SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT The chapter discusses the name of the firm, its location and the brief

description of the study. This also discusses the market, technical, management, and financial feasibility. Name of the Firm The right choice of the firm name carries with it the character of individuals behind it building a reputation and goodwill that give a positive perception of people. Sometimes it gives people an idea of what kind of business they are working on. Choosing the name of the firm entails hard work for the proponents. Brainstorming has been conducted to think of a name that captures the proponents ideals and attributes yet interesting enough to promptly catch attention of the customers. The proponents named the firm Nutritive Manufacturing. The name came from the words of nutritious and vitamins which are part of the description of the proposed product. Location The proper zoning of the plant location is an essential consideration with regards to putting up a business venture. Thus, the firms plant and head office will be located in Alangilan, Batangas City. This location was selected because it is near the city proper where most of the retailers are located. The place is semi industrialized because of the existence of different establishments in the area such as Pet Plans, GSIS, hardwares, convenient stores, private and public schools. The plant site is considered to be very ideal because it is near the main road so there will be an easy delivery and transportation of raw materials and finished products from the site of the production and to the retailers. Another reason why the proponents chose the location is that the owner of the business site offered a rental amount of Php4, 000 only per month with the agreement that there will be no rental increase. The proponents chose Batangas City because they believe that there is a high probability for its marketability for the following reasons: it has high population growth, it has an increasing number of industries and commercial establishments, it offers different services and it generates municipal income in the form of business and real estate taxes. Brief description of the project The objective of the project is to determine the practicability and success of the business that the proponents were setting up to launch within a particular length of time or even over time. Nutritive Manufacturing will be engaged in the production of a particular and innovative concentrated juice. It will manufacture

sufficient amount of said product in order to have a share in the market gap and accordingly furnish the existing demand for the product. The endeavour will make use of a kind of channel distribution where product is made obtainable to the consumer through the retailers. The firm will sell concentrated juice to the retailers and they will be then act as a mediator linking manufacturers and potential consumers. Project Feasibility This section gives the reader an insight of the whole study. Each aspect of the study is summarized to provide advance information of what is to be tackled in each aspect. Market Feasibility. In the present study, market feasibility speaks of market viability of the product. The proponents determined the existing demand and supply for the product through interviews and questionnaires. Straight line method was used to know the demand and supply, historical value for the year 2000 to 2004 served as supporting data to arrive at the projected values that were taken from LRDC. After gathering the necessary data, the researchers realized the market feasibility of the product. The fact that there is a large demand for juices and that carrots and calamansi contains a lot of vitamins and minerals good for the body prompted the proponents to come up with the idea of producing the Carrot Calamansi Concentrated Juice because they believed that this would be in demand to the target consumers and there is an assurance that this would invade the market. In this study, the proponents discussed the 5 Ps of the product and the SWOT analysis of the business venture. There will be a big opportunity for the product to expand its target market. The proponents were able to know that there are market gaps that are needed to satisfy the consumers. The increasing trend in production was considered as one of the proof of the market feasibility of the product. Technical Feasibility. In this study, all the significant elements in conducting the business were discussed. The uses and benefits of Carrot Calamansi Concentrated Juice were identified. The manufacturing process is the basis for the number of units to be made daily. The time and motion was studied carefully. The partners determined the proper management and utilization of raw materials that will be used in the production process. Raw materials will be delivered to the plant location in carton boxes. Each box will contain 24 units of the product and will be included in the selling expense. The raw materials are at reasonable prices. Plant layout and plant site were designed for the convenience of the worker. The service providers for utilities such as BCWD, Meralco, and PLDT were also available and their already installed as well as the waste disposal to be collected by the City Governments truck.

Management Feasibility. The proponents engaged into partnership in order to establish the manufacturing of Carrot Calamansi Concentrated Juice. The partners required an amount of Php185, 000.00 for its capitalization. A line structure is used to be able to have a well managed business operation and decision making process.
