WASHINGTON WASHINGTON DC WESTVIRGINIA WISCONSIN WYOMING TOP 10 HAUNTED HOTELS IN AMERICA THE LIST OF HAUNTED HOTELS CONCLUSION BIBLIOGRAPHY

INTRODUCTION Do you enjoy a good scare? Do you believe in ghosts or are you a skeptic? This ebook gives you a list of over 400 haunted Hotels B & Bs and Inns in the United States of America. If you are looking for a holiday with a difference why not try spending the night in a haunted hotel? You may find yourself sharing your bedroom with a ghost! This list of haunted hotels is by no means exhaustive but I have tried to include those hotels where you might just experience the paranormal. Be aware that not all hotels like to air their ghostly legends while others like the Queen Mary offer ghost tours. To help you decide on which hotel youd like to spend the night in I have included what I consider to be the TOP 10 HAUNTED HOTELS in AMERICA. Do I believe in ghosts myself? Damn straight I do. I am a psychic and I have seen ghosts all my life. Most ghosts are not in any way frightening they look like regular people and these ghosts wont harm you in any way. There are however some ghosts that were bad people in their lives and they continue to be bad energies in our world. If you are hurt or in any way attacked by an entity in a hotel my advice is get out. HINT: Remember to take your video recorder and leave it running while you sleep. You may catch some paranormal evidence that the hotel you are staying in really is haunted! Wherever possible I have tried to list the room numbers where paranormal activities have been experienced. RESIDUAL AND REAL HAUNTINGS Throughout this ebook I talk about two kinds of hauntings residual and real. Residual hauntings occur when a building or sometimes a piece of furniture replays a slice of the past over and over. No-one knows for sure why this occurs though I have two theories. The first is electromagnetic fields are higher in the areas where residual hauntings occur. Electromagnetic energy powers up ghostly images from the past and it also interferes with things like electrical equipment and phone lines. The second theory is I admit, out there, but I have experienced glimpses of the future all my life so Ive given this some thought. Time is something everyone takes for granted. Time can only work one way go forwards. There are the same amount of hours every day

24. But how do we really know that? Imagine that time is like a sound wave. Most of the time the waves are uniform but what if there is a power source (again I think its electromagnetic in nature) that can cut through time. (Imagine sound waves with an arrow cutting through the waves.) Thus a person now can see glimpses of the past if the electromagnetic arrow is heading backwards and people may see glimpses of the future if the electromagnetic arrow is heading forwards. Whatever the reason, residual hauntings are not in any way harmful or dangerous. What you are seeing is like a movie playing over and over. You can tell if a haunting is residual if the entity does not interact with the living in a conscious way. The other kind of haunting is a real haunting. This is when a conscious entity interacts with the living. When a person feels a push on a staircase, or finds their clothes all over the floor, when they feel someone invisible getting in bed beside them or pressing down on their chest these are all examples of a real haunting. The ghost is doing something to you on purpose. There are four kinds of real ghosts. Good ghosts, that is people who have past over in to the spirit world but choose to help the living. Sad ghosts, that is people who have died feeling depressed, heartbroken or broken emotionally and physically. These sad ghosts remain sad energies and they can make people feel drained and melancholy. Then there are the bad ghosts. Bad ghosts are the spirits of bad people. It is a misconception that bad people miraculously turn good after death or realize the errors of their ways and try to make amends. The fact is bad people who die usually become bad energies that want to lash out at the living. These spirits can be malicious and love to scare the jeepers out of the living. If you run in to a bad ghost get away from them because they do mean you harm. The fourth kind of ghost isnt really a ghost it is an entity some people would call them a demon. These entities were never human and they hate people both living and dead. These entities are evil and they want to destroy you. These fourth entities are to be avoided. If you come in to contact with a fourth entity do not try and communicate with it in any way. Get away from the place you have experienced it and call for professional people like an Exorcist to deal with the evil spirit. If you think that you may have made contact with a fourth entity you may feel rage for no reason, you may have horrible thoughts that normally you would find repulsive. Your mental abilities will be impaired especially your power to reason. You will know pure terror. You will feel the urge to strike out and hurt or even kill people especially the people you normally love. If you start to experience any of these feelings get out of the haunted place immediately. For further advice about how to deal with a demon refer to my ebook Help I Think My House Is Haunted! HOW TO USE THIS EBOOK For your convenience I have listed the haunted hotels state by state. Just click on the State you are interested in on the Contents Page. When you go to the state you will find that I have listed the towns of that state in alphabetical order. Some towns may have a number of haunted hotels listed while others may have only one. If you are interested in any particular hotel I encourage you to check out their web site or give the hotel a call.

At the end of the ebook I list the 10 Most Haunted Hotels in The USA. This is my own list and you might be surprised which hotels I have listed. To qualify for this list the hotels must have real hauntings not just residual hauntings. Finally for your convenience I have listed the haunted hotels in alphabetical order. This ebook is designed to be a quick ready reference for you to find a haunted hotel. I have spent a lot of time researching this ebook so that you can get to do the fun stuff visit a haunted hotel. HAUNTED STATES ALABAMA MONTGOMERY Tutwiler Hotel This hotel is haunted by Colonel Tutwiler. The Colonel is in the habit of turning on all the lights and other electrical appliances during the night. The Staff at the Hotel all ask the Colonel to turn the lights off and not to make a mess every night. My take is this is a real haunting. Further paranormal research could discover if other ghosts are haunting the Hotel with the Colonel? I recommend a spiritual cleansing to help the Colonel leave this world and enter the spiritual realm. CONTACT INFORMATION Tutwiler Hotel 2021 Park Place North, Birmingham AL 35203 Ph 205-322-2100 http://www.thetutwilerhotel.com SELMA Saint James Hotel The St. James is found in the banking district of Selma. Views of the Alabama River can be seen from the Hotel. The Library of Congress lists three famous ghosts who haunt the Saint James Hotel. Jesse James the notorious cowboy has been sighted coming out of rooms 214, 314 and 315. Jesse has also been seen in the bar room at the bar and seated left of the bar at his favorite corner table. Glasses have been heard to clank by themselves around the bar. Lucinda, Jesse Jamess girl friend is another ghost recognized as haunting the Hotel. Lucindas picture can be found downstairs in the hotel. She is a gentle ghost said to be a tall black haired beauty. If you smell a strong lavender scent in the air youve just had an encounter with Lucinda. Some people have actually seen her. A ghost dog is the third ghost. The dog is thought to have belonged to Jesse James. He can often be heard barking on the staircase. Room 304 is said to be haunted by an angry ghost who repeatedly pulls the curtains and flashes the lights.

An elderly man has been seen eating in the dining room. The only trouble is he disappears before your eyes. An old mans voice has also been heard in the Brantly Ballroom. Outside in the inner-courtyard peoples footsteps and dogs barking have been heard even though the courtyard is empty. My take - I think this hotel is certainly haunted by at least one real ghost who lives in Room 304. Much of what people see however are residual hauntings for example Jesse James Lucinda the dog and the elderly gentleman. If you scare easy do not stay in room 304. If you are a skeptic however I thoroughly recommend it. You might experience something interesting. From what Ive read the ghosts haunting the St James are not to be feared. They sound interesting so I think its definitely a hotel thats worth a visit. CONTACT INFORMATION Saint James Hotel 1200 Water Avenue Selma, Alabama 36703 Ph (334) 872-3234 http://www.historicstjameshotel.com ALASKA SKAGWAY The Golden North Hotel This is no longer a hotel but the building is said to be haunted by two ghosts. One of them is called Mary. Mary was a young woman who died of pneumonia in the old hotel in room 23. People who slept in this room have complained of being choked during the night. Room 14 had an eerie light form that moved around the room. No-one knows who or what the light was? Although you can no longer stay over night in the building you can visit the haunted rooms still. My take this building is still haunted by real ghosts. Further research may discover more paranormal things going on in the building that was once The Grand North Hotel. CONTACT INFORMATION The Golden North Hotel 3rd & Broadway St, Skagway AK , Ph 907-983-2451 http://www.haunted-places-to-go.com/golden-north-hotel.html ARIZONA BISBEE

Bisbee Grand Hotel Bed & Breakfast Built in 1906 for mining executives it was later renamed the Victoria Hotel. There are at least two ghosts in the hotel. A woman has been seen upstairs and a man downstairs. The ghosts do not interact with anyone and they make no noise. My take - these are residual hauntings. The main thing to remember is that if you are looking for a ghostly experience without any fear of being hurt this is an ideal hotel to visit. CONTACT INFORMATION Bisbee Grand Hotel 61 Main Street, Bisbee AZ Ph 520-432-5900 http://www.bisbeegrandhotel.com Copper Queen Hotel Built in 1902 by the Copper Queen Mining Company. The third floor of the building was a bordello. Miss Julia Lowell was a prostitute at the hotel during the 1920s 30s. At the age of thirty she killed herself depressed because shed been jilted by a man she loved. She is said to haunt the third floor of the hotel especially Room 315 where she does a strip tease for male guests who sleep in the room. Julia has also been seen on the grand staircase. An 8 year old boy who drowned in a nearby pond also haunts the third floor and he has been seen in the dining room. When guests run a bath they can hear the boy crying. The ghost child hides under tables where children sit in the dining room having a meal. The fourth floor of the hotel is haunted by an old gentleman with a white beard. He wears a top hat and a fine black suit. The old man has been seen in the lobby and on the stairs. When he is present people can smell cigar smoke. A woman in a black evening gown has been seen walking down the staircase. A young red haired woman in her twenties has appeared at the front desk and dining room from the waist up. Howard a dead front desk clerk rings up to check how the Staff are going. Howard knows the Staffs names. My take there are at least three real hauntings going on at the hotel, Julia Lowell the young boy and Howard. Further paranormal research will prove whether the other hauntings are residual or real. Mailing Address: P.O. Drawer CQ Bisbee, Arizona 85603 http://www.copperqueen.com Oliver House Bed and Breakfast An old woman who died of natural causes is said to haunt the Grandma Room and the Purple Sage Room. Shutters and doors open and close by themselves. The old lady rocks in the rocking chair in the Grandma Room and people have seen her tidying up. In the late 1800s Nathan Anderson was shot between the eyes in the room at the top of the stairs. He was killed by a Policeman who had discovered that Nathan and his wife were having an affair. The Policeman later committed suicide. My take when a violent crime like murder has occurred in a building it is not uncommon for paranormal activity to occur. This may be due to the creation of portals between this world and the spirit world? I believe that the hauntings are real and I think that Nathan and the Policeman who shot him are also present in the house. CONTACT INFORMATION Oliver House Bed and Breakfast 126 All Souls Avenue, Bisbee, AZ, 85603 Ph. 520.432.1900 http://www.bisbeeoliverhouse.com CHANDLER Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort Built in 1912 as a luxury hotel the Crowne Plaza was the first golf resort in Arizona. Do not expect a big ghost experience here but there have been a lot of calls made to the front desk from room extensions that do not exist. A woman ghost has been seen by some visitors and sometimes a mans moaning can be heard. My take - this hotel would appeal most to golf lovers who might like the thrill of staying in a place that might or might not give them an encounter with a ghost. CONTACT INFORMATION Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort One San Marcos Place, Chandler AZ 85225 http://www.crowneplaza.com DOUGLAS Gadsden Hotel

Watch out folks this hotel has a scary ghost. The Gadsden Ghost can be found in the basement of the hotel. It is a tall man dressed in black but get this the ghost has no head! Some people think the headless ghost is Pancho Villa who buried treasure in northern Mexico. The map to the treasure was tattooed on Panchos head. On his death in 1923 Panchos followers beheaded their leader and buried the skull. The old hotel was burned down and the Gadsden Hotel was rebuilt on the site where the skull was buried. The headless ghost is said to be searching for his head and his lost treasure. Dont think that you will get a good nights sleep in your hotel room as many visitors have found the headless ghost peering over them while they are in bed. My take - this hotel has an interesting history and visitors can expect a scary ghostly encounter. I believe that the haunting is real and that Pancho is unable to rest as he feels cheated. The story about his head being buried and left I think is false. Someone dug up that head and used it to find the treasure. Maybe Pancho will never rest as it seems unlikely that the person(s) who took his treasure will ever be brought to justice. Due to the location of the Gadsden Hotel Id advise you to check on how safe the area is before you visit as Arizona and New Mexico have declared a state of emergency on their borders. CONTACT INFORMATION Gadsden Hotel 1046 G Ave, Douglas AZ Ph 520-364-4481 http://www.hotelgadsden.com FLAGSTAFF Hotel Weatherford This is a hotel full of ghosts. The Zane Grey Ballroom boasts a stained glass window and antique Brunswick bar from Tombstone. Many visitors have reported seeing ghosts around these pieces of furniture. The ballroom also boasts a female ghost who darts around the room. The light over the pool table often moves of its own accord and voices can be heard from the bar even though it is empty. Room 54 is now a store closet but in the 1930s a young bride and groom were murdered in the room. The couple still haunt the hotel and many visitors have woken up to see the bride and groom sitting on their bed. The fourth floor of the hotel is also reported to be haunted by an unseen presence that calls out the names of staff. My take - the Hotel Weatherford is haunted by at least four real ghosts. It sounds to me like the bride and groom are seeking justice. Who killed them and why? The Ballroom sounds as if it has at least two entities. Perhaps the furniture from Tombstone is haunted by an old cowboy or gambler? The woman haunting the ball room may, I suspect, have also been murdered in the hotel. The fact that the entity on the fourth floor calls out the names of staff means that the entity is real.

All in all if you want to visit a real haunted hotel this sounds like a great one to visit. CONTACT INFORMATION Hotel Weatherford 23 N. Leroux Street Flagstaff Arizona 86001 Ph 928-779-1919 http://www.weatherfordhotel.com Monte Vista Hotel This hotel has had a colorful history. It opened on New Years Day in 1927 and over the years celebrities like Gary Cooper Bing Crosby, Jane Russell and Spencer Tracy stayed there. Over 100 cowboy and western films were shot nearby and many of the actors and film crew made the Monte Vista Hotel their temporary home. The hotel boasts some interesting ghosts. The phantom bellboy is known for knocking on peoples doors and then vanishing. A woman ghost has been seen outside the Zane Grey suite and a ghostly man is said to walk up and down various hotel rooms coughing as if he is clearing his throat. The saloon is said to be haunted by a bank robber. In 1970 the none too bright robber stopped to share a drink in the saloon with his fellow bank robbers even though he had been shot. He never left the saloon because he died there. My take - the Bell Boy knows something perhaps he was bribing one of the famous celebrities who stayed at the hotel? Something is keeping the Bell Boy at his job. I think he is a real haunting. The woman and the pacing man may be appearing due to electromagnetic influences as it is not clear whether or not they interact with people. They are most likely to be residual hauntings. The Bank Robber sounds too dumb to know how to move on to the spirit world. I think he is a real haunting. The Monte Vista Hotel has an exciting history and there is enough to suggest to me that a night at the hotel may prove to be either nostalgic and/or eerie. CONTACT INFORMATION Monte Vista Hotel 100 N San Francisco St, Flagstaff AZ Ph 928-779-6971 http://www.hotelmontevista.com GLOBE Noftsger Hill Inn

This Inn was originally a school in 1907. Visitors to this six bedroom inn may hear childrens voices, phantom footsteps, and/or see objects move of their own accord. A number of people have witnessed ghost lights. My take - yes it is haunted but I tend to think that the ghostly appearances are mostly residual hauntings. However the flying objects are caused by a real ghostly entity and I believe that you may just experience a real live haunting if you stay here overnight. CONTACT INFORMATION Noftsger Hill Inn 425 North St, Globe AZ 85501 Ph 928-425-2260 http://www.noftsgerhillinn.com GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK El Tover Hotel The hotel was built in 1905 by Fred Harvey. Freds ghost has been seen on the third floor of the hotel usually at Christmas time. The kitchen has also experienced a ghostly presence. In the car park a black caped ghost has been witnessed. My take - I have to be honest I would not visit this hotel to see the ghosts. I believe that the hauntings are residual but I would visit it because it rests twenty feet from the south rim ridge of the Grand Canyon. CONTACT INFORMATION El Tover Hotel PO Box 699, Grand Canyon National Park AZ Ph 888-297-2757 Intl 303-297-2757 http://www.grandcanyonmotel.com/Grand-Canyon-Hotel-El-Tovar-Hotel.htm JEROME Connor Hotel Built in 1898 for miners the hotel burnt down twice and closed in 1931. When the mines were closed in the 1950s Jerome became a ghost town. In the 1960s the town gained a new lease of life and became an artist and tourist destination. During this time the hotel was a low budget affair and it was eventually closed in the.1980 due to safety violations. In 2000 the owners renovated the hotel and restored some of its old splendor with modern amenities. A number of ghosts have been reported in the following rooms. Room 1 Womens ghostly whispers and laughter can be heard. Watch the photographs in the room because they change and dont expect a warm night because the room gets inexplicably cold. Room 2 Poltergeist activity occurs here objects move of their own accord.

Room 4 A ghost dog growls at the door and an old man can be heard coughing. My take - this hotel could make an interesting visit. If you stay in Room 1 or 2 you may expect a scare. These rooms are experiencing real hauntings. However having said that I havent read anything about the Hotel to suggest that visitors are under any kind of threat from the ghostly entities that dwell here. Its definitely worth a visit. CONTACT INFORMATION Connor Hotel 164 Main St, Jerome AZ Ph 888-523-3554, 928-634-5006 or 800-523-3554 http//www.connorhotel.com The Ghost City Inn The Ghost City Inn was originally built for the mine managers. Over the years it has been a private home, a restaurant, a spiritual retreat, a funeral home and an art gallery. In 1994 it was converted to a Bed and Breakfast. The Cleopatra Hill Room is said to be haunted by a woman. The ghost of a man has been seen outside the Verde View Room. Visitors can expect to hear doors slamming and opening of their own accord and hear spectral voices. My take - this is a hotel where you visit to soak up the atmosphere. Jerome is a ghost town and it has had a rich history. You may not experience a ghostly encounter but then again you just might. The hauntings seem to be residual but further research may prove that some of the hauntings are real. CONTACT INFORMATION Ghost City Inn 541 Main Street (HWY 89A) Jerome Arizona 86331 Ph 888-634-4678. http://www.ghostcityinn.com The Jerome Grand Hotel This old hotel has many ghosts and spooky things happen here all the time. You may hear ghostly footsteps but when you turn around no-one is there. Objects move on their own and electrical appliances turn off and on during the day and at night. The hotel lobby is very active and the doors of the hotel often open and close by themselves. Chairs get rearranged and gift shop items fly off the shelf with a little ghostly help. The hotel desk gets phone calls from rooms where no-one is staying. When the Staff pick up the phone no-one answers. The elevator that heralds back to 1926 still works and an old lady dressed in white has been seen standing outside the elevator doors.

The most famous ghost at the hotel is Claude Harvey who was called Scotty. Scotty was a hospital maintenance man in 1935. He was found crushed beneath the hotel elevator. The inquest on his death discovered that Scottie hadnt died because of the elevator. Was Scottie murdered, his neck broken and then dumped down the elevator shaft? The truth behind Scotties death has never been discovered but soon after Scotties death lights have been seen in the elevator shaft and the elevator can sound as if it is working even when it is not. Some Staff have seen and felt an angry presence in the basement. People who have seen the entity say that it is a furious man. Could it be Scottie? Other ghosts in the Hotel include a man in a wheelchair who died when he fell from a balcony, a victim of a shooting, and a caretaker who hanged himself. A woman in white roams through the hallways and a child has been seen running through the bar. Not all of these ghosts are friendly some guests and staff have been pushed in the hallways. If you take a photograph here dont be surprised if you see an unexplained haze or light. My take - the Jerome Grand Hotel is haunted. I feel Scottie is a real haunting and he needs to be put to rest. All that anger he is emitting is creating a bad energy in the hotel. If you stay at the Hotel take some photos you may just capture a ghost. If you are unlucky enough to get pushed by a ghost do not show any fear. React calmly and firmly. Tell the ghost Stop that. You are dead. Leave this hotel and go on to the spirit world where you belong. Sprinkle a pinch of pure salt over your shoulder and walk on. If the entity continues to hurt you it may be time that Hotel brought in a team of exorcists. Very often ghosts who push people are trying desperately to get someone to notice them. The best thing that can happen to them is that they be helped to leave this world and journey on to the spirit realm. CONTACT INFORMATION The Jerome Grand Hotel 200 Hill Street Jerome Arizona Ph 928-634-8200 or 888-817-6788 http://www.jeromegrandhotel.net Mile High Inn This small Inn has only got 8 guest rooms but it boasts at least two ghosts Jennie Banters and a phantom cat. Jennie Banters was the one time brothel owner and she appears in the Lariat and lace Room where she sends objects flying across the room. Jennie moves fans in other rooms and nowhere seems to be safe from her annoying meddling. Radios turn on in visitor rooms and objects get moved all over the place. The ghost cat is thought to have been the pampered pet of Jennie. The cat brushes against people demanding to be picked up but when someone tries to gather the pussy in to their arms it disappears. Expect to sleep the night with the ghost cat beside you on the bed or perhaps you will here the ghost kitty meow?

Another ghost is the elderly gentleman, a work man who appears in the Pillow Talk room. Perhaps he was once a patron? This friendly ghost opens doors and appears to visitors. Another ghost is a young man. He is what I call a bad ghost as he deliberately frightens couples and he haunts the Victorian Rose Room. He has a bad temper and he causes cold winds to blow in the guest room. My take - this hotel may be small but it has real ghosts haunting the premises. You can expect furniture to move, glasses and cutlery to slide off tables. Doors open and close all by themselves. Electrical items turn off and on at all odd hours of the day or night. You might even hear Jennie singing. CONTACT INFORMATION Mile High Inn 309 Main Street P.O. Box 901 Jerome Arizona 86331 Ph 928-634-5094 http://www.bedandbreakfast.com/az-jerome-mile-high-inn.html KINGMAN Hotel Brunswick Built in 1909 by two men. The men fell out over a woman and the hotel was divided in to two hotels until the 1960s. In 1997 the hotel was renovated in to a bed and breakfast hotel. In 2006 the hotel had a fine dining bistro added. Famous people like Clark Gable have visited the hotel over the years. This is a hotel with a lot of history and a lot of ghosts. The ghost of a little girl has been seen in the dining room. Visitors have experienced ghosts near them and even walking through them! Most of the ghost activity has been experienced in the hallways especially on the second floor. My take the hauntings at this hotel are mostly residual. Further research may prove that real hauntings are also occurring. CONTACT INFORMATION Hotel Brunswick (Historical) 315 E. Andy Devine Ave (Rte 66), Kingman AZ Ph 928-718-1800 http://www.allstays.com/Haunted/az_kingman_hotelbrunswick.htm OATMAN Oatman Hotel Built in 1902 and originally called the Drulin Hotel this eight bedroom hotel boomed in the gold rush era. Close to Route 66 travelers still keep the place alive.

Room 15 is famous for Clark Gable and Carol Lombard spending the night. Visitors have heard them whispering and laughing and one photographer has caught the image of a ghostly figure in this room. The second floor houses a Theater Room Museum and the ghost of a chambermaid is said to sleep there during the night. The other resident ghost is an old Irish miner called Oatie He can sometimes be seen running down the stairs and out the door. He also has been known to pull off visitors bed covers and to play bagpipes, sometimes the rooms he visits get chilly. Perhaps he just cant believe that hes dead? Oatie was found dead out the back of the hotel having drunk himself to death after his family died on their way out to America. Downstairs in the saloon several spirits are said to play harmless pranks like lift money and glasses off the bar. Footprints appear on floors but no-one is in the room and the toilets flush even though the rooms are empty. My take - this hotel is interesting both as a nostalgic hotel to visit for its interesting past and because it is really haunted. You might hear Clark Gable and Carol Lombard sharing a private joke or you may see Oatie during your stay. Have a drink in the bar and see if your glass and money attracts the playful ghosts. CONTACT INFORMATION Oatman Hotel 181 Main St, Oatman AZ 86331, Ph 928-768-4408 http://www.yelp.com/biz/oatman-hotel-oatman PHOENIX Hotel San Carlos This hotel is haunted by a 22 year old woman called Leone Jensen. In 1928 Leone Jensen committed suicide or was pushed off the roof of the hotel wearing a beautiful evening gown. Leones cloud-like figure has been seen walking through the hotel. At other times a strange unexplainable breeze blows through the hotels halls. Then theres the weird noises that give visitors a fright! My take - this haunting is real. Leone sounds like she needs an intervention. Sometimes ghosts are kept on earth because of strong emotions like love fear and despair. Also if Leone was pushed off the roof of the hotel she may be searching for justice. I think the Bell boy she was in love with may have had something to do with her murder? Either way this hotel sounds an interesting one to visit. CONTACT INFORMATION Hotel San Carlos 202 N Central Ave, Phoenix AZ 85004, Ph 602-253-4121 http://www.hotelsancarlos.com

PRESCOTT Hassayampa Inn In 1927 a young bride and groom checked in to Room 426. The man went out to buy a packet of cigarettes and never returned. Feeling desperate and jilted the bride Faith, hung herself. Some people say Faith killed herself from the balcony others say from the Bell Tower above her room. Today visitors can still hear her crying and people have seen Faith all over the hotel. Sometimes she is crying and other times she looks beautiful dressed in a pink gown carrying flowers. The Staff at the hotel report Faith turning off the gas burners in the kitchen stove and causing drinks to spill. My take - Faith is a real ghost. The poor girl committed suicide and she still sounds as if she cant get over the heart break of being jilted by her rat of a husband. Someone should try to convince Faith that she has wept for her no good husband long enough. If you are searching for a real haunted hotel the Hassayampa Inn certainly fits the bill. CONTACT INFORMATION Hassayampa Inn 122 E. In 1921 Abbys husband went out to get medicine one day and never came back. Feeling rejected and suicidal Abby locked her cat Noble in the cupboard and let it starve to death. Abby refused to eat or drink and eventually died still waiting for her husband to return to her. Abby seems to be waiting at the inn still. Room 16 especially has had many visitors report that they have seen Abby in the room. Objects move around the room and footsteps have been heard outside Room 16. Spirits have been seen around the entrance to the Hotel. My take - Abby and her cat are really haunting the Inn. People who die feeling great emotional trauma very often refuse to pass over in to the spirit world. Perhaps someone needs to tell Abby that it is time for her to move on? This misery she felt may have created a portal between this world and the spirit world. I believe the portal is in the entrance way to the hotel. CONTACT INFORMATION Hotel Vendome 230 S. info@vendomehotel.com http://www.vendomehotel.com SCOTTSDALE The Hermosa Inn Lon Megargee was a cowboy and an artist. He built the Hermosa Inn with his own hands. In 1941 he had to sell up and later in 1960 he died. Today Lon is said to have returned to the Hermosa Inn. He flushes toilets and breaks glasses. My take the haunting is real and Lon Megargee is back at the Heromosa Inn. I would recommend a spiritual cleansing so that Lon can move on to the spiritual realm. CONTACT INFORMATION The Hermosa Inn 5532 North Palo Cristi Road, Scottsdale Arizona Ph (602) 955-8614 http://www.hermosainn.com TOMBSTONE Buford House Bed And Breakfast Built in 1880 this house has had an interesting history. It was the home of two Sheriffs, a mayor an Arizona Senator and John Wayne the actor. There is a ghost of a young man who committed suicide when a girl refused to marry him. The man has been seen both inside the house and just outside the home. The doorbell rings at all hours but there is never anyone there at the front door. Taps are turned on and off throughout the house. Strange lights have been seen inside the house at night and visitors have reported hearing knocks against the walls of their bedroom The ghost targets women so be warned some women have reported their hair being touched or the feeling that someone is brushing their fingers against the back of their neck. My take - this is a hotel with an interesting past and if you are a woman and looking for a ghostly experience this might just be the hotel to visit. There is at least one real ghost haunting this B & B. Hotel Congress Built in 1919 the Hotel Congress catered for cattle ranchers and travelers who came via the trains to Tuscon. The face of a man who died of a heart attack can sometimes be seen staring out of a window. Room 242 has the ghost of a woman who committed suicide in the bathroom. Visitors have spotted the ghost both in the room and just outside the room. Do not expect a good nights sleep in Room 242. Many visitors have complained about strange noises in the room at night and many people who sleep in this room have terrifying nightmares. My take - this hotel is genuinely haunted by ghosts. The fact that so many people have experienced frightening things in Room 242 and nightmares suggests that the ghost is interacting with people. If you want a genuinely ghostly experience visit the Hotel Congress. In 1940 there was a murder on the stairs and the saloons lawless ways were finally curbed. In 1994 the hotel was opened as a bed and breakfast. The hotel is haunted by a shy Hispanic girl everyone calls Eve. Eve has appeared in photographs and in the hotel mattresses. She can sometimes be heard on the stairs. My take - this hotel is haunted by at least one real ghost Eve. I feel that there is violence around this ghost and she remains here because she feels ashamed. An interesting place to visit and if you happen to run in to Eve show the girl some love. The people who hurt this poor girl are the ones who should feel the shame. Eve needs to understand that there is happiness and love waiting for her in the spirit world. CONTACT INFORMATION The Red Garter Bed and Bakery 137 W. Hotel Lee Built in 1917, the Hotel Lee is the oldest hotel in Yuma and it is on the National Register of Historic Places. Three ghosts all women have been sighted at the hotel. The first ghost was the owner of the hotel. She has been seen walking in the hall ways and she knocks and rattles doors. An Indian Sqaw has been seen hovering above visitor beds and she has been known to move objects. The third ghost is a young teenage girl. She has been seen carrying towels and this suggests that she worked at the hotel at one time. My take - the owner of the hotel and the Indian sqaw are genuine hauntings but I suspect that the young girl with the towels appears due to electromagnetic influences and is a residual haunting as she does not interact with people.
