After the requirements are met, the membership list is compiled and is approved by the management. -People with an experience in logistics are listed. If a document matches the list with the list they have it in hand, the concerned authorities will approve it by reading the whole document carefully and issue it. 2.The document should be updated once every year and any necessary changes should be made and should be approved again by the top management -If we want to add a new person or remove a person in the list, we should update it accordingly and the revised one should be approved. 3.After every change we make, we need to give a revision status to the document so that it is easy to identify the status of the document. -For suppose, I made a revised list after making some changes in the document. I should give a status by writing '01' and so on add accordingly. (original list rev status :00) 4.Copies of the latest list should be circulated to all the people who need it and a track should be maintained. 5.The document should be easily readable and understood by every individual whoever is carrying it. 6.If there any documents needed from the external origin for planning and operation, it should be kept with the authorities and its distribution should be controlled. All the necessary revisions to these documents should be made annually with consent of the original owner. 7. In case of any revision/update in the list, the older copies become Obsolete and should be destroyed after receiving a copy of the revised version. If they are to be retained, it should be stamped "obsolete" and a record should be maintained. Chapter 3 Review Questions: 15. Companies that do not apply for the award commonly use the baldrige criteria for internal recognition or self assessment. When they do self assessment they will know the wrongdoings and they accelerate their improvement efforts by stimulating employees and they even learn from the feedback they get from external examiners and see where they stand. This helps to understand, evaluate and to improve the business. This framework is used by managers to exchange information and share their views regarding improvement by helping each other. Using Baldrige as a self assessment tool we can set high standards and compare the framework with the other organization. This criteria boosts up the company values in every level as they get to know where they stand and what more is required to achieve the values that the other company has.

Companies pursue ISO 9000 registration because of the following 1) Company serves an industry that mandates ISO e.g. automobile 2) Their customer is requiring it of their suppliers in an effort to develop their management system. 3) Improve the Consistency of Your Operations 4) To Improve Efficiency, Reduce Waste. 5) Achieve International Quality Recognition Benefits that registration can provide are : a)Providing Discipline: It is used to review its quality system and checking whether it is following the same routine. If not, the third party audit should make the correction. b)Basics of good quality system: It includes understanding customer requirements, reaching their expectations, ensuring physical resources that are necessary to meet the requirements and make sure the problems occurred are corrected. c)Offers a Marketing program: ISO certified organization gives a good impression to the customers and differentiates themselves with the other organization which are not certified.
