INTRODUCTION AND DESIGN OF THE STUDY

The concept of quality work life is the value-based process of making work meaningful for employees in an organizational environment where they are motivated to perform well and are satisfied with their work.The main criteria constitute the broad realm of quality work life includes the following: a) Balance between effort and reward b) Safe and healthy working conditions c) Immediate opportunity to use and develop human capabilities d) Opportunity for continued growth and security e) Social integration in the company f) Work and the total life space The central idea of quality work life is that balancing work and personal life is not merely a matter of personal choice but a corporate responsibility in terms of: a) Improving work schedules b) Improving compensation systems c) Improving self-fulfillment Quality of work life has also been viewed in a variety of ways including d) (a) as a movement e) (b) as a set of organizational interventions, and f) (c) a type of work life by employees.
