: FINDING OF DEFECT IN MILD STEEL WELDMEN THROUGH NDT INSPECTION

:4 : 2 MONTHS : NDT is one of the many tools used to assure the quality and reliability of a product during manufacture and while it is in service. The primary objective of any NDT method is to find defects before they become large enough to carry expensive repairs or a component failure. To find the defect using liquid penentrating, magnetic practical testing, ultrasonic &radiographic etc..

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE welding inspector in M/s indwell

constructions ltd [02 June 2009- till date]

Executed works construction of power cycle piping, low pressure piping and fire fighting piping for thermal power stations. Welding of power cycle pipping,low pressure pipping,boiler pipping & ESP and then inspecting the pipe using NDT method. Documented the whole improvements and presented to the management.

As welding inspector in M/s indwell constructions ltd.

Our company at its site of M/S APGENCO LTD. Had executed the works of construction of Thermal power plants at its site kothagudem dist khammam AP India. Welding of power cycle pipping,low pressure pipping,boiler pipping & ESP. Inspection of pipping using NDT. Improved the Tact time and standardized the process by implementing 6s. Identified six desirable improvements in the process using current value stream mapping. Developed a standard procedure check list to minimize the possibility of breaking index pin(s). Prepared a set of instructions sheet to carry out the process.

Significance of the project:

Check the quality and relaibility of a product under manufacture or under use. By adding extra bank in economizer. Reduced the number of workers from 5 to 4.
