Both air and rail facilities are within our city. Lawrence Smith Memorial Airport features a 4,000foot, hard-surface lighted runway, which is ideal for almost all general aviation activity. The City has completed an update to the Airport Master Plan to provide for airport enhancements. Items under consideration are the extension of the runway to 5000 feet, the construction of a parallel taxiway, additional hangers and a new terminal. The Missouri and Northern Arkansas Railroad makes daily stops to move freight in and out for our industrial and manufacturing firms. Motor freight carriers, highway bus service and package delivery from Federal Express, Roadway Package System and United Parcel Service also serve the community.
