Objective

To utilize my potential for achieving excellence and apply all that I have learned to be part of a dynamic team. 2011 Installation of ericcson minilink microwave transmission system for MTN UGANDA 2008 2009 FEIL - HUAWEI Warid Project Uganda. Regional BTS maintenance engineer {northern Uganda, based in Masindi}. Carried out preventive and corrective maintenance of Warid/Huawei/ outdoor and indoor bts and Nera E1 related faults in the northern Uganda since installation to date. Carry out power audit and corrective maintenance on all Huawei bts installation on the region assigned. Trouble shoot and implement replacement of some taxing and regularly failing units/ , making warid one of the most stable and reliable network in the region. Replacement of faulty gsm-radio units i.e. Modules, DDF, TRXs, Connectors and RF cabling if any develops disruptive faults.
2007 Installation as a sub-contractor, HUAWEI - government networks integration project.

Experience

Installation of the fiber optic network DDFs at Bombo baracks Installation of backup power for the above system. 2006 2007 carried out servicing and fuelling for the following clients; Celtel eastern and western Uganda, fuelling and genset service under FEIL. MTN northern Uganda, fuelling and genset service / supervision under strogen. fuelling and genset service for both UTL and Celtel masindi region under FEIL. Training and guidance of junior staff. Preparation and sourcing of spare parts/ items required for repairs of faults reported at sites. 2006 Carried out training and supervision of strogen MTN power project technician.

Carried out installation, corrective and preventive maintenance for the above

clients. As detailed bellow. Routine installation checks and testing of the clients installation as scheduled. Carry out fuel consumption audit and prepare reports on genset maintenance reports. Attending to power emergency callouts from NOC.
2002 2004 MTN Uganda, Regional Engineer.

Liaison with the maintenance contractors regarding current and forthcoming projects. Maintained operational, all M&E equipment in the assigned region. Carry out solar/battery maintenance and commissioning at installations where the system is determined. Plan for commissioning of new installations i.e. generators, earth mega tests, insulation resistance verification and mains supply if any at the bts installations before powering up the site. Routine visit to the field, to gather data on the installation status to enable easy planning for essential maintenance. Designing and modification of control circuits for change over and control panels. Maintenance, reprogramming and replacement of PLC equipment at my sites.
