VUNKUWA INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY & SPA is rooted in the old INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY wisdom and mystery of Africa, the cradle of human kind where the secret of a long hidden treasure of manual therapy, based on old traditional ways of healing and working with plants and herbs, was passed on from generation to generation. Carol Mathebula learned the wisdom and the knowledge of awareness of the body & the free mind from her great-grandmother. The rich inheritance within the family to know the body in its best ability and to use and to work with the earth surrounding us, made her aware of the healing abilities of the body and the mind. In the nineties, Carol gave this unique way of massage therapy a place into the world, driven by her passion for natural therapies from an early age on and instigated by her great-grandmother. Today she teaches this unique technique to different spas and therapists around the world. Those who have had encounter with it are fascinated by this ancient sense of touch. The Vunkuwa range of products is dedicated to enhance the naturality and the beauty of your skin by using organic ingredients and eco-friendly processing to the highest degree possible. Our products are handmade and the ingredients handpicked. In the production process no heating or hydrogenating processes take place. Our products bring this richness of Africa into your spa or home driven as we are by the passion to enhance the longetivity of the skin in the simplicity of nature at its essence. To create and manufacture the best possible product, we always look for the best natural ingredient. We work with a dedicated and passionate group of scientists who create natural fragrances as close to nature as possible and herbalists who harvest with respect for Mother Nature the herbs and plants we use for our product.
