1. operating environment

1. [important] adobe acrobat (r) reader 5.0 or later is required

to read the installed operating instructions and help messages.
in order to install the adobe acrobat (r) reader, double-click
ar505enu.exe in the [adobe] folder on the cd-rom and
follow the directions of the screen.
read the operating instructions only after accepting the
licensing agreement.

2. [important] to operate motiondv studio, microsoft directx(r)9.0b

or later should be installed.
if the required version of directx is not installed in the pc when you
install motiondv studio, the installer for directx is activated.
follow the message to install it.
if directx is not installed since you canceled the installation of directx
when motiondv studio is installed or by other reasons, double-click
"dxsetup.exe" in [directx] folder on the cd-rom and follow the messages
to install it.

3. this software operates only on the following operating systems,

but not on others.
windows(r)xp professional/home edition (service pack 1 or later)
windows(r)2000 professional (service pack 4 or later)
windows(r)me

4. when using motiondv studio, it is recommended that both

notebook pcs and digital video equipment to be powered with an
ac adapter.
operations may fail when you record, calibrate, or capture data
while using a battery pack.

5. use the standard settings for fonts and screens.

otherwise, the fonts, etc. may not be displayed properly.

6. motiondv studio can not be used with other movie editing software
or products for capturing video simultaneously. particularly,
please note that software operating in the background, such as
timer recording, may cause this software to malfunction.

2. notes for using

1. if a condition preventing video from being recorded, such as

picture distortion, is encountered during recording, then
restart windows in accordance with the operating instructions.
also, if other application software is used during recording,
 picture distortion or other harmful phenomena may occur, leading
to incorrect recording. exit the other application software and
resident programs such as virus-checking programs beforehand.
it is recommended that this software be used only when other
application software and resident programs are exited.

2. the original video size of the preview images shown on the

motiondv studio should not be 100%.

3. the primary domain for the file output settings are used
exclusively for the motiondv studio. the data set in the folder
will be erased. make sure that the folder to be set for the
primary domain does not contain any data.

4. if a transition is set between movie clips, the fading effect

is applied to the audio in the transition zone. however, this
effect will not be reflected in the preview. carry out rendering,
and the actual audio can be checked.

5. if a still image is specified for the title background, then the

background effect for the title will be disabled.

6. depending on the settings or the font used, characters for a title

created by the title function may not be displayed correctly or
the character setting may not be applied.

7. if the file name displayed in a library is changed, the library

may not be updated correctly, such as with the erasure of the
display. if the display is different from the actual data,
then [refresh] the library menu.

8. if you uninstall this application, a dialog may appear to prompt

you to restart the system to finish the uninstallation. if this
is the case, then restart the system in order to finish the
uninstallation.
