E/MCA FINAL YEAR REMOTE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: 2011-12


B.E/MCA BE- Teams must be of size 3 preferably. In some cases team size of 4 will be allowed. Teams to consist of 7th Semester Engineering students with aggregate marks of >=65% in semesters till date. MCA- MCA students would be allowed to take projects alone and eligibility criteria would be >=65% aggregate marks in MCA semesters till date. Selection Process would be held in Bangalore and would consist of : 1) Aptitude test 2) Programming Language, Data Structures, Algorithm Test 3) Technical Interview Selection would be communicated over e-mail Timelines: Selection Process and Internship Offers: September 2011-to-January 2012 Start of project: November 2011- February 2012 (based on academic requirement) End of Project: May 2012 Important formalities: A formal acceptance letter from the Institution, that this project would be submitted by the student as a Final Year Project as part of the academic requirements and Institution, would be required Formal Internship Letter would be given Non-Disclosure-Agreement must be signed. Mode of Execution o o o o Students to work in the infrastructure provided by the Institution Interaction with the MindTree Technical Guide Daily Activity Mail Status E-Mails on need-basis or weekly Bi-Weekly Progress Report Mails Telephonic Communication: Any number of Calls based on a need but scheduled 24 hours early by the Campus Minds or the Guide o Free flow of e-mails on all matters related to the Project Out-station teams can make a visit to MindTree Campus, cost of which would be reimbursed by MindTree- the date will be communicated to the teams by the Campus TA team. In-station teams to visit MindTree Campus based on a frequency setup by the Internship Project Guide. Support Required from Institution: Infrastructure Computers, Software, Communication Infrastructure, Computational Resources, Internet Emotional support to the students and motivation Formalities in terms of Letter of Acceptance as Final Year Project Regular interaction with MindTree Guide Internal Guide if possible Expectation from students: Dedication, Honesty, Sincerity, Interest, Integrity Initiative, Technical capability, Self-Learning, Tenacity, Going-beyond-the-stated, Problem solving orientation 30 hours per week for the entire duration of the Internship Project, additional hours when required Pro-active communication and timely escalation Proper usage of E-Mail and Telephone & adherence to standards of Corporate Communication Regular Status Reports and Timely completion and submission of deliverables Rewards: All Projects completed as per the MindTree Standards will earn a Certificate as required by the Academics 3 teams would be identified for the Best Project Cash Award of INR10000 and a Special Certificate Good performing Referral Teams would be presented with an offer to join MindTree subject to the Business realities next year
