International Photography Contest "My Slovenia unexpected" on the Internet A birthday, let's celebrate! Especially when it comes to a "round" birthday, because it is so festive all year round! We, Slovenians abroad, we celebrate in our own way this important day, the 20th anniversary of Slovenia. So I had the idea to prepare a photo competition called "My Slovenia unexpected". With the help of the Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenes around the world, it is possible to see how Slovenia is beautiful and unexpected with this photo contest on the web. Regulation Each participant must have read it before the contest. The regulation is posted on the Internet and is available in four languages: Slovenian, English, French, and German. Participation: each person can participate by completing the form on the website. The author enters his coordinates: the e-mail address and warrants that he has read and agrees with the terms of the competition. He then activates an account on which he can put a photo and he can add up to two additional photos. A maximum of three photos per participant is allowed. Reception of the photos on the website: between Monday, July 18th and Friday, September 16th, 2011 inclusive Votes: from Saturday, September 17th and Sunday, October 2nd, 2011 inclusive. Participants: all adults around the world can attend, amateurs or professionals, nationality does not matter. Jury members are not allowed to participate in the contest. Age: can take part in the competition any adult over 18 years old. Number of photos: each author may send up to three photos in the contest. Techniques: color or black and white. Format for photographs: jpg. Sending photos: Photos can be sent only through the Internet at www.nenavadna-slovenija.ch. Remove photographs: photos which have been sent and on the site www.nenavadna-slovenija.ch can not be erased. Reception photos: each participant will receive a confirmation of participation and a number assigned. The latter will allow the organizer to inform the participants about the acceptance of his photographs. Thus, each winning entrant will be notified of the outcome of votes in the contest. Acceptance of the rules: the author gives the organization the right to dispose of the photo and he agrees that his picture be published on the Internet, whether published in newspapers, on a hard surface, or in various media such as television, with no reward.

Votes and Results An anonymous contributor allows us to reward the best photos received. The jury, composed of Dr. Dimovski Eva, Dr. Fatur Bojan, Koak Luka, Reginato Jasna, Suermondt Pavla, Weingerl Li will decide on the best photos received. First price: CHF 300.-, 2nd price: CHF 200.-, third price: CHF 100.-. Surfers will also be able to vote for their favorite photo. They will award three prices, each worth CHF 100.-. A price is also provided for the user who will guess the winner. It will be randomly selected between Internet users who voted for the winner. The price is CHF 100.. During the portion of the vote, each voter will have to register and vote only once for their favorite photo. It will not be possible to vote multiple times for the same photo. Proclamation of results: on the website, www.nenavadna-slovenija.ch, as of Thursday, October 6, 2011. Then, in the newspapers, on TV, on radio stations and on websites of other Slovenes' associations. The winning photographs will then be printed on a hard surface (40 x 60 cm) and presented for the first time during the festival season of the Mission of the Republic of Slovenia to the United Nations in Geneva and the Association Slovenes in Geneva in November 2011.
