Purpose
The purpose of the project charter is to ensure that the Executive Sponsor and stakeholders understand the background of the project, objectives, strategic fit, business case, project scope, and success factors. Project Description
The project is intended to To provide services to coordinate contractors and installers, To oversee network installation To build and wire all equipment in the server rooms To activate network servers To reconfigure many of the workstations to connect with the new network servers across the new fiber-optic cables.
Project Objective
The project is to improve the buildings, develop new infrastructure and configure and install new devices and layout the fiber optic cable to all areas of both school buildings. This network will replace the existing legacy network and will provide high speed connection to the Internet for all users. The Construction Task has many key stakeholders and vendors. The Project Management team will be responsible for ensuring appropriate communication between various stakeholder teams. The Counterpoint team will also oversee network installation, build and wire all equipment in the server rooms and activate the network servers. They will also reconfigure many of the workstations to connect with the new network servers across the new fiber-optic cables using a set of workstation images.
Organizational context
Weedsport School District has to set up the whole network infrastructure to provide an infrastructure which is advances and the benefits of this can taken by the students, staff and the faculty.

Assumptions
Some of the assumptions about the project that are to be followed: The construction work should not interfere with the existing schedule of the school and the work should be carried on a large scale on weekends and holidays. The new network should be provided to the students and faculty but it should be noted that data communication should be continuous throughout the work period. Counterpoint will provide response to all questions by Project or District administration regarding all aspects of the new network systems.
