education, food security and livelihoods (agriculture). Cross cutting themes will also be considered including law, public policy, economics, development studies and international relations. A gender balance is a priority for the Australian Government. The scholarship program will strive for equal representation of males and females. In line with the Australian Government's strategy "Development for All: Towards a disability-inclusive Australian aid program 2009-2014", AusAID is committed to offering educational opportunities to people with disability.
Development Scholarship Application 4. Paper based applications can be obtained through the Australian Embassy in Yangon 5. Gather the required documentation and information 6. Applications close on 31 May 2011. Language proficiency: Applicants must undertake one of the following English language proficiency tests and achieve the necessary results before the scholarship can be awarded: an IELTS Academic Test with an overall score of at least 6.5 and no band less than 6 (please note some Australian university courses may require higher results), or a TOEFL paper-based test score of at least 580, or a TOEFL computer-based test score of at least 237, or a TOEFL Internet-based score of at least 92.
