Your Excellency, In the name of thousands of Jewish and Non-Jewish (none affiliated) supporters of the State of Israel we are

asking your Excellency and/or your permanent representatives to the UN to think very carefully about the upcoming attempt by the Palestinian Authority to declare unilaterally a State of Palestine. A YES vote by your Excellency and/or your representatives will bring more innocent bloodshed in our area in the form of terrorist attacks - as we have witnessed during the past 60 years and most recently on August 18, 2011(when 6 innocent civilians were butchered by Palestinian Terrorists). The only solution is a negotiated solution between the parties. A Palestinian State will send the wrong message to the Palestinian people who have suffered from the unilateral decisions of their leaders in Gaza and elsewhere. If you vote YES you may have to explain to your own people how this vote will bring peace in an area controlled by Islamic Terrorists and funded by the Iranian Government. The only sensible vote is a NO vote to a unilateral Palestinian declaration. Some countries are under tremendous pressure by outside forces. If your country is threatened by such forces, you should abstain from voting and let the other free countries decide what is right and what is wrong. Find below some historic facts about this conflict. 1. There is a unilateral request by Palestinian representatives to seek a United Nations resolution to recognize a Palestinian state based on the 1967 lines, (that are in fact the 1949 Armistice Demarcation lines that was drawn to mark where the cease fire was declared after hostilities had ended between Israel and the invading Arab nations). This line was never intended to be the border between Israel and a proposed Palestinian state. 2. Article V1 "The Armistice Demarcation Lines (Ref:
http://unispal.un.org/UNISPAL.NSF/0/F03D55E48F77AB698525643B00608D34) defined

in articles V and VI of this Agreement are agreed upon by the Parties without prejudice to future territorial settlements or boundary lines or to claims of either Party relating thereto." 3. The claim to declare a Palestinian state based on these lines is contra to the legal binding League of Nations resolution that designated the entire area for a Jewish Homeland, and is still valid until today. 4. The San Remo Resolution (Ref: http://www.mtholyoke.edu/acad/intrel/britman.htm) signed in 1920 by the Allied parties: France, England, Italy and Japan designated the territory of the Ottoman Empire into Syria, Iraq and Palestine. Palestine would be controlled under the Mandate of the British and the resolution ratified the Balfour declaration that the Palestine mandate would be designated as the Jewish Homeland. 5. In 1922 the League of Nations proclaimed the "Mandate of Palestine" on the basis of the Balfour Declaration and the San Remo Resolution. (Ref:

6. The United Nations ARTICLE 80 reiterated that the "Mandate of Palestine" would still be valid even after the demise of the League of Nations. This ruling has been ratified by the International Court of Justice on 3 separate occasions in 1950, 1971 and 2004. 7. Therefore in accordance with Article 80, the United Nations cannot nullify Israel's right to build settlements in the "West Bank" and Gaza strip. All settlement activity is in fact legal, and within the designated area provided for a Jewish Homeland by the League of Nations: Except as may be agreed upon in individual trusteeship agreements, made under Articles 77, 79, and 81, placing each territory under the trusteeship system, and until such agreements have been concluded, nothing in this Chapter shall be construed in or of itself to alter in any manner the rights whatsoever of any states or any peoples or the terms of existing international instruments to which Members of the United Nations may respectively be parties. 8. Paragraph 1 of this Article shall not be interpreted as giving grounds for delay or postponement of the negotiation and conclusion of agreements for placing mandated and other territories under the trusteeship system as provided for in Article 77. 9. The Palestinian request for a homeland was answered in the creation of Jordan (Trans-Jordan) in 1922. 77% of the original area of the Palestine Mandate was handed over unilaterally and illegally by the British to the Arabs in contradiction to the original resolution that the entire area of the Mandate was designated for a Jewish homeland. This was the first partition of Palestine/Israel. Today 75\% of the Jordanian population is Palestinian including their reigning Queen Queen Rania. 10. The Palestinian's quest to garner support unilaterally is counter to the Declaration of Principals of the Oslo Accords that were signed on 13th September 1993 between the P.L.O and the State of Israel. The Oslo Accords state that a permanent peace settlement must be negotiated between the two parties namely Israel and the Palestinians. A Palestinian unilateral declaration would be contra to UN's resolution 242 which affirms the right of Israel to live in peace within secure borders. Basing a Palestinian state on the 1949 Armistice Lines leaves Israel vulnerable to further Arab aggression. 11. Israel, in the quest for a peaceful solution with the Arab population residing in the Judea and Samaria (West Bank) and Gaza Strip have on several occasions offered to relinquish land for peace. Recently in 2008, then P.M Olmert offered the Palestinians a settlement of 97\% of the disputed territory in return for acknowledgment of Israel as a Jewish State. 12. Israeli disengagement from Gaza in 2005 brought to power the terrorist entity Hamas, and a barrage of 12,000 rockets that were indiscriminately fired against civilians and violated the sovereignty of the State of Israel, without the passing of a single UN resolution against Hamas. 13. Consequently six wars and two Intifadas later whereby thousands were killed and maimed by terrorist activities, and Palestinian intransigence to negotiate a deal with current P.M Netanyahu should not be rewarded with statehood, illegally served on a platter, by the United Nations. 14. President Mahmoud Abbas Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and President of the Palestinian National Authority whose term of office has now expired, has on numerous occasions reiterated his racist intent that no Israeli presence will be allowed in Palestine.

15. The Arabs outright rejection of the various Partition plans (1938, 1947) should not be ignored, 63 years later is a bit late to realize their folly and demand to receive what they previously rejected. This will create a travesty of justice towards the Jewish people, and an unheard of precedent that for the first time in world history the aggressor and defeated party would be compensated retroactively as if 63 years of war and aggression had never happened. 16. The day that Arafat signed the Declaration of Principles of the Oslo Accords on the 13th September 1993, Arafat appeared on a Jordanian televised program and declared: "Since we cannot defeat Israel in war, we do it in stages. We take any and every territory that we can of Palestine, and establish sovereignty there, and we use it as a springboard to take more. When the time comes, we can get the Arab nations to join us for the final blow against Israel. 17. PLO executive committee member Zahir Muhsein during an interview with Dutch newspaper Dagblad De Verdieping Trouw on 31st March 1977 stated: "The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people. Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheba and Jerusalem." 18. Azzam al Ahmed, member of Fatah Central Committee stated during a interviewed by Egyptian Newspaper Al- Masry Al Youm June 2011: "Fatah has not recognized Israel. I challenge anyone who says otherwise, whether it's Hamas or others. Neither Fatah nor Hamas are required to recognize Israel."

We, the people of Israel, the legitimate guardians of our ancestral home for the past 4,000 years ask you to vote NO to the unilateral Palestinian declaration at the UN. Sincerely,

Dr. Abraham Abe Gill, Author, Entrepreneur and Creativity Lecturer In the name of thousands of Jewish and Non-Jewish (none affiliated) supporters of the State of Israel.
