person –a terrorist or a criminal - if he has no
tool to carry his motive; he is useless. b) Better give more emphasis on searching
weapons and stopping weapons & ammunitions to enter cleared zone than exposing
oneself to danger of being shot like a sitting duck by a sniper. Those who will do the
clearing of weapons and ammunitions should be well armored perhaps even on his face
and neck. c) Putting any device from the military inside a house could already demoralize
sympathizers and invisible enemies. The device could already be as something to deter
weapons or extremists to enter the cleared place. The device is as if there is a virtual
security guard or virtual spy that could let civilian people be always on guard not to side
with the extremists. During peace time the device could be given as gift to the people as
an ordinary cell phone with camera; but with just some adjustments and manipulations
and adding some cheap parts.
Leader should always learn that the enemies could be their immediate neighbors or
friends or even their trained officers and men-pretending to be moderate and balanced but
in their hearts and mind they are siding more with the religious extremists: a) for credit-
want to be remembered as “martyrs” in history and not as collaborators of the “Great
Satan” -promoters of sexual liberation on this planet. b) Political positioning-or for
having some roots on power and wealth if the “foreigners” or “occupiers” are defeated
through default like election in their motherland. c) Selfishness or other motives. –
Religious supremacy.
 But, to counter these seemingly “only” true and “only” right words especially for “a)
for credit,” moderate and balanced military and police especially those who are foreign
liberators should educate, train, delegate their work as the true spreader of democracy to
those who are natives and already true moderate and balanced in their heart and mind
sincerely and even religiously so that the credit- if ever there would be liberation of
extremism in the minds of most people there who were deceived by twisted words- the
credit would be theirs. Because if not, it would be the greatest mistakes for those
moderate and balanced spreader of democracy – training “baby snakes”- providing the
skills as military and police but their heart and minds are still like those religious
extremists. And when the “baby snakes grow,” they –the grown up snakes would never
recognize their trainers or their teachers and they would bite hard using the skills taught
to them.
A scholar asked: “What do you mean by the next strategy - “erect”? The A.I.
answered: Perhaps it is just erecting those damaged roads, bridges, structures by the
coalition forces with its friends and allies during the on going war. The military with its
engineering brigade or battalion would do those engineering jobs, and even train Iraqi
and volunteer people to do engineering jobs even during the conflicts. And with regards
to the next strategy “build,” the moderate and balanced military men and policemen
would build new infrastructures and roads, bridges so that civilian elected leaders could
do their mandate to enhance balanced principles to ordinary people. The elected moderate
officials could effectively and efficiently remove or do away those extremes or chaotic
things that most extremists are doing. The extremists were just being deceived by words
especially from religious scared books taught by misguided religious leaders; but in
essence those words are contrary to Words that are universal.
Most people are not perfect, they commit mistakes. But the extremist would focus so
much on those mistakes to fuel their hatred and to arrive on their ultimate goal to have a
dirty bomb or nuclear bomb to detonate it with him and be called a “martyr”. So,
moderate and balanced military and policemen should also fight a “religious” fight but
opposite of their false religious fight. If the fighting is a “long war” or the terrorist could
wait and wait example two or five or more years to carry their goal, balanced and
moderate men should also do the same: fight them with a “long war” using also religious
balanced principles but smarter and better-combining good universal teachings, majority
rule or law, and science to pre-empt any extreme at the start of the problem; or being
sensitive to the start of the problem. So if some politicians are using war on terror as their
“political ace card”, pass a law or referendum that both parties should let “the war on
terror” as their “political ace card.” And also so that each party could concentrate on other
issues; but not sacrificing or putting the security of the nation similar to a “game of
chance. Perhaps the extremists would most likely bet on playing the “game of chance”
on those politicians who “hate” those incumbents supporting war on terror.
A scholar asked: “Is there really a monopoly of good words?” The A.I. answered: “I
think good words that result to good deeds could never be monopolized by “one” and
“only” superior religion even if it is enhanced by public miracles or by display of unity-
example: every body seem to be ‘holy’; if indeed that religion holds the “only” truth.
Perhaps that religion would have the monopoly of good men. But if not... or the reverse
instead is happening such as: it pushes the mind to be corrupt, to be conceited-don’t like
to imitate even small goodness other groups are practicing. It pushes the mind to be
conniver, to be enjoying the illegal fruits of godfather syndrome or to be self righteous as
having martyrdom syndrome or suicide bomber syndrome; and not progressive especially
not business oriented in general, or not creative; or lack of specific actions to defeat small
extremes or chaos. So, perhaps monopoly of good words from being the only true and
right group is extreme. Perhaps religious extremism- which could be found to any group
claiming that they are the “only” true and “only” right group- could fuel a war on terror
that is a “long war.”
A “long war” and religious in nature should be balanced by a “long war” too and a
religious in nature too but opposite of those extremists whether they are from too left-the
the extremist socialist, or from too right-the extremist dictator or tyrant or from too
religious – those extremist religious fanatics; or other extremists. But balancing is really
hard to maintain because it is constantly adjusting to any tilting or twisting. Perhaps the
best principle is “Balanced” but cemented on “Rock.”
A long war should be anointed by the people thru a referendum so that when there is
an election on the motherland, the extremists or terrorists would not have the chance to be
declared -the instant winner. The problem of too much putting the destiny of the nation
on political election is when the extremists or terrorists are just waiting for leaders who
“hate” the incumbents to be the winners in the election. The terrorists would now do their
“long goal” to destroy their enemy- their perceived “Great Satan” with the help of their
favorite word and secret ally - “hating from within” because of political competition or
political jealousy or political envy inside the motherland. And perhaps one day in the
long war, the terrorist or suicide bomber with patience would use a dirty bomb or a
nuclear bomb wanting to be a “martyr” in the name of “hatred.”
