Common Name: Carnival Candy Slime Species Name: Arcyria denudate Family: Trichiaceace, Order: Trichiales Description: Producing pinkish-reddish, cottony, cylindrical tops on tiny stalks; on dead wood Fruiting Bodies: 1/64 1/32 (0.5-1 mm) wide, 1/16-1/4 (1.5-5mm) high; oval to cylindrical, crowded, cottony-thready, reddish, becoming dingy ochre. Fruiting in very dense cluster Stalk: Dark or reddish, broadening into cuplike container above; rising from small sheetlike bas, 1/64-1/16 (0.5-1.5 mm) long.

Spores: 6-8 ; round, with a few scattered warts, transparent; red to reddish-brown in mass. Habitat: On dead wood, mostly deciduos Range: Widely distributed in Malaysia Date take: 27 May 2009 Location: Hutan Simpan Bangi, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia
