PARAMPARA 11th July
PARAMPARA is the annual welcome fest at NMIMS, where the senior full-time MBA students welcome the incoming batch. It is held at B. J. Hall and includes skits, fashion shows and musical performances by the incoming batch.

PARICHAY

16th July

PARICHAY, spanning 3 days, is a forum where the junior batch is introduced to the functional cells at NMIMS by way of the cell presentations and their events.

AUGUSTUS

4TH 12TH AUGUST

AUGUSTUS brings together all functional cell events providing a platform for one to meet and compete with each and everyone else. From culture to academics to sports to corporate, it incorporates various activities.

FAHRENHEIT

19TH & 20TH AUGUST

FAHRENHEIT was an experiment started as an event to organize cultural events within the rigorous programs undertaken by the students of NMIMS. Fahrenheit aims to be an extravaganza of entertainment, colour and spirit in true sense of a cultural festival. Engagement Module: Good platform to brand your company and product/services.Amidst the frenzy of the Cultural function the students come together and enjoy the festival in unison and it becomes the ideal situation for the brand pitch!

ECO - ECHOES

3RD 4TH SEPTEMBER

ECO-ECHOES is an effort by us to enable students of management to be aware of contemporary economics issues and provide them a platform to showcase their opinions on these issues through a variety of events both intellectual and fun. The events conducted under Eco Echoes 2011 will include: 1. Guest Session Series 2. Eco Shastra launch of our biannual journal 3. Eco Khoj the treasure hunt 4. Sports Week

11th 13th OCTOBER

Till last year, sports activities conducted by NMIMS was mainly Intra College but from this academic year onwards, the activities will be inter college including institutes like JBMIMS,NITIE and SP Jain. Engagement Module: Branding through our sports activity

CEO Series

14TH 15th OCTOBER

The event would entail a series of guest sessions from CEO's of reputed companies. It would be a back to back session of 6 CEO's from diverse sectors. At the end of the event we plan to have a panel discussion with paper presentation from students.

Engagement Module: Participation of your CEO in the CEO series and connecting with the audience who are your future employees.

SAMAVESH

16TH 17TH OCTOBER

In tune with the motto of Samavesh to assimilate and include we bring together the ideas and strategies of distinguished HR managers from diverse sectors of the industry. The two day National Event comprises a day of seminars and another day of events and workshops. The day-long event witnesses HR honchos from the industry deliver their insights into contemporary issues facing the corporate world & the role of the HR function in leveraging the Human Resources to drive the organisations on their quest for success. The event includes short speeches by industry experts, Student Vs HR debate, Panel discussions, and Paper presentations stretched in a days duration. The second day of events includes National level inter college competitions including Paper presentation, Case study, Online quiz and various on the Spot competitions. Engagement Module: Involvement through Guest lectures and Case study competition to involve the student and find solution to an existing business problem

PARAGANA

3RD WEEK OF NOVEMBER

Paragana is the annual business festival of NMIMS. It is the Flagship event of NMIMS. Through corporate seminars, events and pro-nites, it provides multiple partnership benefits like branding, employer branding, media branding and other deliverables (including posters, banners etc).Events can also be designed specific to the needs of a company to provide. Major attractions of Paragana include: Corporate Seminars is the major highlight of Paragana.It is a platform where stalwarts in the Industry come to express their opinions.Esteemed names like Mr. Subhash Chandra of Zee TV and Mr. Kishor Biyani of Future group have already graced the occasion and this event creates a buzz in the entire city Professional Play involves performance by a theatre group and serves as an infotainment activity for the audience Pro-Nite which may be either a rock show or performers night or a Dance and Fashion show competition Apart from the Major attraction we have the following events: 1.

SOLOMONS STRIDE
Amit Pandya, the famous corporate quizmaster of Bombay quiz club, sets the stage for a highly competitive event which attracts teams from the corporate as well as other renowned B-schools. Last year, the event saw around 60 teams take part for a nail biting prelims round followed by an exciting final round last time. The

participants had commented that this is one of the toughest corporate quizzes in Mumbai and there was separate score cut off for college teams so as to accommodate one team for the finals. The event is also a stage for NMIMS alumni to meet up. 2. SUTRA The Business Plan Competition SUTRA under the aegis of Paragana, The Annual Management Festival of NMIMS University. The main aim of this contest is to encourage people to present their ideas in the form of a structured plan which could be evaluated on all aspects of any business. Ideas from various sectors like Manufacturing, Services, and FMCG emerge resulting in a good variety of business plans. 3. MOOLYANKAN Moolyankan is a valuation based game where the first round of the event is an online quiz which saw the participation of more than 500 teams around the world, last year. 6 best teams were selected for the second round which was held in NMIMS campus. In the final round, each team was given a case study prepared by the students of NMIMS and the teams had to evaluate and present it to the judges from the industry and academia.

4. ADEATE Participants are provided with real-life marketing brief and it is expected out of them to come up with innovative communication ideas to drive the change in the status quo of the company. Last year, the event saw participation from more than 20 B-schools and around 80 teams. AD-eate was conducted for Harley Davidson. The participants worked on an innovative BTL activity "Pan-India Roadshow" for the company.

Some key highlights of Paragana2010 1. Strat-O-Sphear The event involves developing a strategy for one of the businesses of Religare. It is going to be one of the first video case study competition and your chance to interact with the CEO and develop a plan for RELIGARE 2. Last Marketer Standing You, as an Indian Railways Brand manager get a chance to revamp, recreate and redesign the services offered by Worlds 4th largest Rail network. 3. The Hulk Challenge for Hero Honda A ground activation in Infinity Mall which saw an amazing footfall

University Day

End of January

NMIMS holds a function to celebrate the University Day, every year. The theme for last year's celebration was 'Open Minds & Innovative Communities' with Mr.Subroto Bagchi, Gardener and Vice Chairman at MindTree, gracing the occasion Engagement Module: A branding platform to reach out to 8+ colleges and thus 10000+ students.

IT 20 20 : THE ROAD AHEAD

15TH FEBRUARY

This is global case study based competition. The case studies are given in the field of Information Technology by professors from prestigious foreign institutes like University of Florida, etc. The preliminary rounds are conducted at NMIMS to select the best team from NMIMS which represents the institute. The final round is conducted (in video conferencing mode) by the university/company involved. Engagement Module: International case and mention of your company name on the letter heads and as watermark on the paper used for case study

SADBHAVNA

24TH 25TH FEBRUARY

The theme for Sadbhavna'11 was Aavahan- a call for action. It was an appeal to one and all to join hands and bring a positive change in society. Aavahan was an urge to the youth to Create a Utopian Society, Contribute in Inclusive and Sustainable Growth and Conquer the devils of poverty, corruption and unemployment through myriad of competition and challenges including: WE CARE NGO Poster Presentation 'Laasya - Inter NGO Dance Competition Prayaas The Socio B-plan Mela Celebrating Creativity Paricharcha Clash of the Titans Chitralekhan Capture the moment Rang-Holi T- Shirt Painting

Abhivyakti the interdivisional Graffiti War Engagement Module: A myriad of activity which will ensure that the brand recall of the company increases.Also as the number of events are designed in an exhaustive way it will provide a different customer target for the company

Euphoria

March 1st week

Euphoria is a three day Annual Cultural Festival, held in first week of March. It garners wide participation, to the tune of around 7000-10000 students. The theme of Euphoria symbolized the very spirit of Euphoria to break free from norms and conventions and live life on one's own terms. The event witnesses a plethora of competitions ranging from a corporate quiz to music and dance events, to a short film competition with participants from corporates, postgraduate and undergraduate colleges across India. The festival created an atmosphere of exuberance and exhilaration. Euphoria has over the years established itself as one of the largest and most anticipated BSchool events in the country witnessing participation from over 10,000 students annually. Euphoria has played host to some of India's leading musicians and performers like Anupam Kher, Naseeruddin Shah, Paresh Rawal, Indian Ocean, Zero and Euphoria, among others. Engagement Module: The annual cultural festival will offer you a chance to show case your company to the students and registered in their minds.
