I have always recognized / acknowledged the desire I have always felt to be drawn closer and have a deeper relationship with God. But like any young professional, the desire has never been realized because of so many distractions that I face everyday like deadlines at work, activities with family and friends, etc. In my heart, I knew that Sunday masses are not enough to build a strong relationship with God. So everyday I will pray for God to arrange my schedule and to work in my life so that I will not miss the opportunities to spend quality time with Him. From Passion to Resurrection

Here is an excerpt from the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, regarding His Passion, to St. Elizabeth, Queen of Hungary, with St. Matilda and St. Bridget, worth reading: St. Elizabeth, Queen of Hungary, with St.Matilda and St.Bridget, wishing to know something of the Passion of Jesus Christ, offered fervent and special prayers, upon which there appeared to them our Lord Jesus Christ who spoke to each of them in the following manner: Be it known that the number of armed soldiers were 150; those who trailed Me while I was bound were 23. The executioners of justice were 83; the blows received on My head were 150; those on My stomach,108; kicks on My shoulders,80; I was led, bound with cords, by the hair, 24 times; spits on the face were 180; I was beaten on the body, 6666 times; beaten on the head,110 times. I was roughly pushed, and at 12 o'clock was lifted by the hair; pricked with thorns and pulled by the beard,23 times; received 20 wounds on the head; thorns of marine junks,72; pricks of thorns in the head,110; mortal thorns in the forehead,3. I was afterwards flogged and dressed as a mocked king; wounds in the body,1000. The soldiers who led Me to the Calvary were 608; those who watched Me were 3, and those who mocked Me were 1008; the drops of blood which I lost were 28,430." A Gentle Reminder when receiving Jesus in the Holy Eucharist

We are very fortunate and blessed here in CPS because we are given the opportunity to receive Jesus in both species: His body in the form of bread and His Precious Blood in the form of wine. As church has instructed, the action of Intinction i.e. dipping the bread into the wine, is for the priest alone. As the faithful, we receive the Bread of Life and sip the wine, receiving as a sign of humility, the Gift of the Eucharist. Intinction implies, by contrast, a taking for oneself.

loved us unto death that we may live. But death did not have a hold on Him. He rose victoriously on the third day giving us the promise that we too, one day, will rise with Him. Heaven is our goal, we are only Bldgs pilgrims here on earth. As we celebrate the Eucharist, Jesus invites us to re-live and partake in His Passion, Death and Resurrection. So that by dying and rising with him we will be His living witnesses, in our workplaces...touching and renewing everyone we meet. May the celebrations of Holy Week, Easter & Pentecost, bring us to a deeper understanding of God's love for us. Wishing you and loved ones the joy of the Risen Lord!
