Prophecy
What is a Prophet? Prophecy in the Bible Elijah the Prophet
Prophecy is the foretelling of future events by a human messenger (prophet) under divine inspiration. Prophecy falls into two main categories: Prophecy about someone else, and prophecy about you. The first category stands as a supernatural witness to identify someone as a true prophet. The second category is a whole other story. For example, William Branham's prophecy that Los Angeles will sink into the Pacific Ocean is not going to directly impact someone living in Budapest. However, someone in Los Angeles who learns of this prophecy will have to make a conscious decision to believe or disbelieve the prophecy - and then either move or stay, accepting the consequences of either decision. In the Bible, the purpose of prophecy was greater than the events prophesied: it was to pronounce Divine judgment, direction, or mercy. The teachings of Biblical prophets were also seen as sacred, as a prophet could not proclaim true and false teaching - i.e. if God inspired their prophecy, he also inspired their doctrine. Famous prophets include Moses, Elijah, Isaiah, Paul, and John.
And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. (Revelation 19:10)
Seven prophetic visions seen by William Branham in 1933
In June of 1933, while preparing for a two-week tent meeting in Jeffersonville Indiana, William Branham experienced a series of 7 prophetic visions. William Branham said: The Lord Jesus spoke to me and said that the coming of the Lord was drawing nigh, but that before He came, seven major events would transpire. I wrote them all down and that morning I gave forth the revelation of the Lord.[1] The following is a summary of the seven visions and links to more detailed analysis of the fulfillment of each of these prophecies: 1) Mussolini would invade Ethiopia, and later come to a shameful demise.
2) Adolph Hitler would start the Second World War, and come to a mysterious end.
3) Fascism and Nazism would be swallowed up into Communism, and Russia would emerge from the U.S.S.R.
4) Science would advance to the point where cars would no longer require drivers.
5) American morals would pervert and decline considerably.
6) A beautiful, but cruel, woman would rise to great power in the United States.
7) America would be reduced to debris, craters, and smoke.

William Branham prophesied that the Vatican City would be destroyed by Russia in a swift military campaign. Unlike the U.S. aerial bombing of Iraq, the Russian bombing of the Vatican will obliterate the political system of the State, never to be replaced. William Branham also quoted many scriptures confirming the accuracy of this prophecy.
The Prophecy
And remember, I say this as God's prophet: The Russian empire will drop an atomic bomb of some sort on the Vatican City and destroy it in one hour. THUS SAITH THE LORD. Revelation 18:1-24
To understand the following scriptures in the context of the destruction of the Vatican, it must be stated that the Roman Catholic Church is identified as "Mystery Babylon" in the book of Revelation, which was written by John, Jesus' disciple. Mystery Bablyon is not a nice identification, and the Bible says nothing good about this city, or its works. For more information on this subject, see the articles written on the Seven Seals

Florida under water

On November 29, 1953, William Branham prophesied that Florida would one day perish beneath the sea. After seeing the devastation of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, or after watching Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth", it is no longer a mystery as to the many ways this prophecy could be fulfilled. Over 50 years later, National Geographic agreed, publishing an article revealing that global warming could sink the Sunshine State. "A 1meter (3-foot) rise would swamp cities all along the U.S. eastern seaboard. A 6-meter (20-foot) sea level rise would submerge a large part of Florida." The Prophecy
Christian friends, I know Florida is a hard place to catch. I was telling them in there. I...?... Really, but one of these days there isn't going to be any Florida. She's going to be sunk, and the things that you so worship now will perish. That's only eternal God can save you, so if you're not where you think you should be, or where God says you should be, that's the point. The Biltmore Hotel, Downtown Los Angeles, where William Branham prophesied that Los Angeles would roll into the sea.
William Branham had just finished preaching a series of meetings in Los Angeles in April 1965, when he was asked by the Full Gospel Business Men who organized the meetings to preach just one more service for them. So, on April 29, William Branham stood behind the podium at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, and preached a sermon called "Choosing of a Bride". Two notable things occurred during this service: 1. There was a steady stream of people leaving the building during the service who could not handle the severity of the preaching. These included the same people who had attended (and engaged in) William Branham's sermons in LA since April the 24th.

During this sermon, William Branham prophesied that the city of Los Angeles would one day slide into the ocean, and a new coastline would form at the Salton Sea.
The Prophecy
Thou city, who claims to be the city of the Angels, who's exalted yourself into heaven and sent all the dirty filthy things of fashions and things, till even the foreign countries come here to pick up our filth and send it away, with your fine churches and steeples, and so forth the way you do; remember, one day you'll be laying in the bottom of this sea. You're great honeycomb under you right now. The wrath of God is belching right beneath you. How much longer He'll hold this sandbar hanging over that, when that ocean out yonder a mile deep will slide in there plumb back to the Salton Sea. It'll be worse than the last day of Pompeii. Repent, Los Angeles. Repent the rest of you and turn to God. The hour of His wrath is upon the earth. Flee while there's time to flee and come into Christ." The Honeycomb and the Sandbar

Los Angeles is one of the largest cities in the world. It is also one of the only cities in the world with significant active oil extraction within city limits. The sediment in the Los Angeles basin is up to 6 miles (10 km) deep, and includes the following oil fields: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Combined with the danger of existing fault lines that Los Angeles sits on, the potential for a devastating natural disaster is scientifically plausible. Time Magazine[1] recorded the partial sinking of Long Beach in the 1950s, blaming the cause on excessive drilling in the area. Since that time, oil producers have been pumping water into the earth to replace the oil they extract. The only problem with this process is that water has different properties than oil, as residents of Daisetta, Texas learned in 2008 when the walls of an underground salt-cave (from which oil brine had been extracted) dissolved, creating a sink-hole 900 feet wide by 260 feet deep.[2] Between 1932 and 1960 iodine was harvested from oil brine extracted in the Los Angeles basin - raising the question of whether the water being pumped into the earth is currently dissolving structural minerals under Los Angeles. One problem with subsistence (the sinking of land) is that it can create mega tsunamis if they occur near water. History records the following mega tsunamis created by landslides: 1. 2. 3. 365 AD - 100ft waves hit Alexandria after an earthquake off Crete. 1792 AD - 330ft waves killed 15,000 villagers when parts of Mount Unzen, Japan slid into the sea. 1958 AD - 1,720ft waves destroyed Lituya Bay, Alaska, after an earthquake caused a landslide.
And, of course, the Salton Sea is about two hundred feet below sea level, and if that big churning, that earth swallowing in like that, with hundreds of square miles, hundreds and hundreds of square miles sinking into the earth, that'll throw a tidal wave plumb to Arizona. World Council of Churches

William Branham preached strongly against religious systems. The Catholic Church, as the first and strongest Christian denomination, is identified by William Branham as the Beast. The World Council of Churches, in the spirit of ecumenism (inter-denominational unity in worship), is identified as the Image to the Beast. William Branham's advice to Catholics and Protestants about their respective denominations and the worldwide ecumenical movement is "Stay away from it! Get out of it!" William Branham's made the following very specific prophecies: 1. 2. The World Council of Churches will agree with the Roman Catholic Church on the topic of communion, Rather than having all Protestants become Catholics, the various denominations will simply unite in a Federation.

The Federation of Churches (Catholic and Protestant) will force all independent churches to join in association, or be subject to closure.

The Federation of Churches will produce the antichrist, The Federation of Churches will persecute the true Christian Church, which will not unite with their system.
A stamp of the cross appears on the Host, the Catholic version of the passover bread. William Branham prophecied that the World Council of Churches would unite with the Catholic Church on the subject of Communion.
The Prophecies

The Catholic church says, "It is the body," and the Protestant church says, "It represents the body." ...They call it a mass; we call it a communion. A mass is hoping it's so. Fulfillment
William Branham did not state whether the Catholic and Christian denominations would reach full-communion or partial-communion. If he meant partial-communion, then regardless of official church policy this prophecy has in many ways already been fulfilled as some churches already offer interdenominational worship and communion, and many individuals no longer give any thought to crossing interdenominational barriers in worship and communion. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops issued the following statement on October 1, 1967: As a result of our conversations on the eucharist, we Roman Catholic and Lutheran theologians wish to record, chiefly and first of all, our profound gratitude to God for the growing unity on this subject which we see in our day.[1] In 1999, a "Joint Declaration on the doctrine of Justification" [2] was issued between the Lutheran and the Catholic Church. Justification was one of the significant doctrinal issues that gave rise to the Protestant Reformation, so this issue is significant, and opens the doors to further dialogue. Time Magazine Reports: In an interfaith age, Protestant and Roman Catholic clergy pray together and picket together, and hardly a church exists that has not been preached to by a minister of another faith. But there is a point where ardent advocates of ecumenism draw the line: interCommunion. Time, The Inter-Communion Barrier, Friday, Feb. 25, 1966 In 2007 the Catholic "Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith" (which, incidentally, is the successor of the "Holy Office of the Inquisition") issued a statement that: Jesus established here on earth only one Church and instituted it as a visible and spiritual community that from its beginning and throughout the centuries has always existed and will always exist, and in which alone are found all the elements that Christ himself instituted. [] This Church, constituted and organised in this world as a society, subsists in the Catholic Church, governed by the successor of Peter and the Bishops in communion with him. The World council of Churches responded to this statement with the following paragraph: "Each church is the Church catholic and not simply a part of it. Each church is the Church catholic, but not the whole of it. Each church fulfils its catholicity when it is in communion with the other churches." One Catholic Priest's interpretation (Jonathan Morris) of this Catholic document is that it is "an attempt to lay the foundations for eventual unity by clearly expressing the theological disagreements that currently divide Christian
communities.[and]...the Pope is not saying only registered, baptized Catholics can be saved," [3] One of the goals of the World Council of churches, which represents over 550 million Christians, includes "most of the world's Orthodox churches, scores of denominations from such historic traditions of the Protestant Reformation as Anglican, Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist and Reformed, as well as many united and independent churches", is to achieve "the goal of visible unity in one faith and one eucharistic fellowship." [4] That William Branham has prophesied that the Catholic Church will achieve communion with the denominations represented by the World Council of Churches may be encouraging to both Catholics and members of the WCC. What he prophesied about the result of this union, which is a far cry from encouraging, will probably be ignored until it is fulfilled.
The Mark of the Beast Identified

And remember, that we found without one mistake, that the mark of the beast is a mark of apostasy, that is, church members hanging to their church instead of walking in the Light. They reject Light, and there's nothing left by darkness (That's right.), both Catholic and Protestant. There is "a beast," and a whore," and she had "harlot" daughters. And these harlot daughters, when they broke forth, they were virgins from the Light of that day, and they organized and bringing people down here, back into here, making them the same kind of a thing that Rome was in the beginning. Prophecy of the Cloud

On December 22, 1962 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, just before 10:00 in the morning, William Branham saw a vision of Angels coming from the west in a pyramid-constellation. Shortly after this vision, William Branham moved his family to Tuscon, Arizona, where the vision was fulfilled, commissioning the final stage of his ministry.
The Vision: A Prophecy
The following quotes are taken from the sermon entitled "Reproach for the cause of the Word" December 23, 1962 and "Sirs, what is the time?" December 30, 1962, both of which were spoken in Jeffersonville, Indiana:
Part 1: Little Birds

Now, I have had many things to happen in my life, but I never had anything like that. I went into a trance...And I--I looked up, and kind of in the shape of a pyramid, standing before me, was little small birds, something like a half-inch long. And they were up at the top on the limbs, they was a--may say three or four, and the next--next limb had maybe eight or ten, and down at the bottom had fifteen or twenty. They were little warriors, because their feathers was beaten; and looked like they were trying to talk to me, saying something. Sermon: "Reproach for the cause of the Word"
Part 2: Near Tucson

For it made it so purpose that He didn't want me to fail to see where it was at, I was picking a sand burr off of me from the desert. And I said, "Now, I know this is a vision, and I know that I'm at Tucson. And I know that them little birds there represent something." And they were watching eastward. And all of sudden they taken a notion to fly, and away they went eastward. Sermon: "Is this the sign of the end, Sir?"
Part 3: Doves
And as soon as they left, a constellation of larger birds came. They looked like doves, sharp pointed wings, kind of a gray color, a little lighter color than what these first little messengers was. And they were coming eastward swiftly. Sermon: "Is this the sign of the end, Sir?"
Part 4: The Blast

And no sooner than they got out of my sight, I turned again to look westward, and there it happened. There was a blast that actually shook the whole earth. Sermon: "Is this the sign of the end, Sir?"
Part 5: The constellation of Angels

I was still looking westward. And way off into eternity I saw a constellation of something coming. It looked like that it might've been little dots. There could've been no less than five, and not more than seven. But they were in the shape of a pyramid, like these messengers coming. And when it did, the power of Almighty God lifted me up to meet them. I could see those Angels, those shaped-back wings traveling faster than sound could travel. They come from eternity in a split like a twinkling of an eye, not enough to bat your eye, just a twinkle. They were there. I didn't have time to count. I didn't have time, no more than just look. Mighty ones, great powerful Angels, snow white, wings set in head, and they were "whew wheeew," [Brother Branham illustrates--Ed.] and when it did, I was caught up into this pyramid of constellation. Part 6: Interpretation
By the help of God, I'll be here when this thing is finished and preach the Seven Seals;
'I'm asking you the question. It blasted with thunder when this voice rung out. Did you notice that when the seven seals, that followed the seven church ages; when the first seal was opened, that there was a thunder? The first seals in the Book was opened, there was a thunder. Could it be that? The mighty thunder, or the seventh angel in the seven constellation, seventh period constellation, the pyramid made in a form, three on a side, and one on top, and they dropped from eternity. Could it be? Is this the mystery of the thunders that will bring back the Headstone?... And you know, the pyramid never was capped. The Headstone's yet to come. It's been rejected. Could it be, brethren, sisters? Or is this that third pull that He told me three or four years ago? Notice, the first little flight: hand. The second was greater, whiter, doves: Holy Spirit revealing the secrets of the heart. And the third flight was angels, not birds, angels. And that's the end time. The Seven Seals

And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. (Revelation 5:1) The Seven Seals are the Rosetta Stone of the book of Revelation: they deal with God, the Devil, the antichrist, Jews, Gentiles, Christians, and non-Christians. The first key of understanding the seven seals is that each seal identifies a religous disturbance. Revelation Chapters 4 and 5 come between the message to the seven churches and the Seven Seals, and set the stage for the characters that appear in the Seven Seals.

And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. (Revelation 5:2-7)
The Lion of the tribe of Judah, which is the Lamb of God, which is the Lord Jesus Christ, is the only one worthy to open or look upon the book sealed with seven seals. He is the one who opens each of the seven seals.
The Four Beasts

And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, (Revelation 4:6-9)
The four beasts are four angels around the throne of God. These angels appear in each of the first four seals, revealing God's presence within each of these Seals. Like the Bible itself, it is the Lord Jesus Christ who is the topic of the book sealed with Seven Seals, even though much of the seals discuss his adversary, the Devil.
The Seventh Seal

And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. (Revelation 8:1) In Matthew 24, Jesus was asked three questions:

Jesus responds by talking about the first six seals, but omits any discussion of the seventh seal. We have done the same. There is great purpose in silence. ''And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing. (Mark 15:3)

In the 1940s, William Branham saw a vision of a young boy being raised from the dead after being hit by a car. Rather than keeping the details of this vision a secret, William Branham retold this vision during various campaigns, including his Canadian campaigns in the 1940s, and told people to write the vision down in the fly-leaf of their Bibles. This vision was finally fulfilled in 1950 in Finland. The boy, Kari Holma, was killed in an automobile accident, and was restored to life by the prayers of William Branham as instructed in the vision. The following is an article by William Branham that appeared in a special overseas edition of The Voice of Healing magazine, published in June, 1950.
The Vision

One morning at about 3 A.M., I was awakened out of my sleep to find that the angel of the Lord was in the room to show me a vision. By the spirit I was transported in the vision to a scene where an accident had just happened. I saw that a little boy of about eight or ten years of age had been killed. He had light brown hair and his clothes looked very ragged and torn. Some men were taking the child to a hospital or funeral home. It was at that moment that the angel of the Lord told me to kneel and pray that the childs life would return to him. That I did, and life was restored and he lived. Now this vision is to come to pass in the future. I have told it to hundreds of people all the way from Canada to Florida. Many have written it on the flyleaf of their Bible. About two weeks after the vision appeared to me, I was telling it to a crowd of people at a tent meeting in Miami, Florida. The next evening when I was coming to the service, I was taken to a crowd of people waiting just behind the tent. They had a little boy about five years old that had been drowned that morning in a canal. But when I saw the child I said it was not the boy I had seen in the vision. So I offered a prayer of sympathy for the family.
Fulfillment: A Boy Dies

It was in Kuopio, Finland, when the Lord Jesus fulfilled the vision that He had shown me some two years before. It was that of a little boy with light brown hair which was raised from the dead. I was with a group of ministers, who were coming down from a mountain where we had been praying and singing hymns. Among the ministers were Brother Gordon Lindsay and Brother Jack Moore, whom I am associated with. A motor car some 300 yards ahead of us struck a little boy, throwing him to the ground, and then ran over him with such force that it threw him back near the sidewalk.
Fulfillment: A Boy is Resurrected

Brother Jack Moore picked him up and brought him back into the car with us. We saw that he was dead. I looked at the little boy and thought I recognized him. Then I remembered that he was the little boy I had seen in the vision, who was eight or ten years old, with light brown hair and who was poorly dressed. I held him to my body and began to pray. Suddenly his life came back.
The Mystery of the second child

Arriving at the hospital, we were surprised to learn that the car had struck another little boy, and had knocked him to the other side of the road. We had not seen him because he was hidden from our view, and another car had picked him up and rushed him to the hospital. After two days he was still unconscious. The parents of both children came to the hotel to see me. The father and mother of the first boy were so happy because the Lord had given life back to their son according to the vision that He had showed me.
The second boy that was also hurt in the accident
But with sadness the other parents looked at me and said, What about our boy? Is he going to live? I replied that I could not say. But they answered, You have told the other parents that their boy would live; cant you say something for our boy? But I said that I could say nothing until the Lord showed me. Then they began to weep. I then asked the parents if they were Christians. They replied that they belonged to the church but were not saved. I then asked them if God saved their boy, would they serve the Lord all their days and teach the child to do so. With tears they answered that they would. Then we all knelt and prayed. I said in my prayer, Father, please have mercy on us and save their son. Then I returned to my room. The news was brought to me about that time that unbelievers standing by at the scene of the accident, when the boy was killed, had said, There is the divine healer from America whom they are all talking about. Now let us see what he will do. When they heard that the dead boy was raised, then they said, "Why doesnt he do something for the other boy who has been unconscious for two days?" That is what my interpreter, Sister Isaacson, reported that the people were telling the parents of the child that was dying in the hospital. I then said to Sister Isaacson, "I can do nothing until God shows me what to do That is what Jesus said in John 5:19. I can only pray." That night I prayed again for the boy. The report came from the hospital the next day that he was just barely alive, and life seemed to be going fast.
An Angel of Mercy for the Second Child

The following evening, after returning from the service, I was in my hotel room. The angel of the Lord came into my room. Before me were placed two Easter flowers, one leaning to the south and another to the north. That is just the way the boys bodies fell when the car struck them. The one toward the north was the one they took up dead, and the Lord healed. The other one to the south was the smaller lad, who was still unconscious these three days. Then the flower toward the north sprang up at once, strong and alive, but the other one toward the south was fading away and dying fast. The angel made me to understand that the vision represented the two boys.
Then he showed me two pieces of candy which had just been given me before I came into the room. The angel said, Take one piece and eat it. I did, and it tasted good. Then he said to me. Take the other piece. But the second piece did not taste just right, and I started to take it from my mouth. But the angel seemed to say, If you do that the other boy will die. So I quickly ate the other piece. Then the flower was alive again in the other vision. When the vision was over, I hastened to the room of Brother Lindsay and Brother Moore. I said to my brethren, Thus saith the Lord concerning the boy. Then I repeated the vision to the others of the party. I said, God showed me another vision three weeks before in London, and it came to pass perfectly. So this vision also shall come to pass. The boy shall live. Sister May Isaacson, the interpreter, tried to call the parents of the boy and tell them what I had said, but they had gone to the hospital, for it had been told them that the boy was dying. But when they arrived at the hospital, they discovered that something had happened. The lad had awakened out of his unconscious condition. When they reported this to Sister May, she asked, What time did this happen? They said, While we were watching for him to take his last breath, he suddenly became conscious. It was 10 oclock at the time. When the doctors examined the boy, they reported that he would be all right. After checking the time of the vision, I found that it was just 10 oclock when the angel of the Lord had come into my room. All praise to the power of Jesus Name. Let angels prostrate fall. Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all!

Over two years prior, on November 2, 1947, William Branham described this light that followed his ministry. It appeared to me many times in a form of a--of a star. I've seen it many times. But when it came visible, it was a Man that would seemingly would weigh two hundred pounds. A little over two years ago now, I was sitting in the room. I was reading my little Scofield Bible, and I heard something. First, I saw a Light. And I thought it was an automobile that turned the corner. But it turned, but it got brighter. And I looked out the door and there was no automobile. Then I heard something coming like this, going... [Brother Branham knocks on the podium four times.--Ed.] walking. And I looked, and the Light got greater. And just above me hung a great Star. And the Light was kind of a, more of a green, between green and yellow, shining on the floor. And coming walking through this Light, came a Man that looked like, as I said before, would weigh two hundred pounds, a huge Man. Ohio River flood of 1937

William Branham prophesied in 1936 that a flood would cover Jeffersonville and New Albany, Indiana, and that the water would rise 22 feet over Spring Street. Many people ridiculed William Branham, with even the old-timers recalling that the flood of 1884 was only 6 inches over Spring Street. William Branham retold this prophecy and the events of the flood in 1961 in the sermon "Revelation Chapter 4": Predicting that flood would come, I said, "I seen them measure twenty-two feet over Spring Street down here." Old Brother Jim Wisehart and them laughed at me. You remember that, Brother George? He said, "Oh, Billy, in '84 it only was about six inches on Spring Street." I said, "I seen a man come down from the skies, and take a measure stick, and stick it there on Spring Street, said twenty-two feet." He said, "You're just excited." I said, "I'm not excited. It's THUS SAITH THE LORD." Ask them how many feet was over Spring Street: twenty-two feet to the inch. Exactly. And that old Bible where I had been preaching on that night... She started raining, the floods breaking through and so forth, and this old church... The seats went right straight up to the ceiling, the Bible went right straight up to the ceiling, washing through here with all that water raising it up. The pulpit went right straight up. They come
right down; and every seat set right back in the same place, and the Bible laid right back in the same place, and all that water, and still opened up, the same chapter at the same place. "Heavens and earth will pass away, but My Word shall never pass away."

I was playing marbles with my little brother. And I thought I'd got sick, some real funny feeling came on me. And I went and set down by the side of a tree. And I looked down at the river, and there went a bridge, a big, great big bridge going across the river. And I counted sixteen men that fell off of that bridge and drowned. And I went and told mother. And I told her I seen it. And they thought I was crazy or something. They thought I was just at a little nervous hysterical child. Fulfillment
The George Rogers Clark Memorial Bridge is a four-lane cantilever bridge crossing the Ohio River between Louisville, Kentucky and Jeffersonville, Indiana, carrying US 31. It was designed by Paul Philippe Cret of Philadelphia, and construction began in June 1928 by the American Bridge Company of Pittsburgh at a cost of $4.7 million. It opened to the public in October 31, 1929, then called the Louisville Municipal Bridge, and operated as a toll bridge. The bonds that financed the construction were finally paid off in 1946, and the tolls were removed. In 1949, the bridge was renamed in honor of George Rogers Clark, recognized as the founder of Louisville. The bridge was rehabilitated in 1958, and is still in use today.
New Albany Prophecy

A voice spoke to William Branham when he was just a toddler, and said You will live near a city called New Albany. Asking his mother about this, she was shocked, as New Albany was over 100 miles away from their residence in Burkesville, Kentucky. William Branham's father, who was on the run from the law in the State of Kentucky, sent the family a letter when William Branham was three years old calling them to Indiana, where they settled a few miles from New Albany. William Branham retells this story in a few short words: And then I remember one day the spring (this little cabin) was just behind the house. And--and during that time after... There's nine... eleven months difference between me and my next brother, and he was still crawling. And I had a big rock in my hand, and I was trying to show him how hard I could throw this rock in the old mud, where the spring had run out of the ground and made the muddy ground. And I heard a bird, and it was singing up in a tree. And I looked up to that tree and the bird flew away, and, when it did, a Voice spoke to me. Now, I know you think I could not think and remember that. But the Lord God Who's Judge, the earth and the heavens and all there is, knows that I'm telling the truth. That bird, when it flew away, a Voice came from where the bird was in the tree, like a wind caught in the bush, and It said, "You'll live near a city called New Albany." And I've lived, from the time I was three years old until this time, within three miles of New Albany, Indiana. I went in and told my mother about it. Well, she thought I was just dreaming or something. Later we moved to Indiana and Father went to work for a man, Mr. Wathen, a rich man. He owns the Wathen Distilleries. And he owned a great shares; he's a multimillionaire, and the Louisville Colonels, and--and baseball, and so forth. And then we lived near there. Young American Christians consume Rock and Roll with an addicted passion. One evangelist, Todd Bentley, integrates mosh-pit parties with prayer for the sick. Todd, who ironically claims to have been given the healing mantle of William Branham, has obviously never heard William Branham's prophetic vision of how Rock and Roll would degrade the church. This prophecy, as retold in the sermon The Rapture, is reproduced below: I seen the preview of the Bride. I stood there and seen a beautiful little lady just correctly dressed and things, marching this way. There was Somebody standing by me in the vision, and I seen they said, "The preview of the Bride." I seen Her go by. They come on this side and went around. ...Oh, my. And then I heard a rock-and-roll coming; and it was Miss America, the church. And she didn't even have on any clothes. She had papers, like newspapers, gray, holding in front her, dancing by rock-and-roll: Miss America the church. I stood there in His Presence. I thought, "Oh, God, as a minister, if that's the best we could do, oh, oh." You know how you feel. Then I thought, "God hide me; if I could just get away from here. If all that we've done, and that's what we have to produce, if that's what..." And then when them women passed by, all doing all kinds of rocks and things, and short hair, and painted faces. Let me--let me fade away," and like that. And as soon as it went out--every time one of them would come, they'd go out to a certain place and drop off, and I'd just the sound of it as it went away. And then I heard something like a "Onward Christian Soldiers." And I looked, and here come that sainted bunch of little girls just exactly the way they was, all correctly dressed, their hairs hanging way down on their back, smooth, clean, marching like this to the step of the Gospel. She was the Word. And it looked like one out of every nation. I was looking at it as they passed by, and seen them pass by. Instead of
going down, they started going up. And I noticed one of them trying, two or three of them trying--getting out of line; I screamed, "Stay in line." And the vision left me, and I was standing in this room screaming, "Stay in line."

Seven prophetic visions seen by William Branham in 1933
In June of 1933, while preparing for a two-week tent meeting in Jeffersonville Indiana, William Branham experienced a series of 7 prophetic visions. William Branham said: The Lord Jesus spoke to me and said that the coming of the Lord was drawing nigh, but that before He came, seven major events would transpire. I wrote them all down and that morning I gave forth the revelation of the Lord.[1] The following is a summary of the seven visions and links to more detailed analysis of the fulfillment of each of these prophecies:

Mussolini invades Ethiopia

In June 1933, William Branham experienced a series of seven prophetic visions. In the first vision, William Branham witnessed Benito Mussolini brutally invading Ethiopia and then himself coming to a shameful demise. THIS
VISION HAS BEEN COMPLETELY FULFILLED.
This prophecy seemed out of step with World politics in 1933, as Mussolini had ruled Italy since 1922 with little or isolated opposition, he had signed a concordant with the Catholic Church four years earlier recognizing the Italian State and an independent Vatican, and he had opposed the rise of Hitler in Germany. It was only after Mussolini's crusade in Ethiopia was opposed by the League of Nations that the Italian-German allegiance materialized. Mussolini and his mistress were finally shot by Italian Communists on April 28, 1945, and their bodies were placed on display on meat hooks in the Piazzale Loreto in Milan the next day.

Invasion of Ethiopia
The nation of Ethiopia is mentioned a number of times in the Bible. The Queen of Sheba (possibly Ethiopia) met with Solomon c. 950 B.C. (I Kings 10:1), and the treasurer of Ethiopia (a eunuch serving under Candace, Queen of Ethiopia) was baptized by the disciple Philip (Acts 8:27).
Italian Empire in 1940
Frumentius, once a slave in Ethiopia, returned as a missionary and baptized King Ezana, who declared Ethiopia a Christian nation in 340 A.D.[1] Ethiopia developed in relative isolation from European Christianity until 1508 A.D., when Portugal and Ethiopia established diplomatic relations. By 1624 the Portugese influence resulted in the conversion of Emperor Susenyos to Roman Catholicism. However all Europeans, Jesuits, and Catholic converts were expelled in 1632 by Susenyos' son, Emperor Fasilides, who had read of the Jesuits' bloody inquisitions in other nations. By the late 1880's, many European nations were scrambling to claim portions of Africa as colonies. Italy purchased Eritrea from an Afar Sultan (a vassal of the Ethiopian Empire), which led to various battles between Ethiopia and Italy. Italy also claimed part of the bordering nation of Somalia. In 1896, at the Battle of Adowa, Ethiopia shocked the world by defeating Italy, which resulted in a treaty of peace on October 26, 1896. In September 1934, Italy affirmed its 1928 treaty of friendship with Ethiopia, although the borders between the countries were unclear. At the same time, however, Italian troops began amassing in Italian Somaliland. On October 3, 1935, 100,000 Italian soldiers and a number of Askari attacked Ethiopia from Eritrea and Italian Somaliland without a declaration of war. On October 7, the League of Nations unanimously declared Italy an aggressor but took no effective action. Mussolini is reported as issueing the following commands to his soldiers:

Besides lacing bombs with mustard gas, the Italians instituted forced labor camps, installed public gallows, killed hostages, and mutilated the corpses of their enemies. Captured guerrillas were thrown out of airplanes in mid-flight, and Italian troops photographed themselves next to cadavers hanging from the gallows, and hanging around chests full of detached heads. The war lasted 7 months, with Ethiopia outmatched by Italy in armaments and brutality. The Italian king, Victor Emmanuel III, was proclaimed the new emperor of Italian East Africa on May 9, 1937 (which merged Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somaliland into a single state). The Italians showed favoritism to non-Christian ethnicities (i.e. non-Ethiopian Orthodox and Protestant people) such as the Oromo, Somali, and other Muslims (some of whom had supported the Italian invasion) in an attempt to isolate the Amhara, who had supported Emperor Haile Selassie. With Pope Pius XI silent on Mussolini's unprovoked and terrible conquest of Christian Ethiopia, the bloody Inquisition feared by Emperor Fasilides in 1624 A.D. had finally materialized. On June 30, deposed Ethiopian Haile Selassie made a moving speech before the League of Nations in Geneva in which he set forth two choices--support for collective security or international lawlessness. He warned that "It is us today. It will be you tomorrow". As a result of the League's condemnation of Italy, Mussolini declared the country's withdrawal from the organization. In June 1940 Italy entered World War II on the side of Germany. As a result, Britain sought to cooperate with Ethiopian and other forces in a attempt to dislodge the Italians from Ethiopia and from British Somaliland. Ethiopia was finally liberated from Italian control in East African Campaign in 1941. [edit]
Mussolini's Demise
On April 27, 1945, Mussolini and his mistress, Clara Petacci, were caught by Italian communist partisans near the village of Dongo (Lake Como) while attempting to escape into Switzerland before the Allied armies reached Milan. On April 28, Mussolini, his mistress, and their fifteen-man train (mostly ministers and officials of the Italian Social Republic) were taken to the small village of Giulino di Mezzegra, and shot. The next day the bodies of Mussolini and his mistress were found hanging upside down on meat hooks in Piazzale Loreto (Milan). The corpse of the former leader became subject to ridicule and abuse by many. Hence, fulfilling the prophesy of Mussolini coming to a shameful end. [edit]

Siegfried Line
The Siegfried Line, called the Westwall by the Germans, was a defense system stretching more than 630km (392 miles) with more than 18,000 bunkers, tunnels and tank traps. It went from Kleve on the border with the Netherlands, along the western border of the old German Empire as far as the town of Weil am Rhein on the border to Switzerland. More with propaganda in mind than for strategic reasons, Adolf Hitler planned the line from 1936 and had it built between 1938 and 1940. Battles along the Siegfried line include the Battle of Hurtgen Forest (Sept. 19, 1944 - Feb. 10, 1945; 33,000 estimated American casualties, 9,000 estimated German casualties), the Battle of Aachen (Oct. 1944, 5,000 estimated American casualties, 5,000 estimated German casualties), and Operation Market Garden (3,500 American casualties, 6,484 British Casualties, and 4,000 8,000 German casualties). Other major offensives across the Siegfried Line that did not include the American forces, including the Battle of the Schelt and the Battle of Moerbrugge (both led by Canadian forces), were Allied successes with few casualties and large numbers of German soldiers captured as POWs.
One reason so many American soldiers perished in the Battle of Hurtgen Forest was the German method of bombing, and the American soldier's method of defense. Ernest Hemingway, who was there, described the battle as Passchendaele with tree bursts. Tree bursts is a technique of using artillery shells that burst in the treetops causing hot metal shrapnel and wood fragments to rain down. Since American soldiers had been trained to fall prone when artillery fired, this technique proved particularly deadly until American G.I.s learned instead to "hug-a-tree" during bombardment. Passchendaele was a reference to a terrible battle in the first World War. [edit]
Hitler's Mysterious End
Adolf and Eva Hitler committed suicide together on April 30, 1945 at the Fhrerbunker in Berlin. Eva was Adolf's long-term mistress whom he had finally married on April 29, 1945. After much debate, most historians have concluded that Hitler shot himself in the right temple while simultaneously biting into a cyanide capsule, while Eva died from cyanide. Their corpses were doused with gasoline by other Fhrerbunker aides in the Reich Chancellery garden just outside the bunker's emergency exit, and set alight as the Red Army advanced. These charred remains were found by the Russians and, to avoid any possibility of creating a potential shrine or rallying point for the Nazis, were secretly buried at the SMERSH compound in Magdeburg, East Germany. In April 1970, when the facility was about to be turned over to the East German government, the remains were reportedly exhumed and thoroughly cremated. According to the Russian Federal Security Service, a fragment of human skull stored in its archives and displayed to the public in a 2000 exhibition came from the remains of Hitler's body uncovered by the Red Army in Berlin, and is all that remains of Hitler; however, the authenticity of the skull has been challenged by many historians and researchers. German authorities officially released the location of Hitler's bunker in June 2006. The bunker was destroyed by Soviet troops after the war and filled with concrete, however, it was feared that identifying the location of the bunker might provide neo-nazis and other right-wing extremists with a memorial or rallying point. The bunker lies within a quarter of a kilometer of Berlin's Holocaust Memorial, and currently serves as a parking lot. While much is now known or agreed about Hitler's death, most of the details remained a mystery for political purposes (i.e. to deprive Nazis of a rallying point) by the U.S.S.R and East Germany for years following WWII. Definitions
Fascism is an authoritarian ideology that considers individual and other societal interests inferior to the needs of the state. The term Fascism was invented by Mussolini, who was the dictator of Italy before and during WWII. Fasces, which consisted of a bundle of rods tied around an axe, was an ancient Roman symbol of the authority of the civic magistrates, and symbolized strength through unity. Nazism was not a precise, theoretical ideology, but a combination of various ideologies and groups centered around anger at the Treaty of Versailles and what was considered to have been a Jewish/Communist conspiracy to humiliate Germany at the end of the First World War. Nazism consisted of a loose collection of incoherent positions focused on those held to blame for Germany's "weakness": anti-parliamentarism, ethnic nationalism, racism, collectivism, eugenics, anti-Semitism, opposition to economic and political liberalism, a racially-defined and conspiratorial view of finance capitalism, and anti-communism. As Nazism became dominant in Germany, it was defined in practice as whatever was decreed by the Nazi Party and in particular by the Fhrer, Adolf Hitler. Communism is an ideology that seeks to establish a classless, stateless social organization based on common ownership of the means of production. Communist ideals were first penned by Karl Marx, and instituted by Vlademir Lenin and the Bolsheviks after the Russian Revolution of 1917. By 1956, the U.S.S.R. had grown from a union of four Soviet Socialist Republics to a union of 15 republics. After Joseph Lenin (d. 1924) the U.S.S.R was been ruled by Joseph Stalin (d. 1953), Nikita Khrushchev (deposed in 1964), and a collective government from 1964 until Leonid Brezhnev (d. 1982) came to power in the 1970s. In the mid 1980s, the reformminded Mikhail Gorbachev introducing the landmark policies of glasnost (openness) and perestroika (restructuring) in an attempt to modernize Soviet communism. The Fall of Fascism: In July 1943, the Italian King Vittorio Emanuele III and a group of Fascist leaders staged a coup d'etat against Mussolini, having him arrested. In September 1943 Italy surrendered to the Allies, but was immediately invaded by Germany. For nearly two years the country was divided and became a battlefield, with a puppet fascist state under Mussolini being reconstituted in the Nazi-occupied part of the country. On April 28, 1945, Mussolini was executed by Italian communist partisans. The Fall of Nazism: While the German army had initially had great success against the U.S.S.R, the tide turned at the Battle of Stalingrad (August 21, 1942 to February 2, 1943) during which almost 2 million Axis and Soviet soldiers were killed. The German army retreated on the Eastern Front until May 8, 1945 when the Red Army occupied Berlin, and Germany surrendered. Russia emerges from Communist U.S.S.R.: In August of 1991 an unsuccessful military coup attempted to remove Mikhail Gorbachev from power, but instead led to the collapse of the Soviet Union. Boris Yeltsin came to power and declared the end of exclusive Communist rule. The USSR splintered into fifteen independent republics, including Russia, and was officially dissolved in December of 1991.

On Sunday October 8, 2005 a modified Volkswagen Touareg named Stanley beat 23 other robotic cars and 150 miles of Nevada Desert to claim a $2 Million prize and the rights to be called the first autonomous off-road vehicle. Stanley is guided by video, laser, radar and GPS signals, is run by seven on-board Intel Pentiums, and is able to tell the difference between a tumbleweed and a rock. Stanley was invented by a team at Stanford University. Visit the GrandChallenge website for more details. On Saturday November 3, 2007, the Tartan Racing Team (Carnegie Melon) bested Stanley Jr. and Virginia Tech in a 60 mile mock urban course. Not only did these vehicles have to complete the course, they also had to navigate traffic (each other and stunt drivers) and obey all of California's traffic laws. DARPA handed out prizes totaling $3,500,000.[1] [2] The U.S. military has a mandate from Congress to have 30% of all military vehicles unmanned by 2015. The DARPA Grand Challenge and Urban Challenge are part of the U.S. military strategy to achieve this goal.

Just as scientific advancement was represented by a car in the fourth vision, the decline of morality was represented by women in the fifth vision. William Branham saw women cutting their hair, acting and dressing like men, and finally almost completely abandoning their garments. THIS
The last part of this prophecy began to be fulfilled with the invention of the Bikini by fashion designer Jacques Heim in Paris in 1946. Instead of the U.S.A banning this garment, it was promoted by the film industry, and today is accepted by most Christian Americans as acceptable beachwear. The apron-only style garment at the end of the prophecy is much like the autonomous car of the fourth vision - mainstream production and acceptance of this product has not begun, yet, but it exists and can be seen in magazines and advertisements. The U.S.A. remains one of the few "Christian" nations not to allow topless bathing (although unofficially acceptable in certain areas). In many European nations and Australia, public topless bathing is common today. William Branham's prophecy suggests that the U.S.A.'s moral laws will go the way of prohibition.

The fifth vision had to do with the moral problem of our age, centering mostly around women. God showed me that women began to be out of their place with the granting of the vote. Then they cut off their hair, which signified that they were no longer under the authority of a man but insisted on either equal rights, or in most cases, more than equal rights. She adopted men's clothing and went into a state of undress, until the last picture I saw was a woman naked except for a little fig leaf type apron. The cigarette advertisement of the 1970's Youve come a long way, Baby suggests that women have gained greater freedom and liberty than that possessed by their grandmothers. Being chaste and modest were seen as positive character traits at the start of the 20th century, while the young 21st century woman is typically independent and sexually active. Women have indeed come a long way - but not necessarily in the right direction.

Prior to WWI, the fashion industry was influenced by Paris designers, and the wealthy European class. For ladies, the length of her skirt often indicated her age - knee length for pre-teens, ankle length for early teenagers, and floor length for 18+ women. Innocence and
virginity were protected by the community and government, and many adults felt responsible to protect young ladies from premature sexual contact and conduct. Chaperoning was a common social behavior, and the virginity of the mind was just as important as the virginity of the body. The moral edge of pre-war fashion was the "Gibson Girl", with bare arms, a low neckline, corset-bound body, and floor length dress. Yet even the Gibson-style women did not cut or shorten their hair, but advertized long hair by gathering it in a pompadour. On the beaches, men and women were either segregated or swam at different times. Swimwear for women included woolen bloomers and blouse, and black stockings and shoes, and U.S. laws were enforced limiting the exposure of flesh (including the legs). [edit]
1920's: Post-war and pre-depression
Women in the U.S.A. were granted the right to vote in federal elections in 1920. Shortly after, the bob haircut gained popularity among women (where the hair was cut short, but a weighted area was left to fall between the ear and chin), as did the 'flapper' style. The flapper dress sat on the hips and ended near the knee, and the bust was flattened with a binding to give the woman a boyish look. Flappers also popularized the use of cigarettes, hard liquor, and the distain for "decent" behavior among women. Movie houses gained popularity, and Hollywood stars such as Clara Bow began to influence young people with their styles, flirtatious attitude, and use of makeup. On the beaches, swimsuits now consisted of figure hugging wool knit with a sleeveless tank similar to the mens swimwear a decade earlier. [edit]
1930's: The great depression
The depression of the 1930's saw the return of some more modest fashions, and most skirts were again lengthened to the ankles. The uncensored and progressively immoral movies of the 1920's, some including nude scenes, were also curtailed by the implementation of the self-regulating Hays Office so that content-controlling federal laws would not be implemented. Hollywood's influence expanded during this time (in 1932 Macy's in New York sold 500,000 replicas of the dress Joan Crawford wore in the movie "Letty Lynton"), and photographs of actresses Marlene Dietrich and Katharine Hepburn in trousers helped make pants acceptable for women. New fabrics were developed during this time, and women's underwear changed from corsets and bindings, to form-fitting garments. World War II
As war raged across the world, women were encouraged to help their country by working full-time in the factories. With this change of lifestyle, many children were sent to daycares, and trousers for women (promoted by Hollywood in the 1930s) were integrated into the common-woman's wardrobe. Pin-ups became popular for the enlisted men, showing an overall acceptance by the male population of the glorification of the female body. [edit]
1950s
The typical 1950s American girl wore a wide mid-calf length skirt or a poodle skirt, and a modest top. In 1957, Brigitte Bardot (who attempted suicide numerous times) wore a bikini in "And God Created Woman" and created a market for the bikini's as swimwear in the United States. The popularity of wide skirts continued, while the same women now wore bikinis on the beach. Meanwhile, Hollywood introduced the miniskirt in cinemas (Anne Francis, 1956, Forbidden Planet). [edit]
1960s & 1970s
The 1950s had produced a comfortable living for many families, and some of children grew up to hate the materialistic ways of their parents. The popular response to the Vietnam War, with protests and draft-dodging, marked a widespread rebellion of the youth from the "call of duty" that their parents had. Music became the largest influence in the pop culture, with John Lennon saying that the Beatles were "more popular than Jesus". All taboos and restraints of the past were erased, and another sexual revolution began that stretched the moral fibers of America much further than their flapper grandmothers of the 1920s with free sex, drugs, and Rock 'n roll. 1. 2. In 1965 miniskirts became popular. In 1970 abortion was legalized. In 1972, as a result of Eisenstadt v. Baird, (Supreme Court)[1], minor girls now had the right to seek birth control and anything else

that related to their bodies without their parents' consent. Germaine Greer, a prominent and provocative feminist, wrote in 1969 that The women kept on dancing while their long skirts crept up, and their girdles dissolved...and their clothes withered away to the mere wisps and ghosts of draperies to adorn and glorify...

1980s - 1990s
Girls of the 80s and 90s tended to know more about sex than even their mothers. "At this moment in our history, young women develop physically earlier than ever before, but they do so within a society that does not protect or nurture them in ways that were once a hallmark of American life."

As capitalism and the economy were doing well, many parents had little time for their families as they pursued the elusive dream of wealth and prestige; as a result, women were allowing others to raise their children in daycare centers. 1. 2. 3. Celebrity-obsessed magazines showed society's pre-occupation with the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. Multiple partners were considered normal for teenage girls. Birth control was widely used and easily available. In 1992 an Appeals court in the state of New York ruled that women have the same right as men to go topless.

21st Century
America has become desensitized to sex and exposure, and now nothing shocks them except the suggestion that their "liberty" is immoral. Hemline tattoos are popular for young women, along with low-rise jeans, vulgar slogans, body piercings and self-mutilation. Virginity is seen as a sign of weakness, and homosexuality is accepted among teenagers. In the past centuries, Christian peoples were often noted for their modesty, and heathen peoples for their immodesty. Today, the line between the professing Christian and the savage tribesman has become increasingly blurred, as more and more "Christian" people resort not only to the pagan practice of scarification, tattoos and body mutilation, but have thrown off the "restraints of modest dress in favor of the trendy and the physically revealing.

In 2007 a woman was awarded a $29,000 settlement from the City of New York for being arrested (and being subject to 12 hours in custody and a psychiatric evaluation) after walking topless in New York City in 2005.

In 2008, Oprah Winfrey introduced the
world to Thomas Beatie and his wife. "Mr." Beatie, formerly a Hawaiian model named Ms. Tracy Lagondin, was artificially inseminated through an anonymous donor, and gave birth naturally to a baby girl. If Biblical language were used to discribe this situation, it would be a mix of "sodomy" and "prostitution". However, this new-age family was presented as the new "normal" by the media.

You wouldn't expect a child raised in the area around Chernobyl (Russia) to grow into a healthy adult, free from the side effects of nuclear radiation. Likewise, you wouldn't expect a child raised in front of an American television to grow into a mentally healthy adult, free from the side effects of murder, lust and lies. As Protestant America opened its arms to immigrants from all corners of the world, it also accepted their religions. By 1910, as the result of huge number of Irish, German, Italian, Polish, French Canadian, and Eastern European immigrants, 14.6 Million Americans (16.4% of the population) were Catholic.

The 1940's saw an abundance of positive Catholic images coming out of Hollywood. Movies regularly featured strong, sensitive priests or nuns directly involved in the lives of ordinary people. The most popular U.S. television show in the mid1950's was Life Is Worth Living, a 30 minute lecture by the charismatic Bishop Fulton Sheen. It quickly took the number
one spot from the Texaco Comedy Hour, which aired at the same time. At the height of his career, Sheen had a regular audience of 30 million. In 1960, the first Catholic president, John F. Kennedy, was elected. Still, Kennedy sought to distance himself from the Catholic church to assure Protestant voters that his religion would not influence his political decisions. By 2008 President George Bush had eclipsed Kennedy's association with Rome, evidenced by his enthusiastic welcomed of Pope Benedict XVI onto U.S. soil. In an article entitled A Catholic Wind in the White House, the Washington Post discussed the extent of Catholic influence on America policy, concluding that Bush has wedded Catholic intellectualism with evangelical political savvy to forge a powerful electoral coalition and that the key to understanding Bush's domestic policy is to view it through the lense of Rome.[3] By 2006, 69.1 Million Americans (23% of the population) were Catholic.

in the United States, the Southern Baptist Convention, claims to have 16.3 Million members. Catholics in the U.S. are about 6% of the church's total worldwide membership.

What is a Prophet?
Prophets are often represented by Eagles in the Scriptures, known for their vision, power, and speed.
A prophet is a person who speaks by divine inspiration, revealing the will of God. A prophet's message cannot contradict the word of God, or the message of other prophets. A prophet is not identified as a prophet until their first prophecy or miracle comes to pass (such as Jesus turning water into wine). Anyone who does not listen to the prophet after the first prophecy comes to pass often receives judgment from God. There are many types of prophets (groups may overlap):

Some prophets are called gods, as the LORD speaks directly to them. Examples include Moses and Elijah.

All of the prophets speak of God. Jesus was also a prophet, as he prophesied many things during his ministry to the Disciples, and after his ministry to Paul, and to John the Disciple (in the Book of Revelation). While on earth, Jesus fulfilled the office of the Prophet. From the Day of Pentecost, Jesus has fulfilled the office of the Priest. When Jesus returns to the Jews, he will come in the office of the King.
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets. (Amos 3:7)

Joseph as a type of Christ, the prophet

Joseph, a perfect example, that was Christ in Joseph. Why, you notice he was loved of his father, despised of his brothers because he was a seer. They hated him without a cause. The man couldn't help what he was; he was. And the other brothers hated him, a very good type of all ages. Always when a seer comes on the scene, the rest of them hate him for the same cause as they did Joseph. He couldn't help it. He re--He could interpret their dreams. Never was He wrong. There are many prophecies in the Bible. The following sample of Biblical prophecies are about the end times, and various other prophecies not relating to Jesus. It is interesting to note that Prophecies did not end with the Old Testament, but continued on through the Apostles in the New Testament. The Book of Revelation, written by John the Disciple, is also called a prophecy.

Prophecy about the end-times

The Bible often talks about "the last days". The Apostle Peter wrote that "one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." (II Peter 3:8) William Branham taught that the phrase "the last days" refers to a period of two thousand years (two, one thousand year days). By identifying when "the last days" began, we can estimate when "the last days" will end. Peter stood up in the midst of them and said, "These are not drunk, as you suppose they are, seeing this is the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken of by the prophet, Joel. (Joel 2:28) "And it shall come to pass in the last days. Prophecies Fulfilled by Jesus
Jesus fulfilled many Old Testament prophecies during his ministry on earth. Some of these came about by the decisions of others, and seemed to happen by chance - such as Jesus birth in the city of Bethlehem. Other prophecies came about by supernatural intervention - such as the virgin birth of Jesus, and an Angel's direction to Joseph to flee to and then return from Egypt. The following list compares some of the prophecies made about the Messiah that were fulfilled in the life and ministry of Jesus, identifying him as the Christ.

Ascended Into Heaven

Elijah the Prophet
The Spirit of Elijah is prophesied to minister five times. Four of these times have already past.
Elijah (Greek: Elias) was a prophet in Israel in the 9th century BC who raised the dead, called fire from heaven, preached against idolatry, and ascended into heaven in a whirlwind. Elijah's successor, Elisha, was given a double portion of his spirit, and raised the dead, healed the sick, and revealed the secrets of people's hearts. The prophet Malachi prophesied of Elijah's return before the "great and dreadful day of the LORD" (Malachi 4:5b) with a specific mission to "turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers" (Malachi 4:6a). This return is a sign that many Jews and Christians await as an indication of the soon coming of the Messiah.
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. (Malachi 4:5-6)
John the Baptist

The New Testament opens with John the Baptist preparing the way for Jesus' ministry. Jesus identified John as Elijah the prophet - even though he performed no miracles and had only one prophecy: the coming of the Lord - but Jesus also said that Elijah "shall first come and restore all things" (Matthew 17:11). The Bible records that John the Baptist's ministry was to "prepare the way" for Jesus' ministry (Luke 3:4), and "turn the hearts of the fathers to the children," in a ministry of preparation (Luke 1:17). However, John the Baptist did not come to "turn the hearts of the children to the fathers" in a ministry of restoration, and he did not come before the "dreadful day of the Lord", which is the day of judgment.
The Ministry of Restoration

Jesus' prophecy that Elijah will "restore all things" is an impossible commission without the supernatural assistance of the Holy Ghost. However, so is raising the dead, healing the sick, and revealing the secrets of people's hearts. The book of Revelation states that "in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets" (Revelation 10:7). This 'seventh angel' therefore has the Elijah commission to "restore all things". When John the Disciple (who wrote the book of Revelation) saw this 'seventh angel', he fell down at his feet to worship him. However, the angel made a striking statement to John: "See thou do it not: for I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them
which keep the sayings of this book: worship God." (Revelation 22:9b). This angel is therefore a man, with the spirit of Elijah, who will restore the "hearts of the children to the fathers".
Fathers and Children

If the fourth Elijah is a man with a ministry of restoration to turn the "hearts of the children to the fathers", then who are the fathers, and who are the children? I Corinthians 4:15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
Fathers: The New Testament identifies three types of fathers: natural fathers, Jewish forefathers, and fathers in the faith. Children: The New Testament identifies five types of children: natural children, children of God (Christians), children of Israel (Jews), children in understanding, and children in the faith (begotten by the witness of the Apostles). John the Baptist, in turning the hearts of the Fathers to the children, prepared the way for Jesus' ministry to fulfill the law, and bring in the ministry of grace. The fathers were those under the old orthodox Jewish traditions, and the children were the converts of the youthful message of Jesus Christ. It is important to note that in time, the apostles also became the fathers of the Christian faith. The restoration ministry will turn the hearts of the unlearned children back to the faith of the first Apostles. The faith of the Apostles is the Old and New Testament Gospels in its entirety. But, according to the scriptures, it will take a prophet to bring about this restoration.
A Prophet with Control over Nature
Elijah controlled both rain and fire from heaven for judgment under the law.
Under the New Testament ministry of Grace, the fire that followed William Branham's ministry was reserved for healing.
The book of Revelation states that two prophets will arise between the second woe (World War II), and before the third woe (WWIII). The following wonders will accompany these prophets:

"If any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies:" (Revelation 11:5) "These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy:" (Revelation 11:6a) "and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.(Revelation 11:6b)

These signs will continue for "a thousand two hundred and threescore days", or 3.5 years.
These two prophets are Moses and Elijah, because their actions are a continuation of their previous ministry. Moses turned the waters into blood (Exodus 7:21) and smote the Egyptians with plagues (Exodus 8-11). Elijah had the power to shut the heavens, and call both rain and fire down on command (I Kings 17:1, 18:38). Further, Elijah stopped the rain for 3.5 years during the reign of Ahab (I Kings 17:1)
Identifying Elijah
In summary, the spirit of Elijah will fall on five men in the history of time: Elijah, Elisha, John the Baptist, a man with a ministry of restoration, and one of two prophets who will appear before Israel in the last days. Each of the Elijahs mentioned in the Bible have been similar in nature. This is because they are each anointed with the same spirit (note: they are not reincarnations of the same person). A pattern for identifying the fourth and fifth Elijahs is set out from the scriptures. This Biblical pattern solidly identifies William Branham as a candidate for Elijah. Furthermore, his ministry of restoration and emphasis on Biblical Christianity places him within the prophesied ministry of restoration.

William Branham
William Marrion Branham (April 6, 1909 December 24, 1965) was a prophet of God. His father was an Irish-Catholic alcoholic and moonshiner, and his mother was an Irish-Cherokee girl of 15 at the time of his birth. Directed by an angel, William Branham rose above the circumstances of his youth, preaching and praying for millions of people around the world with his hillbilly English. The Full Gospel Men's Voice Magazine (February, 1961) said: In Bible Days, there were men of God who were Prophets and Seers. But in all the Sacred Records, none of these had a greater record than that of William Branham." The Dictionary of Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements: (Zondervan, 1988, p. 372) says: Branham filled the largest stadiums and meeting halls in the world. ... As the pacesetter of the healing revival, Branham was the primary source of inspiration in the development of other healing ministries. The whole intent of William Branham's ministry was to turn Christians hearts back to the scriptures and their experiences to match that of the Apostles. William Branham was born in a log cabin in the hills of Kentucky hills in 1909, the first of nine children of Charles and Ella Branham. Within 15 minutes of his birth, a mysterious light entered the cabin and hovered near the middle of the room before departing through the ceiling. Charles and Ella were nominally Catholic, but the nearest Church was the Opossum Kingdom Baptist Church, which is where they brought William Branham to have him dedicated. In 1912, at the age of three, a voice spoke to William Branham and said that he would live near New Albany, Indiana. His father, a brawler and alcoholic, was in trouble with the law at the time, and had left the family on their own. Later that year, Charles Branham sent a letter to his wife calling the family to New Albany, where William Branham spent the rest of his childhood years.
William Branham was recruited in 1916 to haul water to his father's corn whiskey moonshine still. While carrying a bucket of water up the hill, William Branham saw a whirlwind caught in a tree. The voice spoke from the whirlwind and instructed him never to drink or smoke or defile his body in any way, in preparation of a future work. Grade 7 was William Branham's last year of formal education. That same year, 1923, he was accidentally shot in the leg while hunting with a friend. The shotgun wound was severe, and his family was unable to pay for medical expenses. Laying on a hospital bed, William Branham had a vision of falling into hell. Crying for God, he started a slow recovery. Instead of becoming a preacher, William Branham decided to run off to Arizona in 1927 and become a cowboy. He finally returned to Indiana in 1929 at the news of the death of his best friend - his brother Edward. Back in Indiana, he found work as a high-voltage linesman with the Indiana Public Works, and as a Deputy game warden. William Branham also started a side career as a 'prize fighter' boxer winning 52 fights before being defeated in the ring. He continued at these occupations for a while until he was overcome by gas fumes in 1931, which stared a period of near-death illness. It was during this time that he promised to serve God, and was converted in the winter of that year.
Early Ministry
As a boy, William Branham had witnessed numerous immoral acts as a result of the revelry that accompanied his father's moonshine business, and had decided never to get married. However, he met Hope Brumbach in 1932, who changed his mind. William Branham joined Hope's church, the Missionary Baptist Church in Jeffersonville, and was soon ordained a minster. Later that year, he has two visions: one of a man hit by a car getting healed, and another of an infirm woman being instantly healed. Within weeks, he prayed for both of these people and they were instantly healed.
William and Hope Branham
1933 was a remarkable year for William Branham. First, he had a series of seven prophetic visions starting with the second world war and ending with the destruction of America. Second, as the result of some doctrinal differences, William Branham started construction on his own church, called the 'First Pentecostal Baptist church (Jeffersonville Evening News, 10 June 1933 - this later became known as the 'Branham Tabernacle'). On June 11, 1933, while baptizing people in the Ohio River, at the end of Spring Street in Jeffersonville, Indiana, hundreds of
people saw a bright fiery light suddenly appeared over his head, and a voice spoke from the light, saying: "As John the Baptist was sent to forerun the first coming of Jesus Christ, so your message will forerun His second coming." William Branham continued to work and preach, and married Hope Brumbach in 1934. In 1935, a son, Billy Paul, was born to William and Hope Branham. 1936 was a whirlwind year. William Branham entered a Pentecostal meeting for the first time, which challenged his perspective of Christianity. He received a number of invitations to preach at various Oneness churches after attending this meeting, but was pressured by his mother-in-law not to accept these invitations. William Branham also prophesied that the Ohio river would flood, and reach 22 feet over Spring Street in Jeffersonville. The old-timers laughed at him for this prediction, recalling that the flood of 1884 on reached 6 inches over Spring Street. Finally, a daughter (Sharon Rose Branham) was born to William and Hope Branham in 1936.
Tragedy and Recovery
In 1937, six months after his prophecy, the Ohio river flooded and crested at exactly 22 feet over Spring Street. The problem with this flood is that Hope Branham was extremely sick, and the conditions in and after the flood only made it worse. William Branham was isolated as a result of the flood, and could not access his sick wife. After finding her, her health deteriorated until she finally died. Days later, Sharon Rose also passed away from disease. William Branham links his wife and daughter's death to his decision to respect his mother-in-law and not join the Pentecostal movement. William Branham relays little from the years after the death of his wife and daughter. It was a period of extreme trial and depression, with William Branham attempting suicide twice during this time. Once, holding a gun to his head, the gun 'clicked', but fired from the same chamber when it was aimed elsewhere when he wondered why it didn't fire. Still, William Branham continued to work, and preach, and care for his son. In 1940, William Branham prayed for a crippled boy and girl, and both were healed. This marked the start of his recovery. Soon after, in 1941, he married Meda Broy. William Branham again continued to work and preach, while life quietly passed by. The is evidence of early healing revivals in the local areas around Jeffersonville at this time, primarily with the Oneness Pentecostal groups. In 1946, Meda Branham gave birth to a girl, Rebekah.
Commission and Evangelism
All of William Branham's life he had been afraid of the supernatural that accompanied his life. Ministers had told him it was of the devil, so he had tried to run from it. The problem was that the more he ran, the more it followed him. So in 1946 he took is Bible, told his wife he wouldn't return until he got and answer from God, and went into the backcountry where he had trapped as a child. While praying for an answer, and Angel appeared, and spoke to William Branham. The voice of the angel was the same voice he had heard from the whirlwind as a child, and said:
"Do not fear, for I am sent from the Presence of the Almighty God to tell you that your peculiar birth and life has been to indicate that you're to take a gift of Divine healing to the peoples of the world. If you'll be sincere when you pray, and get the people to believe you, nothing shall stand before your prayer, not even to cancer. You will go into many parts of the earth and will pray for kings and rulers and potentates. You will preach to multitudes the world over and thousands will come to you for counsel." The Angel told William Branham about the signs that would follow his ministry, and began to teach him from the scriptures at that time. Knowing that this gift was from God, William Branham returned to his family, and started his own method of healing evangelism with his whole heart, believing in the Angel's commission. In 1947 William Branham met Gordon Lindsay, who became his primary manager and promoter. Shortly after, several other prominent Pentecostals joined his ministry team, including Ern Baxter and F.F. Bosworth. Gordon Lindsay proved to be an able publicist for Branham, founding The Voice of Healing magazine in 1948 which was originally aimed at reporting on Branham's healing campaigns. His early work in faith healing attracted attention, and as stories began to spread of his healing gift, local pastors came to ask Branham to minister to their congregations and pray for the sick. When local churches could not accommodate the crowds, Branham's meetings were moved to larger auditoriums or stadiums for united campaigns in major cities in North America. In June 1947, the Evening Sun newspaper of Jonesboro, Arkansas reported that "Residents of at least 25 States and Mexico have visited Jonesboro since Rev. Branham opened the camp meeting, June 1st. The total attendance for the services is likely to surpass the 20,000 mark." His success soon took him to minister in countries around the world. According to a Pentecostal historian, "Branham filled the largest stadiums and meeting halls in the world." In Durban, South Africa in 1951 he addressed meetings sponsored by the Apostolic Faith Mission, the Assemblies of God, the Pentecostal Holiness Church, and the Full Gospel Church of God. Meetings were conducted in eleven cities, with a combined attendance of a half million people. On the final day of the Durban meetings, held at the Greyville Racecourse, an estimated 45,000 people attended and thousands more were turned away at the gates. As he travelled around the world he met many individuals of public influence, including U.S. Congressman Upshaw who was healed after Branham prayed for him. God also healed King George VI of England from arterio-sclerosis through his prayers.

In 1948 God showed him a vision of a boy being raised from the dead. He related the details to his audiences and asked them to write those details down in the flyleaves of their bibles. The vision was fulfilled two years later during a speaking trip to Helsinki, Finland in 1950 at the scene of a street accident near Kuopio, Finland. Two boys had been struck by a car and one had been killed. Branham's party had come upon the scene, and he then asked that the sheet covering the boy's body be removed, because he recognized the boy as the one he had seen in his vision. He then prayed over the child and the child was raised from the dead. On the night of January 24, 1950, an unusual photograph was taken during a speaking engagement in the Sam Houston Coliseum in Houston, Texas. As Branham stood at the podium, an apparent halo of fire appeared above his head. A photograph of this phenomenon was produced, the only one of its film roll that developed an image. George J. Lacy, an investigator of questioned documents, subjected the negative to testing and declared at a news conference that, "To my knowledge, this is the first time in all the world's history that a supernatural being has been photographed and scientifically vindicated." The original of the photograph is currently stored in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
Teaching the Bible, with signs following
From the mid 1950s onwards William Branham became more open with his beliefs, and by the late 1950s he was openly stating that the Trinity as presented by most churches was not scriptural. He took the position that neither Oneness theology nor Trinitarianism lined up with the Bible. William Branham also started to teach a number of other doctrines which were considered to be unorthodox, but by no means unprovable from the Bible, such as the 'serpent's seed doctrine. By this time, both of the signs were open to the public. The first sign was a physical sign appearing in his hand indicating a disease or healing. The second sign was that the secret thoughts and needs of individuals were revealed to him, just as they were revealed to other Prophets in the Bible. These signs never ceased to vindicate William Branham's ministry. William Branham preached thousands of sermons, of which over 1100 were recorded and transcribed.
A Prophet to the Gentiles
In 1963 William Branham received another angelic visitation. This time, the Angel told him to go to Jeffersonville and preach a series of meetings on Seven Seals. William Branham did just that, and the Angel of the Lord instructed him on what to say, and what not to say during these services. These sermons marked the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy, that in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. (Revelation 10:7)
Death
On December 18, 1965 William Branham and his family (all except his daughter Rebekah) were returning to Jeffersonville, Indiana from Tucson, Arizona for the Christmas Holidays. About three miles east of Friona, Texas just after dark, a car traveling west in the eastbound lane, struck Branham's car head-on. The driver of the car was intoxicated and died at the scene as did the other front seat passenger. The other two passengers in the back seat of the car were severely injured. Branham's wife was seriously injured and his daughter Sarah was lying in the back seat also injured. Branham's left arm was mangled and caught in the driver-side door, and his left leg was wrapped around the steering wheel. After about 45 minutes Branham was pulled from his car and transported to the hospital at Friona-then later transported to the hospital at Amarillo, Texas. He lived for six days after the crash, dying on December 24, 1965 at 5:49 PM. His body was returned to Jeffersonville, Indiana for burial. What is interesting is that even though his body was taken from the earth, his voice remained - caught on the taped recordings of his services. As a result, the "days of the voice of the seventh angel" doesn't simply relate to William Branham's physical ministry, but it extends to the time after his death when his voice continues to circle the world.
