INTRODUCTION: Due to the easy availability of almost all information on the internet these days, students are less and less motivated to come to the lecture rooms than ever before. Professors and instructors have to come up with ways to ensure a healthy participation from the students, and make sure that the classic student professor interactive relationship is kept intact. This in the some cases may be in simple forms like roll call, while in more interesting cases, can be formats like surprise quizzes, extra credit in class, etc. These things can however be very time-consuming. Valuable in-class time that could have otherwise been used for lectures need to be dedicated to attendance taking. In addition to all this, the attendances are entered manually and therefore are error prone. Now, theres a technology that can solve all this and MORE. Using Passive RFID, the task of taking a classroom attendance becomes just a single click of the mouse. EXISTING PROBLEM: Registration of all students attendance made in paper in every class. Loss of time for students and the teacher. Validation and insertion of data is done manually. Lack of knowing exactly the students who attended a particular class. More than 200 classrooms and approximately 3000 students.

PROPOSED SYSTEM: Automate the whole system of students attendance registration using RFID. Convert the students identification cards for cards tagged with an RFID tag. Installation of one RFID reader per classroom.

 Find a cheaper reader due the large number of classrooms.

This project can help lecturer to reduce the problem like that by design automatic attendance using RFID and student card. The project system was running by get the code of card student to compare with the database in Access. Graphical User Interface (GUI)

The system consists of micro controller, LCD, keyboard, memory, RTC, MAX232, thumb scanner module, relays, LED and buzzer indication.

WORKING: The system will consist of ARM-7 32 bit processor. RFID reader is connected to the system. when any student enter in the room his attendance will get mark The information will be also stored in memory, which will be displayed on LCD at particular exhibit. Attendance is send wirelessly to the teacher room. As gsm is connected to PC .our system will send message to their parents about arrive of student in college. The stored data in memory will send wirelessly to the teacher room. So that teacher can see the attendance on his PC and can be sending to the PC whenever required. LCD will be used to display different messages. Buzzer indication will be provided for access allowed/access denied etc. The keyboard will be used to enter user ID, to change user ID, for selecting modes, for pressing password for teacher etc.
