PLEASE call and let us know ASAP. In addition to relieving our minds that you are ok, it helps us in managing the lesson horses as well as allowing us to know if there are spots for those of you who ask for makeup lessons.
Thank you to all those who have supported our barn by volunteering, sponsoring, cheering, and participating! We are looking forward to the last show of the series in September. Plan to join us! We always have a great raffle for charity at the show. If you would like to donate something please let us know! September 24 & 25 is coming up fast! As always, we need lots of volunteers for the September show. If you have volunteered in the past or if you are a first timer, we need you! Please let us know when you will be available to help. Email Flo Anne at ridgefieldarena@gmail.com or leave a note at the barn. We need help in the concession stand and ribbon stand as well as people to help with the jumps in the ring, runners for the office and judges, etc. Once again, thank you to all who have donated their time and talents to help our shows become great.
The Summer Lesson Show at Ridgefield was well attended and fun for all!
Off to College
Its that time of the year when we sadly send off some of our show girls to college. We hope they have a wonderful time and study hard! Alex Abele is off to Texas (Texas Christian University) and Haley Sanders is off to Arizona (Arizona State University), Cassie Vogt is off to Rolla and Chelsea Kraemer is off to Kansas State University. We were however lucky enough to have Kelley Dufour and Allex Oelkers stay in town for college.
Ridgefield Riding Academy held its first summer lesson show on July 16th. Many Exhibitors showed in the Grand Prix Ring that was judged by Miss Madison Games. Along with a day of showing, everyone was invited to a complimentary Bar B Que. The reviews from the exhibitors and spectators gave this event an A+ rating! A special thanks to Robin and Dave for the great cooking!
The goblins are out early this year. Who is this spooky character?
There was jumping going on everywhere you looked at the Queeney Productions show held July 6th 12th at the National Equestrian Center. Our Show girls were quite a hit. Congratulations to Karen Gentry with Tralala, Alex Abele and Bushido, Haley Sanders and Pas De Deux, Madeline Gentry Ryan and I Adore Theodore and Tracey with Barcelo. This group filled the stall drapes with over 4 championships!
