PURPOSE OF JOB:
Ensure the strategic marketing and global brand image initiatives are represented in
business unit store environments in a clear, consistent way
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Drive differentiated retail designs
- Develop consistent, yet differentiated permanent and semi-permanent signage within a
retail environment to create effective in-store consumer communications
- Evaluate market solutions and give experienced design directions to market teams
- Communicate design strengths and opportunities to senior leadership
- Partner with the broader Innovation and Design center of excellence and lead
collaborative programs with other functional groups and project teams
Requirements
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- BA required
- 5+ years interior design experience
- Environmental branding or decor experience
- Experience working with both internal designers and external agencies
- Multi-dimensional and able to work at many scales
- Strong design management and communication skills
- Architectural design, signage design, interior layout and design

franchise and joint venture partners are driving growth by opening 90 percent of
our new international restaurants.
To provide support to YRI Technical group in new products development & core PH
ingredients assessment. and to help in product demos
• Support the Design and Development of Products and Ingredients while working in
cross functional team utilizing suppliers
• Assist with the development of technical specifications and job aids that are technically
sound and match supplier’s manufacturing capabilities and restaurant back of house
requirements
• Conduct Core Ingredient Cutting Sessions in order to assess individual supplier quality
(as needed) and to benchmark Global Quality (once per year for each core ingredient)
• Prepare for and support Product Demonstrations (QBR, Innovation Summit, Franchise
meetings etc.) as needed throughout the year
• Manage Test Kitchen Duties including inventory management, ingredient stock rotation,
equipment maintenance, the implementation of a cleaning program and ingredient
shipping (as necessary)
This position is responsible for the design, implementation and support of YRI Brands
RSC, Store, and Wide Area networks.
Design networking solutions, configurations, Provide 3rdlevel support of network
hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc). Evaluate new hardware and configurations
for equipment acquisitons, monitor and report network performance, develop and
document policy standards. Provide planning, leadership, direction and training.
Tactical Project support for New products and work closely with PSC’s on brand specific
development ,Equipment approval and testing for field, Technical services to field.
Coordinate and collaborate with domestic brands and International teams for
information, problem solving, and BDP sharing. Integrate equipment with OPS
engineering support
Manage supplier relationship for X-regional non-core suppliers to optimize the supply
system, and leverage YRI’s significant purchasing power on a global scale; Contract
negotiation, Account management, Issue resolution .
Provide Equipment supply support for key corporate initiatives, menu vision and PSC
driven new product development. This includes supply chain feasibility assessment,
recommendations on supply alternatives, proposals on product options, motivating
supplier participation and guidance on financial implications.
Manage the equipment component of the SCM website. This includes updating and
posting the approved equipment catalogue, sourcing tools and equipment supply
strategies
Assist with the development of equipment sourcing tools. These tools are intended to
promote BMU self-sufficiency and share best practices across market lines.
Serves as the hands on supply chain leader for premium development on assigned
chains and territories. Due to consolidation of chain processes, the role also influences
supply chain in non-assigned chains/territories for all five concepts both US and in over
100 countries….approximately 33,000 stores globally.
Can influence incremental restaurant sales
Encompasses cross functional interfaces - RSC and field: marketing, advertising, legal,
licensing, finance, program management, QA, distribution, as well as agencies and off-
shore factories, at all levels of management at YUM! up to sr. vice president and all
levels of agency and factory management, including senior level and ownership.
Manage supplier relationship for X-regional “other” food suppliers to optimize the supply
system, and leverage YRI’s significant purchasing power on a global scale
Contract negotiation, Motivating NPD support ,Account management ,Issue resolution
Coordinate the Asia and Americas Product Excellence Council. This entails gaining
consensus on the agendas, performing feasibility analysis on the initiatives, coordinating
supplier participation in business reviews, ensuring that the meeting participants are
adequately prepared for the meetings and coordinating follow up on project execution
once decisions are taken. This includes one formal meeting, several APEC “lite”
meetings and 2 formal conference calls per year.
Support adhoc requests from the field to resolve supplier issues, share best practices
and develop tool to promote self sufficiency.
Solution Identification
Identify global vendor solutions for point of sale, back office, and above store reporting
for YRI delivery restaurants.
Sales and Margins Effectiveness
Identify opportunities to drive additional sales through the use of delivery systems
technologies. Examples of this include internet ordering, call center ordering and
technologies, and SMS ordering.
Identify opportunities to increase margins through the use of delivery systems
technologies. Examples of this include driver forecasting, fleet management, forecasting
methodologies, labour scheduling tools, and waste management solutions.
Implementation Effectiveness
Lead the use of the YRI Request For Proposal process for delivery systems solutions
worldwide
Vendor Management
Lead the negotiation of global pricing contracts for global vendor solutions, in
conjunction with Yum RIS Project Management Office.
Relationship Management
Lead the development of POS, BOH and ASR systems strategy development for
delivery systems markets around the world.
Maintain consolidated three-year economic growth model for YRI. Expand and adjust
model as needed to reflect appropriate degree of business complexity, while preserving
ability to evaluate the impact of macro-level assumptions. Obtain growth assumptions
from the field, and evaluate reasonableness based on historical performance and known
market potential. Highlight opportunities and risks inherent in earnings projections. Build
and assess multiple scenarios. Track and update market-specific long-term growth
initiatives through communication with field.
Recommend Annual Operating Plan targets consistent with three-year economic growth
model, and assist with communication to field.
Perform financial analysis and secondary research to support strategic growth initiatives.
Drive financial reporting to support these initiatives, coordinating with other team
members as appropriate. Perform financial research and analysis to support the
production of key business updates, including Quarterly Business Reviews, Board
presentations, Strategic Planning sessions, and Analyst/Investor Conference decks.
Source, validate, and frame data across a wide variety of business measures. Suggest
and coordinate document edits with senior executives and corporate staff, ensuring
accurate and high-quality output.
In alignment with the BMU strategies anticipate the global cheese related needs across
the world and establish the strategic vision that will deliver the infrastructure required to
maintain YRI’s competitive advantage. These strategies should also address the variable
global trade environment while leveraging the benefits of Yum’s global scale. Additionally
these strategies should accommodate YRI’s NPD requirements
2) Manage supplier relationships for cross-regional cheese suppliers including a)
contract negotiation, b) account management and c) issue resolution.
3) Enable continuous improvement in quality and deliver cost reduction through
concerted effort with the R&D technology team. This requires developing adequate
supplier relationships that engender a spirit of mutual benefit.
4) Participate in the regional Product Excellence Councils with the intent of delivering
against the cheese and training initiatives prioritized by each of the regions.
5) Provide functional guidance to individual markets as required to develop local cheese
supply capability.
6) Develop and deliver training programs to drive supply chain capability across the YRI
system. This accountability contemplates harnessing the expertise resident in YRI’s
SCM personnel worldwide.
7) Develop and maintain a Knowledge and information transfer program that enables
best practice sharing across
YRI’s market lines.

Provides concept design support to international markets for at least one brand. Act as
key support interface with YRI Development & Concept leadership and the YRI field
design teams to assure that design standards are clearly expressed in all facility
standards and fully communicated to the field. Supports BMU Development function in
multiple markets by providing concept design consultation and training.
Provide field coaching/support for concept design issue resolution for at least one Brand.
Support Dallas Development function in implementing concept design standards.
Effectively manage all aspects of design projects from initial concepting thru design
development package production. Includes project scheduling and budget.
Develop training programs and deliver in-Market training for concept design standards
and consultant coaching and management. Manages external consultants as needed for
development and publication of concept design standards.
Conducts market asset reviews as needed and provides recommendations to field team
leadership for improvement.
Solution Identification Identify global vendor solutions for point of sale, back office, and
above store reporting for YRI QSR restaurants. These solutions should include tested
and proven components, including hardware; application software specific to the QSR
industry; installation service providers; service providers for hardware and software
support; and service providers for menu maintenance and help desk support. Success in
this function is measured by the availability of identified solutions and support models in
the majority of markets worldwide.
Sales and Margins Effectiveness Identify opportunities to drive additional sales through
the use of QSR technologies. Examples of this include kiosks, hand helds, drive-thru,
and digital menu boards. Identify opportunities to increase margins through the use of
QSR technologies. Examples of this include forecasting methodologies, labor scheduling
tools, and waste management solutions.
Implementation Effectiveness Lead the use of the YRI Request For Proposal process
for QSR solutions worldwide. Use this process to identify best pricing for hardware,
software, and services used in QSR markets around the world. Implement best practices
where possible to assure successful systems implementations in YRI markets. Success
in this area is measured by having every market who is selecting a new QSR solution
use the YRI Request for Proposal
