Myself My name is Khairunnisa Binti Nordin. I was born on 7 th May 1992 in Ipoh,Perak. I am the 5th child out of 7.

I live in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. I studied in SK Jalan 4, Bandar Baru Bangi and SMK Jalan 3, Bandar Baru Bangi. I got 6As and 2Bs for my PMR and 4A, 3B and 2C+ for my SPM. After my secondary school, I continue my studies at Kolej Matrikulasi Negeri Sembilan at Kuala Pilah where I obtained my CGPA 3.13. I have now registered as a student in Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Chemical and Biology Engineering Technology that located in Alor Gajah, Melaka. I choose Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Biosystem as my study field Carrier planning The environmental issues have become a world-wide concern in the last decades. The impacts of the heavy industries or any other industries can affect the environment. The agricultural industries for example, also contribute to this problem, eg. chemicals fertilizer that runoff into our river were also seen as contribution to the environmental issues. Hence, water and air pollution, global warming, land degradation, resource depletion etc becoming worst. With this regard, a study on the bio system engineering that I chose will prevent and control the pollution and save our country. I see bio system engineering path as an important strategy for supporting sustainable development for our country and in the mean time can help meeting the objectives of Kyoto Protocol in order to reduce the Green House Gas emission (GHG). This is because ,when I become a Bio system engineer, I will have the knowledge and ability to apply the engineering principles to biological processes and materials in order to develop alternative energy sources, beneficial products and to provide alternative strategies for dealing with household, agricultural, municipal wastes and biological system. With this, the use of fossil fuels and natural resources also can be reduced tactically.

The diverse subjects that offered in the study programme will make me to understand the engineering aspects of many different facets of projects thus enable me to manage projects that involve in environmental permitting and remediation, food and process,

pharmaceuticals, biological engineering, biofuels, natural resources and environmental engineering, irrigation and drainage and many more. This could giving me an opportunity to become a Production Engineer, Lab Evaluation Engineer, Natural Resource Engineer and Waste Management Engineer. Studies planning As a determined student, I will give my best to achieve the objectives of my studies. I will be effective in accomplishing tasks with or without group members and I will make a good time management. I am really interested to study in this field, thus apart from gaining knowledge from the lecture, I will enhancing my knowledge and skills through reading journals, get the latest news and technology from the internet in order to understand the social, environmental, safety and economics impacts of related industries in local or global context. I will also get involved in the curriculum activities that provided by the university such as sports, club and organization to balance my studies and social life in UniKL.
