The Matrix Revolutions the last chapter of the 3 part Sci-Fi thriller of the Matrix Franchise is the greatest

movie nobody saw. Matrix Revolutions attempts to retell their version of history by mish mashing different
myths together to form a convoluted yet ever confusing combination of stories that when to put together
closely resembles the Book of Revelations of the Bible. Matrix's Jesus character is Neo, the 'chosen' one is
the 5th incarnate of the anomaly in the Matrix program that saves Zion from extinction and reset. Before
delving too deeply into the plot of the movie we must first go back and try to explain the back-story of the
movies. The saga starts off with the citizens of Zion in an epic struggle in their already storied struggle to
fight the robots from killing off the human race in the Matrix. The Matrix is explained as the unconscious
reality while the reality within the Matrix shows the machinery that runs the matrix and that is the
machines. The back story with regard how the machines created the Matrix is left to be explained as the
prologue to Revolutions Sequel which shows the machines taking over the earth after Artificial Intelligence
was perfected the Robots slowly gained power and began to use humans as energy sources for their
sustenance. The final battle between robots and humans mirrored the final battle in Revolutions but in this
battle the Robots one and gained control and used humans as their slave race to function as batteries
keeping them alive through the matrix, a program created by the Architect introduced in Reloaded as the
program that created the consciousness of every human creature and the Matrix Anomalies. Because
software inevitably has flaws because it's creators are human the architect himself could not predict the
software flaws that arose such as the Neo, The Virus, and Oracle. The Oracle is described as the helper of
the citizens of Zion in their quest for freedom from the Robots. The Oracle was an outdated program that
instead of being deleted from the Matrix stuck around as a utility program that guided Neo in his hero's
quest to find salvation for his body. Neo's wife is Trinity whom all his miracles are manifested upon, from
the kiss that revived his body from death, to his restarting of her heart after being shot. The helpers inside
the Matrix from the keymaker, The Oracle to the Gate Keeper can be seen as the apostles. Agent Smith can
be seen as the Devil, the reverse of Neo, who is seen as God, Jesus, Savior, and the creator of all things.
Because this story has a lot of Catholic symbolism let us first start with the name of Trinity. Trinity refers to
the three gods: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. The father of the Matrix is the Architect who is a software
program written by a human, The Son is Neo a software program who is only mirrored by the Devil Agent
Smith, the virus that acts like the Holy Spirit, because like God cannot be seen but his influence is
nonetheless unabsent. The name of Trinity is significant, because she is the link between The Architect,
Neo and Agent Smith, because his only motivation to find the Architect is to find the Source the master
program that runs the Robot contingent is "love", this intangible irrational innately human quality that is
responsible as the driving force of every human accomplishment. In other words, love creates in human the
force to strive for something better than ourselves that we risk life and limb to save it. Love is like a virus
which is double edge sword that leads men to it's greatest accomplishments but also leads it to its greatest
downfalls, the fall of the human race. Love for oneself is what caused the human race to fall into the hands
of the robots but love for the Human Race is the driving force for it's salvation. Agent Smith the virus also
loves an intangible quality and that is hate it infects every unassimilated program to become subservient to
it. It's original design was to keep Neo from becoming successful, however was changed when in Neo it
found the salvation from it's eternal restrictions when Neo entered the code of Agent Smith and shared with
him the code that let him live when he first died at Smith's hands. The first death can be seen as Jesus's first
death and his rebirth can be seen as Jesus's resurrection. The Judas can be seen as the person as one of the
twelve apostles on the Nebeccanezzar's ship that helped the robots take Neo to be killed. The second film
explained the many facets of the Matrix that was left out the in the first movie. For instance, the many
layers of heaven and hell are introduced. Within hell, purgatory is made clear in the Revolutions movie as
the train station and the gate keeper is Hades whose wife is Persephone. In the third movie the robots are
nearing finding Zion and Neo the savior's only hope to stop this is to strike a peace with the source to find
Agent Smith and destroy it from the Matrix, before it takes it over. Agent Smith is seen as the threat worse
than Neo at this point in the movie, because he has grown in power and his only motivation is evil in
contrast to Neo in his motivation which is love. Agent Smith in the final battle scene kills Neo by
assimilating him however because Neo is plugged into the Matrix where the Source is in control the Source
is able to take the Smith Code and use it against him and attack Smith through Neo thus killing Smith and
saving Neo. Neo like Jesus has God's power work through him and can be seen as the mediator, between
God and men for the salvation of Zion, God's first church. The finality of the movie is that Zion is saved,
because Neo was able to pay for the sins of his body Zion by dying and fighting off the Devil to live in
paradise with God, the Robots or the source, as seen as the light of day finally breaking, which according to
the Matrix has never been seen by the people of the Matrix.
