Purpose of Contest
The purpose of contest is to encourage students to design and build Embedded systems for mobile, networked or standalone applications performing various intelligent functionalities using LabVIEW as the graphical programming platform. Its a golden opportunity for engineering students to come out new ideas and innovations in embedded systems having interesting applications.
Contest Description
The proposed Embedded system must be programmed using LabVIEW as the programming Platform.The participating teams document the code and the document, source code, and application video will be made available to the other participating teams for subsequent years.
How to participate?
You need to submit a 1 to 3 page report detailing your idea for an embedded project having interesting application(s) with working model of your project at Venue that will be informed later on http://planetni.in/. Entries must be submitted as an electronic file in the .doc, .docx, .pdf or .txt format, and report should address the following
Project Vision: Why did you choose the application you have decided? What areas will it address? How feasible is it in the long run? How will you go about implementing it? Challenges and limitations Software Tools being used: National Instruments LabVIEW and toolkits Hardware tools being used Estimated Timeframes Note- All Entry materials must be submitted in English. This abstract can be sent to us via email at niyantra2011@ni.com In addition, by submitting your entry into this Contest you confirm that, to the best of your knowledge: Your entry is your own original work; and Your entry only includes material (including music, video or images) that you own, or that you have permission from the copyright / trademark owner to use
Will the teams get any support from NI towards completing their projects?
National Instruments will do its best to help deserving students complete their project successfully. Hardware support- National Instruments will provide 5 CVS and 5 SBRIOs as loaners if the need arises. These will be provided to students who have completed their codes and who may have difficulty in procuring hardware parts to complete their projects, at first come criteria on a loaner basis for a period of 2 weeks. The team will have to complete the project within 2 weeks of receiving the loaner, failing which the loaner will have to be returned to National Instruments. If needed, please drop in a mail at niyantra2010@ni.com to request for a loaner once the code is completed.

Software support- The National Instruments team of support engineers will be available to help the participating teams with any software support they may need at. For any technical assistance with your project you can contact support. india@ni.com or call at 080-41190099. The support may be limited to the extent of National Instruments software and hardware being used.

That by accepting a prize, National Instruments may use your name and place of residence online and in print, or in any other media, in connection with this Contest, without payment or compensation to you. This Contest will be governed by the laws of the Republic of India, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts of the Republic of India for any disputes arising out of this Contest.
