Twenty-Fifty Sunday in Ordinary Time

Todays gospel contrasts equality with generosity. Often, We think our worth is measured in what we are paid. But this is false our true worth is not measured by money or possessions. God is generous to us all. Fairness is an important family value. However, families function better by first promoting generosity and gratitude rather than feeding envy by promoting equality and a preoccupation with keeping score.

This would not have been possible without the amazing and countless volunteers. Thank you to Jean Murphy, Chris Christoff and Steve Underation and the many volunteers who helped setup, run, and tear down the picnic. Everyone from serving food to planning games as well as all those who attended -THANK YOU. The picnic would not have been such a wonderful time without you. Hope to see all of you next year!

Would you have your health, your family, your faith? Let us all remember to thank God for his countless blessings. If you are a night owl, we have two open hours that are in desperate need of a gentleman who is willing to make a Holy Hour. Please call Judy Soltis at 330-212-0926 if you are able to assist in any capacity.

The American Red Cross will be at Saint Augustine School today Sunday, September 18, from 9-1 in the SAC. The need for blood typically increases during the summer, with increased accidents on the highways and from outdoor activities. Please help us build up a sufficient supply of blood. Did you know that Type O Negative is always in high demand because it can be transfused to patients with any blood type, especially in emergency situations? Type O negative, A negative and B negative donors can make the difference between a sufficient blood supply and a potential shortage. If you are unable to give blood at this time, please visit the closest Red Cross blood donation center at your earliest convenience. You can save the Day! Please give blood this fall.
