Synopsis
The film is set in the backdrop of a struggling ad agency that needs that one critical big project to survive. Their big chance comes when the boss Srinivasan (Mouli) gets to pitch for Johnsons range of baby products. The client is very demanding and insists on a cute baby model. The art director Arjun (Ajmal Ameer) and his colleague Archana (Rupa Manjari) somehow manage to find a baby the client is happy with but unfortunately on the day of the shoot, the baby falls sick. The duo run helter-skelter trying to find a replacement when Arjun finds a woman with a cute baby. He tries to convince the mother to let the baby act and in the ensuing argument she gets into an accident and is hospitalized. Arjun admits her to the hospital and takes the baby to the client who approves. On his return, he finds that the lady is missing and he is literally left holding the baby. There are many hilarious moments as he and Archana take care of the baby. The ad film is successfully shot but they need the signature of the babys parents giving consent to the ads and they try to trace then. They are shocked to find that the baby was stolen and the rest of the film shows them trying to unite the baby with the parents. In the process, they discover a racket of stolen babies, romance blossoms between the two opposites, the ad film gets made and the client is happy! RECENT Reviews Films People Blogs

Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru or T4 is the perfect popcorn entertainer, a fresh, lively urban romance with some rollicking moments of fun. Debutant director Nandhini JS, who is a gold medalist from the Chennai Film Institute, makes her mark with this hilarious entertainer that refreshingly refrains from double entendres and slapstick comedy.

The opening titles set the mood for the film right from the beginning. You expect something different as you watch the clean white backdrop come alive with the lead pair appearing and playing pranks on each other with the titles appearing on multi-coloured dice. And refreshingly different it is. The romance here works differently, the couple only sense their feelings for each other at the end of the film. No saccharine sentimental dialogues and soulful waiting, the pair dont have time for that, they are too busy trying to solve the series of problems that they seem to run headlong into. The lively nuggets of humour keep the film light, entertaining and moving along. When Rupa ask Ajmal how he will look after the baby, he retorts , I have brought up puppies so dont worry. You also find yourself chuckling when the baby is crying and the practical Rupa sits turning pages looking for a way to stop as the baby bawls. Ajmal Ameer as the easy-go-lucky average Joe performs his role adequately enough though he does tend to go over the top occassionally and some streaks of Vijay do come into his performance. Newcomer Rupa Manjari performs her role well and is able to light up the screen with her charm. Whether its a light-hearted moment or an anxious one she shares with Ajmal, her large eyes bring life to it. Cherubic baby Darshan is winsome with his endearing smiles. Mouli as the passionate ad agency owner whose dream is on the verge of sinking has many moments filled with doubt, tension and despair besides those bravely trying to hide his feelings from his wife and staff. To his credit, he conveys all these with great conviction and dignity. On the technical side, Sudhir Chaudhary, a gold medalist from the Chennai Film Institute and Nandhini's batchmate, handles the camera. The cinematography matches the mood of the film as well-lit, happy frames dominate. It has been completely shot on the Red Camera and is the first Tamil film to have an all digital release in India and abroad. Mani Sharma's music works best with Jilenna Veesum, a melodious number that has been shot in beautiful green mountain locales. The cameras sweeping pan shots across the landscape gives the song the poetic feel that it calls for. However, some of the other songs do seem an interruption to the smooth flow of the story and one feels they have been forced in unnecessarily. The sets have an air-brushed advertising film feel, the kind of obsession advertising film makers have with the perfectly spotless walls and that perfectly placed artifact. All in all, T4 is entertainment, pure and simple. Go for it!
