Victorywhatdoesitlooklike? We receive His power when we do it His way, no matter the circumstance. We allow God to be our advocate when we follow His plans and precepts. We have the great Creator of all of the universe on our side. If we take it upon ourselves, we block God from working on our behalf. What does Victory look like? Victory is allowing God to be judge. I Peter 2:23-24 When he was abused, he did not return abuse; when he suffered, he did not threaten; but he entrusted himself to the one who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that, free from sins, we might live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. o Do not abuse, when youve been abused. o Do not threaten when being threatened. o Entrust yourself and your circumstances to God. Victory is blessing your enemies, when you feel like going into attack mode.

I Peter 3:8 Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Do not repay evil for evil or abuse for abuse; but, on the contrary, repay with a blessing. It is for this that you were calledthat you might inherit a blessing. o Do not retaliate. o Bless when you dont feel like it. o Bless means to speak well of another also praying for their well-being. Victory is refusing to stay in the place of grief. Naomi was stuck in grief although God blessed her with a life time companion who loved her like family. Allow yourself a time of mourning and then move on o Godly sorrow leads to repentance. o Earthly sorrow leads to death. Victory is accepting loss. King David fasted 7 days before his child died and after the child died, he got up, washed face and had a feast. Proper grieving has a limit on it. For everything there is a season.a time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, a time to danceEccl 3:4 Victory is developing a new identity. Naomi renames herself Mara as in bitter and took on a wrong identity. What have you named yourself? Once born again, we have a new identity. We are a new creation, with a new nature, with a new heart, a new spirit and a new mind.

Victory is choosing to stand on truth He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Ps 147:3 The Lord is near the broken hearted.

Victory is remembering there is purpose in your pain. o We suffer to be refined in our faith o We suffer to become more Christ-like o We suffer to grow in endurance, character and hope Victory is seeing pain and suffering from an eternal perspective God had a plan for Ruth; she was to be used. Remember-there is purpose in your pain. Allow God to shape and mold you. Allow God to use us, all our hurts, all our sorrow all our tears. Victory is learning to be theo-centrico God-centered in our thinking o Having an Eternal perspective. o Look to the cross as our example\Christ suffered, Rejection, Lied about, Spit upon, Questioned about his intentions and purposes, Questioned his calling, his mission, his purpose Jesus Christ went through all pain and suffering for you and I Lastly, Do you want His love to flow through you? Victory is choosing love Ruths love for Naomi outweighed the grief of her lifes circumstances . But Ruth said, Do not press me to leave you or to turn back from following you! Where you go, I will go; where you lodge, I will

lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God. Where you die, I will die there will I be buried. May the Lord do thus and so to me, and more as well if even death parts me from you! Ruth 1:16-17 Victory is loving like Jesus Christ loved.
