Holder of all existing and new Alliance Bank Principal Credit Cards may apply to transfer outstanding amount balances (including principal, accrued interest, finance, and other charges as shown in the latest Credit Card statements)(the Outstanding Balances) from other card accounts relating to any other Credit Cards held by them (except Alliance Bank Credit Card) (Other Card Account) to any Alliance Bank Credit Card account held in their name (Alliance Bank Card Account) 2. Four Balance Transfer (BT) Plans which are available i.e. i. BT Fixed 12-month Instalment Plan (Minimum transfer amount is RM1,000) ii. BT Fixed 18-month Instalment Plan (Minimum transfer amount is RM2,000) iii. BT Fixed 24-month Instalment Plan (Minimum transfer amount is RM2,000) iv. BT Flexi 6-month Plan (Minimum transfer amount is RM2,000) All transfer amounts should be in multiple of hundreds and up to a maximum of 80% total credit limit. 3. The duly signed and dated Balance Transfer application form must be attached together with a photocopy of the other banks Credit Card or latest Credit Card statement. 4. The special Finance Charge will be valid from the posting date (Date of Posting) for a period of 24 months (the Promotional Period) for BT Fixed 24-month Instalment Plan, 18 months (the Promotional Period) for BT Fixed 18-month Instalment Plan, 12 months (the Promotional Period) for BT Fixed 12-month Instalment Plan (The Promotions Period) for BT Flexi 6-month Plan. For all plans, at the expiry of the Promotion Period, a normal finance charge at 17.5% per annum will be charged to any Outstanding Balances until full settlement. Refer to table in the application form for the details of the BT Plans. 5. All applications are subject to the Banks prior approval and the Terms and Conditions herein. The Bank reserves the right to approve or reject any application and determine the Outstanding Balances allowed to be transferred (the Approved Balance) at its absolute discretion. 6. The Approved Balance will reduce the available credit limit of the eligible Cardmember accordingly. 7. A notification letter will be sent to the Cardmember advising him/her whether or not his/her application for the BT Plans has been approved. In the event an application is approved, payment to Other Credit Account will be made in the manner provided herein. 8. The payment to Other Card Account will be effected within 14 working days from the approval date of the Cardmembers application. However the Bank may defer or refuse the process of effecting balance transfer under certain circumstances which includes, but not limited to the following: i. Circumstances beyond the Banks control; ii. Where the balance transfer cannot be effected due to security reasons. The Bank shall not be liable to the Cardmember if it defers or fails to effect the balance transfer pursuant to this clause. 9. Once a specified amount of the Outstanding Balances to be transferred has been approved, a corresponding amount of the eligible Cardmembers existing Credit Card limit will be retained for this purpose and shall not be available to the eligible Cardmember until settlement of the Approved Balance. On the Date of Posting, this specified amount will then be utilised and finance charges will start to commence thereon. The Bank shall not be liable to the eligible Cardmember for any transactions rejected by merchants due to unavailability of the amounts retained pursuant to this clause. 10. Prior to notification of approval for the BT Plan, the Cardmember shall continue to be liable to make payment to their Other Card Account in accordance with the terms governing the same. The Cardmember shall be directly liable for interest on any overdue payment or any other finance or other charges incurred as a result of the Cardmembers and/or the Banks failure or delay in making payment before or after the Banks approval of the Cardmembers application for the balance transfer. 11. For the BT Flexi 6-Month Plan, the eligible Cardmember shall make a minimum payment of 5% of the outstanding balance transfer amount, or RM50 whichever is higher due on the payment due date as specified in the statement for payment. For the BT 12-month Instalment Plan, BT 18-month Instalment Plan and BT 24-month Instalment Plan, the monthly instalment calculated as the total sum of the amount transferred plus interest on the amount so transferred divided by the number of months in the instalment period. Interest rate is fixed at 6% p.a. for 12 months instalment period, 6% p.a. for 18 months instalment period and at 6% p.a. for 24 months instalment period. The monthly instalment shall form part of the Cardmembers specified minimum payment as defined in the Card Agreement (herein defined.) 12. For BT Flexi 6-month Plan, interest is charged on a monthly basis with the first month interest of 0.42% charged upfront and thereafter based on the outstanding balance for the subsequent months. There is no processing fee charged for all Balance Transfer plans. 13. For the BT Flexi 6-month Plan, if the Cardmember fails to pay the minimum payment of 5% of the outstanding balance transfer account of RM50 whichever is higher, due on the payment due date as specified in the statement for payment then the Bank reserves the right to revise the offered interest rates to normal rate of 17.5% p.a. on the outstanding balance from the due date until the date of full settlement. 14. For the BT Fixed 12-month Instalment Plan, BT Fixed 18-month Instalment Plan and BT Fixed 24-month Instalment Plan, the eligible Cardmember shall make a minimum payment of 5% of the monthly outstanding amount due or RM50, whichever is higher. In the event Cardmember fails to pay the minimum monthly outstanding amount of 5% the monthly outstanding amount due or RM50, whichever is higher, due on the payment due date as specified in the statement for payment or if the payment is not received by the Bank in full or before payment due date as specified in the aforesaid statement, then the prevailing finance charge of 17.5% p.a. shall be levied on the remaining monthly outstanding balance from the due date until the date of full settlement. 15. An Exit Fee at the rate of 5% of the total approved amount will be charged for BT Flexi 6-month Plan, BT Fixed 12-month Instalment Plan, BT Fixed 18-month Instalment Plan and BT Fixed 24-month Instalment Plan if the eligible Cardmember terminates and/or discontinues with the BT Plan within the Promotional Period. The Exit Fee will be chargeable to his/her Credit Card account, and the Cardmember shall be liable to settle in full all outstanding balances, fees and finance charges imposed by the Bank upon closure of the account in accordance with the Card Agreement (hereinafter defined). 16. The Terms & Condition herein are in addition to and without prejudice to the Terms & Conditions stated in the Alliance Bank VISA/MasterCard Cardmember Agreement (Card Agreement). 17. The Bank reserves the right at its sole and absolute discretion to amend the Terms & Conditions herein from time to time with or without notice to the Cardmember and the duly amended Terms & Conditions shall become effective on the date specified by the Bank. 18. I/We hereby confirm that none of my spouse(s), parents, children, brothers, sisters, their spouses and/or their financial dependants and/or my agents and guarantors are in the employment of the Bank or its subsidiaries or are related to a director, officer or employee of the Bank or its subsidiaries. I/We undertake to inform the Bank immediately if any such relationship is established/intended to be established. 19. The Terms & Condition herein shall be governed by and be construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. 20. In the event there is any discrepancy or conflict between the English and Bahasa Malaysia version of these Terms & Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
