First Choice Health is the largest Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) in Washington State and is the premier healthcare network provider in the five state region of the Pacific Northwest. Local and National health-plan carriers representing over one million lives rent access to the network. The PPO prices nearly six million claims each year. In addition, the company provides Third-Party Administration (TPA) for self-funded groups with seventy thousand lives. The TPA handles claims processing, adjudication, and provider payment. IT Manager Application Support June 2008 Present June 2008 transitioned day-to-day production application support from development teams into a newly created Application Support team that included the DBA. Began coordinating the software release process from user acceptance testing (UAT) through delivery into production. November 2008 transitioned the web development team into Application Support.
