A list of links to websites that will help you understand more about what CLIL is and the different ways it is being adopted in countries across the world. These websites give details on how you can get involved in CLIL and the resources and training courses that are available. The site keeps track of learning trends, technologies and tools in order to help other learning professionals understand them and implement them successfully in the classroom. There is a useful LearnTech News section, as well as a range of free resources including useful directories and lists of essential learning tools for the technologically-savvy teacher. http://educationforum.co.uk Education Forum provides a variety of resources and support for primary and secondary teachers. The site specialises in resources on history, sociology and sport. www.wordreference.com/ Word Reference is a free online translation dictionary. Fact World (www.factworld.info/) is a forum that supports content and language integrated learning and contains links to country reports, useful sites and contact details of key people in participating countries. There is also an e-group for this network at: www.yahoogroups.com/factworld

The TIE-CLIL project (funded through Socrates - Lingua Action A) promotes plurilingualism through the introduction of Content and Language Integrated Learning in five different EU languages (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish). The major aim of TIE-CLIL is to provide pre and in-service development programmes in CLIL for language teachers and subject teachers through building on existing knowledge of this field, to provide state-of-the-art understanding of theory and practice. www.eurydice.org Eurydice is an information network on education in Europe, gathering, monitoring, and circulating reliable and readily comparable information on education systems and policies throughout Europe. Among other things, the network provides information on foreign language teaching in schools. www.euroclic.net The website aims at bringing together as many practitioners, researchers, teacher trainers, policymakers so as to exchange information, experience and materials in the field of content and language integrated teaching. http://www.clilcompendium.com/ Provides an introduction to the CLIL system as well as some references for further study. http://clilcom.stadia.fi/ The website provides free customized support to help secondary and higher education teachers in CLIL. The user is given an eFolio that gathers objective feedback on the user's profile and other useful information. http://www.clil-axis.net/ This CLIL-AXIS toolkit presents options for adapting methods, models and practices to enhance the development of key competences for the new reality of working life. It provides insight into innovation and good practice on the integration of content, communication and culture in the world of education and work. http://www.cilt.org.uk The UK national portal for language offers news and varied information concerning language learning and teaching, contact details, lists of events and conferences, as well as advice on careers. http://www.becta.org.uk It offers extensive information on language learning, training and professional development, research and even a discussion group and inquiry service.
