Write a short summary of the case?

Today the job market is not the one which was a decade before. It has become more dynamic. But there are certain things those never changes these are fears and futuristic hopes. Today is the era of I-Generation. Every one i.e. employee & employer knows what is new & what is best in market in terms of company, technology, product etc. but to be ahead in the crowd they have to strive for the better strategies based on their vision, their future plans. For an H.R. manager or for C.E.O. the leadership skills required at are now at different level. Future s uncertain & unpredictable but now C.E.O. has to anticipate the future and effectively address it (problems addressing) so that they can be ahead in the race. At present two major issues that are very hot in an organization is firstly to attract new talent and secondly to retain the talented pool in he organization. For an organization it is very difficult to understand the behaviour of employee. Taking an instance mostly BPO companies has a high infloe and outflow of talent (employee) which adversely effect the health of an organization. Today no employee wants to be a part of a team which has no objective or say no set goal or path to achieve that goal. Its like a person heaving no zeal to strive for anything in life. Everyone wants to be a part of that ship which is moving towards its destination with a good pace which means that employees wants to be a part of such a team which is moving a good pace for striving its objective because it gives ample of opportunity to employees to grow and learn the new tactics of corporate world. To give the path or objective to the team of an organization is now not merely part of an HR manager but now a CEO is equally responsible for this job i.e. to boost up the employees and to set the objective. According to the MAN POWER REPORT, the changing world of work , the changed hierarchy of organizational structure has completely vanished the old structure like now the concept of virtual offices is at peak . offices are now highly mechanised with the latest gizmos making work

simple .this change has completely changed the scenario of working of organization. These infrastructural changes can be categorised into 3 types of infrastructure: 1) Physical Infrastructure 2) Intellectual Infrastructure 3) Emotional Infrastructure Physical infrastructure like change in the seating arrangement, change in the ambience and hygiene factor with that the intellectual infrastructure means the change in the challenges associated with the job which makes them interesting and challenging and emotional infrastructure means the relation between employee and employer. Employees today are looking for a friendly relationship with a homely enviourment. Now a crucial question arises i.e. what is that which leads to employee and employer working together? And there are two terminologies which clarifies the above doubt i.e. 1) Psychological contract which means a mental state to accept the job responsibilities and commitment to carry out the success of the organization. 2) Employment Contract which spell out the terms and contract related to a job With this another challenge that comes into the picture is creating values for both i.e. employees and employers which are beyond the fat survey. Actually salary is not the binding force between employee and employer but there are lots of things like vision, values, autonomy, meaning full objective & satisfaction from performing a job. These points are the core for any relation in an organization. These are the concepts that have to be tackled by todays leader to lead a team and the reward and recognisation system has to support it. In todays era the person who has rigid belief about how tomorrow Is going to be can only be successful.

One of the key glues that holds people together in an organization is purposeful momentum Discuss?
Nobody wants to step up in a ship which has an endless journey. Today its not the game of fat salary and good perks its the game of challenges. Purposeful momentum signifies that without any objective or goal a team cannot be charged up and today the employees want those jobs which have an objective or goal to achieve and challenge to make job more interesting and opportunity to grow the level of knowledge and step up in life and add on the various experiences. If an employee fails to allocate or assign a job which doesnt have an objective or enough challenges to tackle the employees faith on the employer will diminish, resulting a step out from the organization. Like taking an example say X Ltd a networking company which deals in health care and cosmetics products. Company policy says any member who achieves the target of making member of 25 and sales of more than Rs. 3 Lakh will get 10 % commission additional of what he gets and a holiday package of 2 people within the country and if achieves the target of Rs. 10 Lakh and 50 members he or she is entitled to get 20 % commission and a foreign trip for 2 people for 10 days. So these are some of the challenges which bind the employees to remain in the organization. The above example is associated with perks and incentive but if we look at the advertising sector their people faces challenges everyday in terms of ad making or targeting, or copyrights etc. which makes their job interesting. On the other hand those jobs like Call Centre or government jobs where people have to just sit and speak, no challenges involved or associated with the job tend to lose interest in their jobs and get bored easily. So if an employer wants to retain its talent of the company than he or she must be capable enough to provide the challenging jobs which has a meaning or say objective associated with it so that the employees do not switch over.
