Happy March from Orange Walk DAVCO President Fidelmar Hernandez

This month has been incredible and we are prepared to begin our Village Tour starting in April. Although the first three months of the year were busy we are ready to progress to the next stage of our work here at DAVCO. One of the great announcements we have is that beginning in April, we are planning to commence with a new ESL class just for our Village Councilors. Please contact our office so we can guage who wants to join the class-it will be very beneficial. Also, an man named Dylan Vernon has visited our office and told us that through research and conversation with officials: Orange Walk DAVCO is the best run and most successful DAVCO in the country. Congrats! Lastly, please return your Community Profile as we are offering incentives for the first 10 to return theirs by April 15th.

New ESL Class at Orange Walk DAVCO

Mr Fidelmar and Zachary Pullin, Peace Corps volunteer, have begun talking about offering an English as a Second Language class to our Village Council members who want to learn or improve English skills. As Belizes official language is English, it is important to learn both basics and complex aspects of the English language to operate and work at a level comparable with the Government of Belize. Learning English will help with basic communication, letter writing, grants, fundraising requests and more. Call our offices if you are interested. Wednesday classes will begin in April.
