J&J international expansion began with Canada in 1919 and England in 1924. During 1926 to 1946, J&J expanded into Mexico, Belgium, Ireland, Switzerland, Argentina and Brazil. J&J infrastructure is organized by implementing two mechanism; one is Regional Indirect Procurement Centers of Excellence (COEs) located in Asia, Canada and Latin America, which are considered indirect areas because goods and services are not being used directly in a product. The other mechanism is Category Teams, in which each leader has a virtual collaborative team with representations from across J&J operating companies. The teams work on building top quality products and services at the lowest possible cost. In the long run

J&J should see consistent sales growth fueled by the aging demographics in the U.S moreover, the medical supplies and services needed by the elderly populations will increase simultaneously with the aging of the large baby boomers population. From 1980s to present time, J&J has grown through acquisitions and within developed business that gives J&J leadership position in a number of areas. Johnson & Johnson Ethics J&J is able to succeed in nearly any endeavor, J&J has stood the test of time from a historical perspective and continued to come out ahead in every task they have achieved. In October of 1982m Tylenol, the leading pain-killer medicine in the United States at the time, faced tremendous crisis when seven people in Chicago were reported dead after taking extra-strength Tylenol capsules. It was reported that an unknown suspect(s) put 65 milligrams of deadly cyanide into Tylenol capsules, 10,000 more than what is necessary to kill a human being. The tampering occurred once the product reached the shelves (Mitchell, 1989). In 1982, Tylenol controlled 37% of its market with revenue of about $1.2 million. Immediately after the cyanide poisonings, its market share was reduced to 7%. Its reaction to the Tylenol poisoning, with its emphasis on socially responsible behavior above immediate profits, was entire consistent with its ethical code of placing the customer first and shareholder interest second; by constantly reinforcing its credo at every opportunity, it serves as a fundamental value system that directs decision making at all levels. As a result, it appears as if the culture of J&J is particularly influenced by the importance of ethical behavior. J&J history has been based on their passion for making difference in the world and they aspire to take human health and well being to new levels, by putting ethics as a central role in the decision making at J&J and also by their financial strength and collaborative nature, it shows that Johnson & Johnson company its the best positioned company to do this
