IT Project Manager
As a Project Manager, you would be responsible for the overall
direction and control of a project through a framework of planning,
coordinating, scheduling, evaluation, communicating and managing
work and resources. You will scope and deliver large projects in a
multi-tier application and infrastructure environment as well as
provide concise, meaningful status updates to all levels of the
organization including project team, management, and executive
sponsors. Successful candidates should have the following
knowledge, skills and abilities: managing application development
projects with cross functional teams; proven ability to effectively
lead large projects from inception through to implementation; and
experience with executive communications and interactions.
Programmer/Analyst
As a Programmer/Analyst, you will work with a team in support of
technical projects undertaken to analyze and grow the Lands’ End
business. Your successes will be determined by your ability to
integrate into a focused team, your delivery of high quality
solutions, and your development of innovative solutions in a results-
driven environment. These results include the participation in the
implementation of multi-dimensional database models, data marts,
data warehousing, data transforms, data analytics, and reporting
solutions. This position is part of a team responsible for production
support, system maintenance, performance optimization, and
interoperability issues. In addition you would be expected to
research, learn and implement new technologies. Successful
candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field
or equivalent experience and proven technical experience with
demonstrated ability in the following areas: knowledge of EDW
concepts; experience translating business questions into BI
solutions; strong analytical skills; and strong SQL coding & SQL
performance tuning.
Java Developer
As a Java Developer, you will work with a team in support of
technical projects undertaken to grow the Lands’ End business. The
key to your success will be your ability to maintain a sense of
urgency in being quality-focused, results-driven and self-motivated
while developing high-quality technical solutions to business needs.
In addition, you would be responsible for learning new technologies
and maintaining excellent documentation of work products.
Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a computer-
related field or equivalent experience and 0-5 years of proven
technical experience with demonstrated ability in the following
areas: strong Object Oriented background and strong
knowledge/experience with the following: J2SE & J2EE, Eclipse and/or
WSAD & SQL (DB2 and/or Oracle).
Security Analyst
The primary function of the Senior Security Analyst is to design and
implement network security solutions and processes for the
protection of information assets and to minimize internal and
external security risks to Lands’ End. This position will be involved in
a wide range of issues including the development of secure
architectures and methodologies utilizing security best practices,
encryption solutions, forensic investigations, large-scale security
event management, and enterprise identity management. Having a
strong understanding of incident response methodologies and
technologies is critical. Successful candidates will have
demonstrated ability in the following areas: familiarity with IT
Security and Industry related regulations (Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI);
ability to perform high and low level malware analysis and reverse
engineering; and experience performing IT threat intelligence
gathering and analysis.
Financial Analyst
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will serve as a financial business
partner to our growing International division. Utilizing your
knowledge of international currency and other international financial
practices, you will build partnerships within the division
management team, as well as the in-country Financial Managers in
the overall financial planning, analysis and budgeting efforts.
Additionally, you will play a key role in helping management identify
and understand the potential financial impact from various business
issues, opportunities and decisions. Lands’ End currently has
operations in the UK, Germany, and Japan, as well as international
responsibilities at the corporate level. Successful candidates will
have 5+ years of direct experience with demonstrated ability in the
following areas: experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and
planning as well as a solid understanding of accounting with
excellent financial/analytical skills.
Director of Circulation
As a Director of Circulation and Contact Strategy, you will be
responsible fore leading multi-channel contact strategy and
planning, including catalog, email, phone, package inserts, retail
POS and other customer-targeted touch-points. You will have
budgeting and forecasting responsibility for direct channel demand
and catalog expense as well as direct catalog marketing efforts,
including versions, page counts, timing, list selection, segmentation
and performance analysis/reporting. In this role, you will work
closely with Consumer Insights, Business Intelligence, Merchandise,
Planning and Finance departments. Successful candidates should
have a minimum of 12 years experience in direct marketing, catalog
and/or multi-channel marketing along with 5+ years in a supervisory
or leadership position.
Quantitative/Statistical Analyst
As a Senior Quantitative/Statistical Analyst, you will play a key role
in leading the design of business test analysis and statistical
prediction to support our customer marketing programs. Areas of
focus include statistical test analysis and customer-level regression
modeling along with performing ad hoc analysis of a complex
nature. You will work closely with the marketing and campaign
execution teams to drive testing initiatives and implement prediction
tools. You will be responsible for data analysis that generates
customer insights with recommendations to management. You will
also be integral in statistical testing that incorporates catalog,
internet, and retail data in an effort to optimize profitability levels of
the business. In this effort, you will work with business leaders to
determine key hypothesis statements that lead to a research plan
utilizing database research, statistical analyses, and comparative
reporting to address the business issues. Critical to your success will
be the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in
writing, with members of the management team as well as
statisticians and programmers within the team. Successful
candidates will have 3-6 years of quantitative/ statistical analysis or
technical experience with demonstrated ability in the following
areas: Masters degree in analytical-focused disciplines such as
mathematics, statistics, and operations research or equivalent
experience; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; and
advanced SAS and SQL programming experience, and experience
working with large databases preferred.
Business Analyst
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in leading
recommendations that drive strategic business decisions. You will
work with business executives to determine hypotheses and
problems to be solved, decide what analysis will provide the
solution, and lead the analysis process. You will interpret the
analysis results, formulate key insights and recommendations, and
present to stakeholders. You will work independently and manage
multiple projects with varying deadlines and priorities. You will also
provide project management leadership and help develop less
experienced business analysts. Critical to your success will be the
ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with
members of the executive team as well as statisticians and
programmers. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 3-6
years of business analysis or technical experience with
demonstrated ability in the following areas: excellent analytical and
problem-solving skills; an ability to quickly establish credibility with
business partners; and an ability to generate customer insights and
clearly communicate actionable opportunities.
Art Director
As an Art Director, you will collaborate with the Creative team to
interpret and articulate the Lands’ End point of view through unified
creative presentations for our various catalogs. This includes
developing and producing selling concepts and layout presentations.
You will be responsible for selling the Lands’ End product by
designing layouts that emphasizes the products’ benefits. In this
role, you will have a background in graphic design and photo art
direction. You will also be responsible for visually supporting
Internet campaigns. Successful candidates will have 5-7 years of
related experience, with demonstrated ability in the following areas:
strong experience in catalog, internet and specialty retail; art
direction, photo direction and graphic design experience; and a
demonstrated ability to conceptualize and implement ideas.
Supply Manager
As a Supply Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination
and aggregation of product/inventory needs including interaction
with Lands’ End Planners. Other responsibilities include the creation
and maintenance of production schedules, processing of purchase
orders, including communication to vendors, management and
execution of seasonal contingency plans, partnering with the
Sourcing team to ensure vendor on time performance, creation and
interpretation of reporting and performance analysis and the
management of risk inventory and fulfillment goals. Although the
Supply Managers will still look to their Senior Supply Manager for
guidance, they should be able to work independently with minimal
supervision. Successful candidates should have the following
knowledge, skills and abilities: previous relevant experience and/or
completed the training phase of the Supply role and are ready to
assume independent responsibilities; proficient understanding of
production scheduling, purchasing, delivery/distribution
management; and an understanding of common inventory
processes and procedures.
Planning Director
As a Planning Director, you will be responsible for the generation
and management of Lands’ End product forecasts and managing
inventory. You will interact on a regular basis with the Lands’ End
Merchants, Supply Management, and Sourcing teams and will direct
the strategic financial plans by category. Other responsibilities
include analyzing historical product performance and current
business trends to support seasonal merchandise/assortment
planning and identifying risk and opportunities by category;
conducting in-season performance tracking, reporting, and analysis;
and managing processes to meet risk inventory and fulfillment
goals. Successful candidates should have the following knowledge,
skills and abilities: experience in inventory management or related
positions; a solid understanding of common planning and forecasting
processes and procedures; and proven ability to understand
financial measurements and how to impact them.
Merchandise Manager
As a Merchandise Manager, you will be responsible for driving your
category through the product development process. Specific
responsibilities include financial planning, bottom line profit and
loss, development of new product, and evaluation of existing styles.
This person will work closely with Design, Creative, Quality and
Inventory on a variety of things, including: product content of each
catalog, quality and fit of styles and customer fulfillment. Successful
candidates should have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
buying or merchandising experience either in catalog, specialty or
department store environment; product development experience in
apparel; and excellent analytical, decision making and problem
solving skills.
Designer
As a Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing
product by interpreting concepts into finished product. This includes
developing themes, color, fabrication, and silhouettes for the
upcoming season as well as working with mills to develop original
textures and patterns. Other responsibilities include the
development of presentation boards and presenting lines in concept
meetings. They would also conduct raw material research, market
research, flat sketches and fashion illustration, detailed specs, and
fabric/trim research and allocations. This person would be
responsible for developing and coaching associate and assistant
designers as well as building and developing relationships with
Merchandising and Quality. They would collaborate with
Merchandising and Sourcing to achieve production execution. This
person will also be responsible for following the Lands’ End design
direction; adapting their design ideas into product that serves the
Lands’ End customer and drives the Lands’ End brand. Successful
candidates will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities: a
thorough understanding of textile construction, color and printing
techniques; ability to do flat drawings/sketches for design
prototypes; and be able to interpret trends and translate them to our
customer.
Technical Designer
As a Technical Designer, you will lead the technical product
development of Lands’ End products. The key to your success will be
your ability to maintain consistency of Lands’ End quality standards
through fit and pattern analysis. In addition, you would be
responsible for the development of appropriate construction
methods and maintaining accurate written product and
measurement specifications. Successful candidates will have a
Bachelor’s degree in Apparel, Construction or Textiles or equivalent
experience and 3-5+ years of proven technical product development
experience with demonstrated ability in the following areas: strong
fit and pattern-making skills; demonstrated knowledge of product
construction and components; and a thorough understanding of
product engineering and manufacturing processes.
