1. ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENTS / REGOLAZIONI ELETTRICHE

The most important electrical adjustments are
performed through the SERVICE MODE (see
the corresponding chapter). In this way, it is
possible to modify the operating parameters
even if the unit cover is closed (by minimizing
risks and times).
The adjustments that require the cover
removal are performed in factory during the
unit testing and, usually, they don't need to be
re-performed.
Le tarature elettriche più importanti si
eseguono tramite la MODALITÁ SERVICE (vedi
capitolo relativo), in questo modo è possibile
intervenire sui parametri operativi ad unità
chiusa (quindi minimizzando rischi e tempi
d’intervento).
Le regolazioni che richiedono la rimozione del
carter sono effettuate in fabbrica durante il
collaudo dell’unità e, in genere, non
necessitano ulteriori aggiustamenti.

2. COLLIMATOR ADJUSTMENTS / REGOLAZIONI COLLIMATORE
2.1. Light / x-
x-ray field correspondence / Corrispondenza campo luce / raggi
The light/x-ray correspondence is adjusted in
the factory and it does not require any further
adjustments.
If you would like to check the correspondence,
follow these instructions.
Place a cassette 35x43 cm (14x17") a meter
far from the x-ray source, so that the x-ray
beam is perpendicular to it.
Don't use the collimator indicators as
reference, but measure the real distance from
the focal spot to the cassette surface by using
the collimator tape measure.
Center the cassette in the x-ray field by means
of the collimator light.
Mark the cassette position with adhesive tape
or something, so that it can be removed and
placed in the same position again.
Put a white paper sheet on the cassette in
order to get the max.contrast for the luminous
field.
Open the collimator shutters in order to get a
field 35x35 cm to a distance of 1 m.
Activate the light field and use it to place 17
washers as shown in Fig. 1.
Place every couple of washers so that they
touch. The washer inside the luminous field
should be lit as much as possible, whilst the
one outside should be lit as little as possible.
The tangent points define the edges of the
luminous field. The last washer will be placed
in a corner and will be used to orientate the
film.

La corrispondenza luce/raggi viene regolata in
fabbrica e non necessita di ulteriori
regolazioni.
In caso si volesse verificare la corrispondenza,
procedere come descrito di seguito.
Posizionare una cassetta da 35x43 cm.
(14x17") ad 1 metro di distanza dalla sorgente
radiogena, facendo in modo che il fascio
radiogeno sia perpendicolare ad essa.
Non utilizzare gli indicatori del collimatore
come riferimento, ma misurare effettivamente
la distanza dal punto focale alla superficie
della cassetta, utilizzando il metro a nastro del
collimatore.
Centrate la cassetta nel campo radiogeno per
mezzo della luce del collimatore.
Segnare la posizione della cassetta con nastro
adesivo o altro mezzo in modo che questa
possa essere tolta e posta nuovamente nella
medesima posizione.
Mettere un foglio di carta bianco sulla casetta
per ottenere il massimo contrasto per il campo
luminoso.
Aprire le lamelle del collimatore per ottenere
un campo di 35x35 cm ad una distanza di 1
m.
Attivare il campo luce e utilizzarlo per
posizionare 17 rondelle come illustrato in Fig.
1.
Posizionare ogni copia di rondelle in modo
che si tocchino e che la rondella all’interno
del campo luminoso sia illuminata il più
possibile mentre quella all’esterno si illuminata
il meno possibile.
I punti di tangenza definiscono i lati del
campo luminoso. L’ultima rondella verrà
posizionata in un angolo e permetterà di
orientare il film.

The function of the clutch is to adjust and to
make constant the arm spring tension and so
balance the arm that supports the monobloc
during its entire stroke.
Generally, the weight compensation is
performed with the arm in the horizontal
position and with the clutch completely
excluded.
Then the clutch is closed till the tube arm
remains in position at the end of the
movement (completely up and down) and the
movement is perfectly smooth and regular.
The handle located on the side of the arm is
used for small adjustments when the arm
balancing does not remain constant on the
movement travel, a defect that can arise after
a working period.

Utilizzando la chiave fissa (Ø19mm) ruotare il
dado tirante come segue:
• in senso antiorario per aumentare la

braccio tende a scendere).

La frizione serve per compensare e rendere
costante il tiro della molla del braccio e quindi
bilanciato il braccio porta monoblocco in tutta
la sua escursione.
In genere, infatti, la compensazione del peso
viene effettuata con il braccio in orizzontale e
con questa frizione completamente esclusa.
Successivamente si chiude la frizione finché il
braccio porta tubo rimane in posizione anche
agli estremi della corsa (completamente in
alto e in basso) ed il movimento risulta
scorrevole e regolare.
La maniglia posta a fianco del braccio serve
per effettuare piccole regolazioni quando la
bilanciatura del braccio non risulta costante su
tutta la corsa, difetto che può insorgere dopo
qualche periodo di funzionamento.

3.3. Adjustment of the fork-

The clutch on the inclination movement of the
monobloc must be adjusted in order to have a
smooth movement and to keep the monobloc
in the intended position.
If the monobloc will not stay in the set
position, tighten the clutch a bit.

un movimento scorrevole e per mantenere il

3.4. Adjustment of the unit parking brake / Regolazione del freno di stazionamento unità
The unit has got two pedals placed on the
sides of the unit that operate on the parking
brake.
In order to check the proper working of the
parking brake, operate in the following way:
pos.1: deactivated brake
pos.1: freno disattivato
Put the lever in position 1 (deactivated brake).
Push the unit with both hands. The movement
must result unbraked and the motion straight.
Put the lever in position 2 (activated brake).
Push the unit with both hands. The unit should
not move.
If the unit tends to move straightly, both brakes
must be adjusted. On the contrary, if the unit
tends to swing on itself, the brake opposite to
the unit direction must be adjusted (for
example if the unit tends to rotate clockwise,
the left brake must be adjusted).
The adjustment procedure explained in this
manual is valid for both brakes:
Disassemble the brake mechanism cover by
removing the two screws TC M4x10 with nylon
washer ø4.

Per verificare il corretto funzionamento del
freno di stazionamento agire nel seguente
modo:

Portare la leva in posizione 1 (freno
disattivato).
Spingere con entrambe le mani l’unità. Il
movimento deve risultare non frenato e il
moto rettilineo.
Portare la leva in posizione 2 (freno attivato).
Spingere con entrambe le mani l’unità. L’unità
non dovrebbe muoversi.
Se l’unità tende a muoversi in modo rettilineo,
vanno regolati entrambi i freni, mentre se
l’unità tende a girare su stessa va regolato il
freno opposto alla direzione della macchina
(es. se l’unità tende a girare in senso orario,
va regolato il freno di sinistra).
Il procedimento di regolazione illustrato di
seguito è valido per entrambi i freni:
Smontare il carter di copertura del
meccanismo del freno, togliendo le due viti
TC M4x10 con rosetta in nylon ø4.

If the distance is incorrect, loosen the two
screws M6x16 (pos. B) and approach or move
away the mechanism till the intended value is
reached.
Loosen the lock nut (pos.C) and adjust the nut
(pos.D) till the distance between the pad and
the mechanism of the brake push of
2mm±0,5 (pos. E) is reached.
Close the lock nut and check the movement.

Portare la leva del freno in posizione 1 (freno
disattivato).
Verificare che la distanza tra pattino del freno
e la ruota sia 2mm (0,08in) ±0,5 (0,02in)
(pos. A).
In caso contrario allentare le due viti M6x16
(pos. B) e avvicinare o allontanare il
meccanismo fino a raggiungere la quota
voluta.
Allentare il controdado (pos. C) e regolare il
dado (pos. D) fino ad avere la distanza tra il
pattino e il meccanismo di spinta del freno di
2mm±0,5 (pos. E).
Chiudere il controdado e verificare il
movimento.
