Back to School
Go, my brothers! Go to the Blessed Master and ask Him to enroll your names in that school which He always keeps open for those who long to study the Divine art of prayer and intercession! Yes, let us say to the Master, Lord, teach us to pray. Andrew Murray, With Christ in the School of Prayer We are really learning much in this school of prayer. It seems we are enrolled in an intensive course! All of our ministries are in full swing, and Satan is not happy. Heritage International School just finished their Spiritual Emphasis Week, and United Faith Chapel at Kampala International University is gearing up for a retreat. Our days are full going to school, doing ministry, running errands, writing, playing and cooking--but the common thread woven through each day is prayer. Nothing we do will last, or matter, if its not bathed in prayer. And as we found out on Thursday, we may not even make it to a ministry opportunity if were not sufficiently covered in prayer. I was driving to Heritage to speak at chapel and was in a small car accident. It felt as though Satan was simply blocking my way. Thank you for praying. We need it. But more than that, we need to do it. We need to make prayer as natural as breathing. And so we need Him to teach us how to pray. Check out our blog for more stories of life and ministry! www.thehallahans.blogspot.com And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray. Movie time with new friends

This semester we will be going deeper in our prayer lives. The following syllabus has a number of ways for you to take the next step in Christs School of Prayer. Projects: Start a prayer journal, recording date, request/promise, and date answered. Use a different posture for prayer: kneeling, standing, lying prostrate Start a missions prayer group that meets weekly or monthly. Pray for Uganda weekly using the Prayer Guides posted on our blog, under the Prayer Guides tab at the top. If God has given you a prayer burden for someone specific, write them a note or e-mail and let them know you are standing with them through prayer. Set aside one day a week for fasting and prayer. Adopt a student at Heritage International School as your prayer assignment for this year. E-mail us for a first name if youre interested. Organize a concert of prayer for missions at your church--a worship gathering for the sole purpose of worship and prayer for the nations. Prayer Requests
That God would continue to soften the hearts of the students at Heritage, and give them a hunger for Himself. For the retreats planned for UFC and HIS, that God would use the time apart to speak clearly and draw hearts to Himself. That the leaders at UFC would be strengthened for the work that is theirs. For safety and health as we minister here. That Satan would be allowed no footholds in our lives and ministry! For God to send more workers for the harvest!

Watch Us Grow
Its been a pretty steep learning curve for me, getting a family ready for school--I was home-schooled. It wasnt this complicated. But we are finally falling into a happy rhythm of working and resting, learning and playing. Josh is out of the house a good portion of each day and loves being busy for the kingdom! Caleb and Seth are adjusting to school and love their teachers and meeting new friends. I am probably adjusting slowest to this new season, because Im still home, theres just no one else here.

Once I get my own computer, Ill be up to my neck in things to do, and for now Im loving the extra time to pray!
