Tunisia to empower a generation of green microentrepreneurs

Mar 17, 2011 00:16 EAT

Ambassador Hope has been asked to provide a micro- entrepreneur Policy into Practice to empower the youth to start their own businesses and emerge the green economy in Tunisia. Ambassador Hope developed the Foreign Empowerment Policy for President Obama and the G20 to shift from an aid to empowerment for the G192 countries. Tunisia invested in educating a generation of youth but failed to grow the entrepreneurial system to empower the youth after graduation. The Middle East has 100 million unemployed youth: the region is wasting its natural resources and the talent and energy of its youth. Ambassador Hope has developed a Policy and practice which plans top down and invests bottom up. The unemployed youth will register by mobile phone for a micro-enterprise license and select a Business in a Box that suits their skills and interests. The Business in a Box will be delivered with the technologies, products and step-by-step guide. Working capital will be credited to their mobile bank account and they can receive and make payments to any mobile phone in the world. Queen of Green FZE will manage the program from UAE and the youth microentrepreneurs can access experienced entrepreneurs by phone or sms to answer real time questions on how to start and grow their businesses. Hope said simplifying the processes and speeding up the youths ability to learn, earn and serve is vital to a positive transformation for Tunisia. We can put youth to work in their own businesses, emerge the green economy and create prosperity from the ground up. Queen of Green is a global network of green stakeholders from 29 diverse sectors who share a common goal of transforming their world. Ambassador Hope has developed a Social Investment Portfolio of 14 programs to empower the poor in 70+ countries. She passionately believes in empowering the talent and skills of the poorest of the poor to become green and sustainable. By integrating the

development process to ensure energy, food, and health security is combined with education and micro-enterprises for economic security it is possible to mobilize millions of citizens to be the change they want to see in the world.
